New employee- need some advice!

Hello, I just got hired at Applebees a few weeks ago as a server and this upcoming Friday will be my last day of training and I have to be honest, I am feeling a bit uneasy about some of the ethics/morals of my management team, as well as what is being asked of me. I applied and interviewed for full time bartender, was hired as part time server, which I did happily accept as my availability was open. I have now been hired at a second job and would like to work weekends over there, but my manager has just informed me that she requires me to have full weekend availability, full stop- as in no exceptions. Yesterday, during my fourth day of training, the general store manager pulled me aside and instructed me to assign all tens to the training survey because that helps the store. I felt really pressured and really uncomfortable by it, because my training experience wasn’t all 10’s and in general, I’m not feeling like a valued employee or like I was trained well. I only worked with the neighborhood expert one of my four training days so far, the other days I’ve been following around a poor waitress who does not like me following her around, I’m just not sure what to do. Does anybody have any advice?

Pick6 Code Not Working?

When I am placing my order, I apply the pick6 code and it reduces the price. When I hit pay, it says that the coupon is not valid for this order. I tried doing carside and pick up inside. I am ordering more than $10. I tried adding another item as well, and the code still did not work.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Did the server tip himself?

So I placed an online order for pick up the subtotal came out to 10.80. I pick up the food no problem. Later that night i get a charge from applebees for 3 dollars and i check my card app and the total now is 13.80 now im wondering if the server just added a tip without me authorizing it? I didn't know it was possible for them to do that on pickup orders.

Woody and free hamburger campaign.

Looks like it has been erased from history but i remember they had a promo with woody a 20 something slacker promoting free hamburgers around 2006. Does anyone have any info or links to commercials.

I had a cutout of woody i taped to my dash for 15 years but got rid of it because it was faded to white.

Cheese bites.

Hello i have been an avid fan of applebees for years i go there three times a month with my wife and i ONLY go there for their cheese bites . Imagine my surprise when they inform me that they took them OFF the menu indefinitely to replace them with LOADED FRIES…!!?? I understand they are a niche but is that not the whole point, to have a little bit for everyone. I dont give two fucks i would sit there and eat the whole thing myself the little bites with the amazing sauce was perfect. I dont even want to go to applebees anymore. Does anyone else feel this way?

Veterans don't tip?

2 servers today made $50 on tip for the whole day at my Applebee's even t though the whole store was packed all day ! The meal is free but please still treat your servers right! Didn't help that my store didn't check IDs and just let anyone who said they're a veteran get a meal.

Veterans Day

I've only been a few times but I went today for the veterans day special. I got a great bacon cheeseburger and some of the best fries I've had in a long time. Thank you Applebee's.

How does vacation pay work?

In my state tipped staff have a minimum wage of $1.57 an hour or something stupid like that. One of the bartenders at my favorite Applebees went on vacation last month. Did she get any decent vacay pay?

How do you guys make your in-house ranch dressing?

I'm obsessed with ranch specifically Applebee's ranch. How is it made? I saw a thread that said it's one part mayonnaise, one part sour cream/buttermilk, and ranch seasoning. What are the exact measurements or the exact recipe??

Rehire?

So I worked at Applebees a little over 2.5 years ago and had to quit without notice due to some family stuff I had going on. I’m looking for a part time gig on my off days and I really enjoyed serving there; I have an interview in a few weeks, would I be eligible to work there again at a different location?

Tipsy Reindeer

Am I crazy or was this made with strawberry syrup last year? It’s calling for grenadine this year and I could just swear it’s a different texture and flavor.

I was wondering when the next promotion is and what it will be for. Is there a specific yearly schedule or do they change it up every year?

Touch tunes Dragula

I went out to dinner with my friend at Applebee’s and I experienced this odd phenomenon with the touch tunes. We saw somebody go up and play the Rob Zombie song Dragula multiple times in a row. What’s with People going up and playing Dragula over and over at Applebee’s. Does anyone have an explanation?

Some KY locations without liquor license?

When I went to Applebees tonight,it looked like it was closed with 4 cars in the parking lot. I asked why they were dead. They told me they lost their liquor license 4 months ago.

Now is this NOT making the news?

Carside Tips

Just wondering, do the tips you make on carside/togo get taken out of your paycheck? I work like 40 hours a week at my Applebees and sometimes I feel like my paycheck is less than I think it should be, but I might be wrong. Just asking to see if anyone knew. Thanks!

Daily time slip (tips)

So I noticed when I clocked out last night, I made around $55 in CC tips, now however when my tips got deposited I only received $35, is this normal? Or should I ask/bring this to my manager’s attention? I don’t wanna be skimped out of my CC tips 😭😭💀
