/r/arguments
Often there are arguments that go on and on and on. Without moderation, it can be difficult for somebody to let go, and find that they are wrong.
With a larger audience, it is much more clear. There may be somebody with a professional opinion, or someone who has been in the same position before.
It can be a link to an argument on reddit, on another site, in the news, or a self post of something IRL.

We write about everything under the sun. Is it okay?
I was playing Dead Island with my brother. He tried saying that zombies are still human even after they turn. I disagreed and said they were no longer human when they turn. His points were that they didn't change much physically, were basically undead humans, and that they were the same but insane. My points were that if they were human then you wouldn't need the word zombie, the fact that they change so much mentally, humans don't act that way unless you've gone mad, and the fact that you aren't the same anymore after turning. If you could offer new points, give your opinion, or say who is right it would be appreciated.
By not having swastikas and nazi Eagles(ect) in games and tv programs about the war, you are Germanising the nazis?
I just wanted other people to comment on this thing. but in my opinion it is a yes because if you look at a crab and take it's hard shell and put it on a scorpion it kind of looks like a lobster. but I'll let you decide if it is a yes or a no

If you're a group leader, I feel like it would be hard not to boss everybody around but fun at the same time. Change my mind.
My brother paid for a game dlc that I said I'd pay half for. It took me a while to pay it back and at some point we went to buy some hardware. He said that if I pay for the whole thing that my debt is gone. I paid all of it and we went home. Turns out the hardware won't work with what we have so we need to return it. My side of the argument is that since I paid in the first place then the agreement is resolved and even though we are returning the hardware it's over bc he didn't make any clause about if we need to return the hardware and I get the money back. His side is that since I'm getting the money back then the initial agreement is null and void and I still owe him the money. What do you guys think?
Hi,
I like to improve my arguments skill and until now I couldn't find anyone who I can practice.
Can you please help me to find a related subreddit for having arguments with someone without fighting, or saying f words or personal attacks?
Thanks
My 2 friends are debating about which car is better. What do ya'll think is better? 1971 corvette stingray or the 1998. Pls end this argument
If you have pineapple on pizza plz die
me and 2 other friends got in to an argument that if u can go back in time and change the futchur. nothing would happen because u wouldn't have gone back in time in the first place so again nothing happened. one agrees with me the other is stubborn as hell probably because we r high schoolers so we r all stubborn but still
personally i used to think that you shouldn’t say it if you aren’t black . but i’ve heard pretty good arguments stating otherwise (these arguments do NOT include ‘it’s just a word’ or ‘you weren’t a slave yourself’ OR ‘we made that word’) idk where i stand on the topic now but i’m curious
I live in a college dorm and the floor I live on is pet-friendly, many people have emotional-support cats and dogs on this floor. I was coming out of my room and a room nearby had their door open and their cat on a harness attached to the doorknob (so he was roaming the hall on a long leash). I pet him and someone in the room came out and yelled at me in the hallway, saying (paraphrasing here), "Stop touching my cat! At least ask before you touch someone else's pet!" I think she was unnecessarily loud about it but does she have a point? Should I have asked to touch the cat? Or since no one was around and the cat was in the hall was it okay to pet him?
Plz answer with your honest opinion.... Me personally no they aren't.. Colors are made up lights of specific wavelengths and white has all different wavelengths.... Black on the other hand is just an absence of light..
None of this is gonna happen BUT
I've seen memes of drafting both women and men, and the responses of women are them saying no no no I won't go I'll stay home and cook and clean. But the same women will turn around and praise feminism and want equality. So you either want 100% equality or not at all. I want y'alls response on those kind of women, now I understand not ALL women are like this but this is ALL I'm seeing.
Ever been in a situation with someone where many times of small altercations, gone silently suffered, have blown up into a large argument once you hit your limit? Then, has that person demanded that you list every past altercation you've ever had? (Eg."Name one other time I've done that". "Tell me when have I ever done thay before?" "When has this ever happened before?")
Specific scenario, I know.
This person I'm having an argument with does this EVERY time.
I feel like I'm being gaslighted, as in the end, asking that question is a manipulative game. It seems like the purpose of that question is to make you look crazy. No matter what you answer, there's no right answer because they're trying their hardest to prove you wrong. They want you to spew the details so they can say, "see? this isnt right, you're clearly wrong, next!"
I can see it now; "Okay so when did this happen? Name one time".
How do I navigate this? How would I explain myself? Is there some mastery-level comeback you've come up with to this?
