I just got a 3s big rock. Love it so far. What has everyone adjusted or modified from stock.?
Hi guys, Need help as I'm new to RC. I literally purchased this car a couple hours ago, bashed for 20 minutes in light dirt and gravel lot and now one of the wheels does not spin when throttle is applied. Also It does not free spin. I got 2 questions:
Since it's new do I just take it to store?
if I have to repair it, what could it be?
Hi everyone, purchase a granite 4x4 from a buddy, got a new battery and when I turn the car over the esc just flashes red. Did some research but I can’t locate the binding button on the receiver, that might be the issue. Any ideas?
Cleaned out the diff fluid and grease the last owner put in, was pretty black. Cleaned all gears and replaced front with 50k, rear 30k and 200k will go into the center tomorrow but I have work and got tired. Thanks for the read I also forgot to slip on the 1 washer from front and rear bearing like in the driveshaft close to the diff. Is that gonna be a big problem? Probably since I’m sure they’re not there for no reason
I saw the Vorteks (3s BLX) is marked as discontinued on the horizon/arrma site. I was thinking about getting one (still available on Amazon), but now I’m wondering if I should wait if an updated version coming soon. Anyone heard anything about this?
What do you guys recommend in the price range 400-500 Euro. I was thinking the outcast or the big rock 3s. I already have a Fury full uprgraded. I love to just bash and jumps and some drifting. Thanks in advance for your advice.
A while back I had let a friend drive my 4s outcast and I didn’t see it happen but he had managed to make one of the front driveshafts pop out, I ended up tracking it down and getting a rebuild kit and putting the thing back together. Turns out that little cup at the end there where it’s circled had broken. One of the pins there had broken the slot where it sits at. I chose ignorance and ran it again and promptly lost the driveshaft a few minutes into the pack . Anyone got a recommendation for a set of driveshafts? I don’t really wanna go stock again, looking for something that can be considered an upgrade. TLDR: anyone got an upgrade for the driveshafts on a v2 4s outcast
Just got bad mamma jamma today and I love it. Shredded on rocks, light forest action, and jumping some pavement. As a new Arrma owner what should I look out for and, of course, what should be the upgrade path to 3s (if it is capable without too much extra)? Thanks in advance!
I have an Arrma Typhon 3s BLX, and i’m not sure what upgrades I should get first, I can’t afford anything like a new 6s setup, however I do need to replace my shock towers soon and was looking for some better aluminum parts. If anyone would be able to give me a link to parts like that (preferably on amazon) that would be wonderful. As well as if anybody has any cheaper upgrades that they would recommend and maybe have a link to that part that would be amazing
Hey there any recommendations for an upgraded wheelie bar? Thank you! Notorious 6s
My front Diff got shredded from hitting the front end on a backflip, ordered a plastic diff from Jenny’s and took a bit to get here. Installed it today and greased it up, 5 min into my ride land on the front again and shred the front diff again and had to pop back in the drive shaft pin.. on to metal diffs for 88 bucks from arrma on Amazon… so far my truck had broke every time I used it and not really even bashing hard…. Must be having bad luck lol, last ride was the diff, ride before that was the servo, ride before that was the wheel blowing up. Granite 3 s blx 🙄
Can’t afford one at the moment, but really really want one. The rest of the parts seem pretty obvious as to what to get but can anyone point me towards the correct chassis to start with please
Curious what people usually get for run time. When I first got my Granite I would get maybe 20-30 minutes on a fully charged Zeeee 5400Mah 80c Lipo. I’ve replaced pretty much every part on it, other than the motor and ESC. Recently, after a few particularly hard bash sessions I noticed that I get about 15 minutes out of my first pack but the second one will go into limp mode after less than. 5 minutes. No green light indicating overheating. Just red flashing LED indication LVC. I fully understand that driving style, among a lot of other things can affect this but I’m curious for a few reasons. I’m thinking I may be having ESC issues, and also want to know what kind of batteries people run to get the most time bashing.
The stock Mojave Grom is a lot of fun, but the tiny wheels and low ground clearance kept it from being used to chase the dog around the backyard. And I just wanted it to have a silly amount of power. After a few different iterations, this is where it currently stands... mods list (as best I can recall):
This little guy absolutely RIPS, and I doubt I could control it on 3S without AVC. I have the punch turned way down, at like 50%, but timing advanced for that hot, nasty, bad ass speed.
Honestly, it's WAY overkill... But that's just how I like it.
Is there a way to get rid of the velcro or fix it? It’s constantly peeling off…
