Set exclusions

Anyone know of an app like Apollo that I can set exclusions?

I used to filter out politics by excluding the names of the people I find annoying. Is there an app besides sideloaded apollo that does that?

OpenRed

As an early user of Apollo I’ve missed it dearly since it went away. When it got shut down my Reddit usage came to a near stop until OpenRed came along in this sub. It’s been a nice replacement even if it’s not nearly as robust. I know it’s more of a UI enhancer than a true app but I’ve become quite fond of it.

Anyway I logged out the other day to change to a different account. Now I cannot get logged back in on either account. Any other users having issues with it?

Anxety

I had surgery last July. Bilateral hallus valgus. Stopped sleeping post op and completely spiralled.id never again walk, I'd never again work, I'd lose my feet ec etc,. I was trembling with anxiety. . Commenced lexapro, it had some effect but left me with a air hunger. My gp commenced me on mirtazapine at that point, no effect what so ever. I eventually made contact with a gp that specialises in mental health. She commenced me on sertraline 25mgs for 5 days, upped to 50mgs x3 weeks. At this point I contacted a psychiatrist on line. She upped tthertraline to 100mgs and molipaxin for sleep. The molipaxin didn't work . I am now n titrating reducing doses of valium with 150of sertraline. Does it take the valium a while to give you complete relief. I am now on day 3 of 5mgs tid. I feel like my chest is tight and my nose is blocked . My mood is also very low. Any one with this experience with sertraline

How do I add a sub to favorites?

I have a few subs as favorites but I did that in Apollo. Now that I’m stuck with the official Reddit app i can’t seem to figure it how to add or remove a sub to/from favorites.

I've really missed the screenshot feature from Apollo, so I did my best to replicate it as a free service on my website

Reddit Mobile Complaint - Can't Seem to Block Certain Types of Notifications

Maybe this isn't the place to do it but the Reddit Mobile sub is locked and I miss my damn Apollo.

I'm not getting notifications again saying "Your comment as 10 upvotes!" like I gaf. You used to be able to select those and click "Don't show me this type of notification" but I don't see that anymore. Anyone know a workaround? Besides ditching the mobile app?

I’m sure this gets posted all the time— but now more than ever do I miss Apollos feature to blacklist keywords

I enjoy using reddit for most of my news snippets and art inspiration, but with the recent election it’s just been hell. It makes me want to stop using the app with how frequently I see Elon and Trump. I desperately miss apollos blacklist feature. It made browsing reddit so much nicer.

Apollo with a monthly subscription?

Why can't Apollo be revived with a monthly usage fee to cover the API costs?

IPA for iPad anywhere?

I'm still happily using Apollo on my phone, but would love to get it onto my ipad too.

Sideloadly errors that it's not a compatible device, but i'm sure I used to have it on my iPad back before it went down, I think it was just a resized phone version, while Christian was working on an iPad specific version.

Has anyone gotten an ipa to work on an iPad?

I almost forgot how great this app is

Before the shutdown, I’d never even used the Reddit app. I remember being very annoyed but I eventually got over it. I got a new iPhone 16 pro max and decided to finally sideload Apollo. I wanted to before but I had an iPhone 8 that was very slow and limited on storage. Now that I’m back I have more appreciation for the app than I ever did before. There are 3 specific things that stand out to me the most.

  1. No ads, or more specifically, no ads that are disguised as Reddit posts. Nothing sucks more than thinking the video you’re watching is relevant to the subreddit you’re on until you see the product placement.

  2. No algorithm or recommended posts mixed into my home page. I shouldn’t be forced to see subreddits that I’m not subscribed to just because one singular post from that subreddit on the front page interested me enough to click the comments.

  3. Notifications are actually notifications!! Not just random bullshit. No more crossing my fingers that it’s a reply or a comment on my post instead of Reddit just sending me some random irrelevant shit because it’s bored. Facebook is guilty of that shit too. Getting 10 notifications with not a single one of them actually being meant for you is blood boiling.

The list goes on, but obviously if you are here you already know. I just wanted to show appreciation because I did not realize how good I had it until I had no choice but to use the official app for over a year straight.

I want to "scroll" to specific dates in a sub, does this app allow that? Is it available for desktop

If not, can you recommend an app that does?

Can't login to app anymore with this account

Hi all,

For some reason I can no longer log into my apollo app with this account specifically. I get an error saying "try disabling extensions or use a different browser".

However, I am able to log into the app with no issues using alt accounts.

Anyone have any potential solutions?

How to fix Imgur uploads failing?

Anyone have a working method for Imgur uploads?

I’ve tried ApolloPatcher, ApolloCustomApiCredentials, Apollo-ImprovedCustomApi, ApolloAPI, and none of them work for Imgur uploads. Some are able to upload one image, but never two.

  • iOS 17.7
  • iPhone XS

Sideloadly and Apollo Help. Apollo sometimes just loads infinitely and sometimes works as normal.

Basically the title. I have used Sideloadly to install Apollo on my phone and browse Reddit but now all of a sudden sometimes Apollo just shows nothing. The app will open and sometimes nothing will load and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t know what’s the issue but if anyone has experienced this and solved it please share how you did so, or the IPA you used.

Currently I have a pro plan, which allows me to reveal only 100 leads at a time.

Doing a homework for a UX class, can you share screenshots of the app and features that you miss from Apollo.

As the title says I’m doing a UX homework and I want to do it on apollo, share any information you have on features it use to have, things you use to love, screenshots, anything related to the UI or UX. Thanks!

Petition to bring back old cute user avatars

I had to rename one of the user profiles and lost the cute cartoon avatar. Is there a way we can upload our own pic? The options provided are not cute
