Hi, this is probably dumb but if you’re the person in question, I hope you’re reading this. Today we were on a lift together with you and your wife/partner, who I later learned was named Jessa(spelling unknown). You both seemed cool, we talked about coffee and how we make it. Then we got off the lift, your partner who is obviously learning(as is mine), wiped you out. It happens, no reason to get angry or treat your supposedly best friend like total shit. But instead you screamed your face off “what the fuck!!! What the fuck jessa!!!”. You said more but we didn’t want to listen. Then you decided to get your self together and completely ditch Jessa, just took off like a skier chasing the best pow ever on a shit day. All the while, your partner limped around like a beat dog. Her body language broke my wife and i’s hearts. You sir are a piece of shit. No matter what happens in life speaking to your “best friend” that way is never acceptable. If you treat her like that in public, I can’t even imagine how you treat her in private. To make it even it better you looked like a fucking fool trying to cuss out your partner while you were split like a porn star. And Jessa if you’re reading this, you deserve better, go find it.
Who is the best ISP serving east Arvada / Westminster? If you tell me it is Quantum Fiber I am going to become a Luddite and move to Saskatchewan.
A good ISP doesn't go offline every few weeks and, when a good ISP does go offline, it notifies you relatively instantly.
Looking for a good touchless car wash in the Arvada or Westminster area!
My cat Charlie got out sometime last night and we haven’t sent him since. If anyone happens to see her please let me know
Anyone else noticed that after a snow the main streets are in pretty good shape, and then you will drive into another town and the same streets are completely snow covered and iced over? Its kinda funny to me. In my head the Arvada plows just get to a border and turn around like "suck it Westminster."
Like the post says we are potentially moving out to Colorado and are coming out in late February to do some exploring and getting a feel for the area. We would be renting for a year to really make sure it is where we would like to be. We would be mid-west transplants, have some friends out there, a growing family, love hiking, and a feeling of community. Would love to get thoughts from people who currently live there! Here is a list of our like-to-haves in an area:
|| || |Walkable, nice sidewalks|Walkable to grocery store| |Short walk to nice park(s)|Walkable to restaurants/coffee| |Able to go on nice runs|Walkable to library, gym, rec centers| |Hiking trails walkable or short drive (<10 min)|Walkable to daycare, elementary| |Family-friendly, safe, diverse|Park with swimming lake/pool| |Short drive (<5 min) good grocery store|<30 min to airport| |Community center|Close to public transit| |Public library|| |Good daycare/childcare||
I am considering raising hens for eggs on my corner lot. I’m in a residential neighborhood, so while I have the space, I’m trying to assess how disruptive this might be for my neighbors, as well as general startup + upkeep that will be needed.
Does anyone around here raise chickens? Can you share a little bit about your experience? Thanks!
Moved to Arvada a couple months ago and despite my past experiences with Xfinity they were the only ISP in my neighborhood. CenturyLink could only offer dial up speeds.
Two months in and the Xfinity nightmare is in full force. Has anyone had any luck with Verizon 5g wireless Internet or any other wireless providers? Or have an update as to if/when another option may arrive?
As the title states, I’m looking for an interior decorator in the area to help with refreshing decor around my house. Any recommendations in the area? I’d probably be looking to hire at a total of ten hours or less. Feel free to DM me if preferred.
Didn’t buy them, but just wanted to share. Yikes! Time to be come vegan.
I want to try nattō, the stinky, sticky, fermented soybeans from Japanese cuisine. Don't ask me why, I don't know why, I just do.
I tried H-Mart and Great Wall. If either of those stores have it, I was not able to find it. (I also went during peak weekend hours when all the white people, like me, go to browse, which is the hardest time to find something specific.)
I know there are a few Asian grocery stores almost due east on Federal. I was hoping maybe someone had the scoop on if any of them have nattō.
I'm also aware of the Japanese grocery store downtown, but going downtown is annoying. I will go there if I don't get any better clues, but I'd rather not.
I am looking for a local professional to help me meal plan, build a workout plan, and stick to it. I’m not looking for someone to be in the gym with me, but rather help me target and meet goals. Any recs? Thanks!
Are there any free public tracks to use for running in the arvada area?
Any dentists in the area offering teeth whitening Promos? It's hard to know when and which are doing them without visiting every single website
Anyone know what is going on with the Ruby Tuesday 5525 Wadsworth? It has been closed for a while and nothing is happening with the building.
Black and Read is moving to a bigger location at 6655 Wadsworth. The old Dollar Tree is going to make space for a bigger better Black and Read. They are currently doing a 20% off sale to reduce inventory for the move! I’m so happy for them!
Hi, I have a lot of office space in Arvada at 56th and Ralston. I am an artist and I was considering renting this space out to artists for studios.
They are small offices, with locking doors, overhead fluorescent lights, 110v power, carpeted. This building has extreme fire restrictions so no open flame, candles, welding, or spark generation.
I would need very responsible artists that can be trusted to have access to a building like this.
6 x ~150sqft
2 x ~ 600sqft
Is anyone interested?
the hill behind Lutz Ballfields (59th/Kippling) look like good sledding hills. What are some other good hills to bring kids sledding the Arvada area?
Recently started having issues with our garbage disposal and we called Tyco because we had used them before.
The plumber sorted out that we had a minor issue that I could fix without assistance. Then showed me how to check for blockages with a flashlight.
Then he talked about how to maintain all the pipes in the house with enzymes. A product he recommended, but wasn’t trying to sell.
It was like having a plumbing maintenance seminar in my kitchen
Then he said me there wasn’t a charge because we were existing customers, and he was happy his last call of the day didn’t involve any actual work.
I’m impressed.
Hello!
My LO will be 1 in August (I know I’m trying to plan way in advance but I have family out of state) and I have no idea what to do. I want something budget friendly since I’m a SAHM now but my husband has ideas of going to fun place like a water park party so the family can have fun. I think a party at a park would be nice but not sure how to go about that.
Please help with any party venue recommendations or theme ideas. We live in an apt so can’t really do it at home and we have about 50 people that would go if not more.
Hi all, not sure if this is allowed and if not apologies but thought I would try here first. I have a like new Litter Robot for sale in the Arvada area. I have three adult cats that have refused to use it after several months. I have all of the packaging and accessories just not the original box (we were too optimistic.) $400 OBO - DM me if interested.
Large police presence. 80th & Altire blocked.
