Done up on my lil Traeger with Whiskey Barrel pellets and Meat Church Rubs.
I’m pretty sure they came in a black and red box of assorted apps. Your typical pigs in blankets, turnovers, etc. The specific one I’m looking for was like a pastry puff. When you took it out of the box and put it on the cookie sheet it was flat and square (maybe 3/4”x3/4”) and when it was cooked it would raise about an inch or so. I’m pretty sure it was seasoned with garlic and when it was cooked, it was really light and airy with a little char on top. I’ve searched and haven’t been able to find anything that resembles it. Hopefully someone here remembers what I’m talking about and can steer me in the right direction of finding them. Just feeling nostalgic after cooking up a box of Cohens Apps the other day.
The key to this recipe is to let the chicken marinate long enough. 4 hours is the minimum, but for maximum flavor, marinate them overnight. Trust me – they’re worth the wait!
There's so many recipes out there- but looking for a tried and true spinach & artichoke dip or app to make for family dinner. Main course is Italian wedding soup and bread. Hopefully something not too mayo or sour cream like.
A little bit of something for everyone
