Issues with new iPad Mini (a17) and 18.1

I updated my iPad this afternoon to 18.1 and now side loaded Apollo doesn’t work. I’ve tried to update it, delete it, etc etc and nothing seems to work. Put in my Reddit api key but when I try to log in the button doesn’t work. Works fine on my m1 air on beta 18.1 so just seeing if anyone else has the same issue or other things for me to try. I’m using sideloadley and 1.15.11

Thanks

If someone doesn’t want to do the whole sideload work, this seems like a good option

Reddit should fire all their UX and dev ppl, and hire Christian. I’m so tired of all the bugs and senseless design issues with the Reddit app!

Gifs with sounds

When did Apollo stop being able to play sounds for gifs? Is there a fix for this?

Is There Any IOS App That Is Similar To The Relay App?

I have been searching the app store for something that I can use on my IPad Pro 12.9. But I can't find anything that is similar to Apollo or Relay at all. What App is everyone else using for their IPhone and IPad? I really miss The Apollo App. Now I'm only using The Official Reddit App for my IPad Pro 12.9.

What is the best/easiest/safest way to sideload Apollo in 2024?

Now that everyone has been using sideloaded Apollo for a while, what is the best option?

I'm hoping to find a way that isn't too hard to setup, as I imagine it will break occasionally and I will have to fix it. And are there any major security concerns with sideloading, is there a way that is more secure than the others?

I pay for a developer account for my own LLC, is there any way to sideload without Altserver so I don't have to refresh?

Not afraid to get my hands dirty, xcode is my most used app. I think the reason altserver isn't picking up my developer account is because it isn't a "personal one", its registered to my business.

Whats the current best method to sideload Apollo onto an Iphone 16 pro running iOS 18?

I was using scarlet prior to upgrading my phone but now it doesn't seem to work. I don't miss most of the other apps, but Apollo is kind of crucial. Anybody able to give me a hand?

I’m lucky enough to have access to actively developed Winston app but after a month I’m back to sideloaded Apollo

I really wanted to like Winston for a lot of reasons, it’s still being developed, I have beta access so I don’t have to worry about revokes with Signulous, which have been getting pretty constent. But I just can’t do it. Apollo is just so much more responsive and video playback is so much more information rich. Plus the padding is much better for me on Apollo

That’s all I just wanted to vent in the disappointment of modern Reddit clients.

Blackburns Apollo requesting keychain access?

https://i.imgur.com/Mus4Kv5.jpeg

I’m fairly new to sideloading, so I’m not sure if I’m not understanding how permissions work, but does this mean the installed app will have just full read/write access to keychain?

ApolloPatcher and Restoring Purchases

Hey yo, I reinstalled Apollo on my phone the moment I saw ApolloPatcher was a thing. Setup the keys just fine but there's an issue, I can't restore my purchases. I bought Pro a while ago and I would to use those features again.

This isn't a sideloaded app, it's the original app with the ApolloPatcher tweak. Am I screwed out of being able to make standard posts from Apollo because I Offloaded the app after the shutdown last year? Because the error I'm getting is an SSL error. Also, I would love to be able to use my alternate account for art.

Should I be asking this in /r/apollosideloaded? I don't know, I haven't used reddit in over a year, cut me some slack.

and for those who can really help:

-Apollo 1.14.26 (I think the last version to support iOS 14)

-iOS 14.4.2 with checkra1n beta 0.12.4 (A8X/A9X) via Odysseyn1x 2.16

Thank you.

Does anyone have a working “all media downloader” shortcut for iOS 18 / Apollo?

All Media Downloader doesn’t work; Chrunos works on other apps ** but not** Apollo?

Is the hide bars on scroll broken for anyone else on iPhone 16 pro max? Working fine for me on my old 12 pro max

Only the bottom bar actually now that I’m testing it some more. Seems to disappear and then stay hidden

Comments & voting is broken for everyone, not an apollo thing. old.reddit is broken entirely. So if your apollo isn't working, don't worry! It's not related to sideloading, just reddit being reddit.

I would make this a reply to the existing post, but as I said, I can't comment. lol.

Edit: And we're back!

Seeking volunteers to test new Reddit deletion tool (compensated)?

Hi all! I'm looking for volunteers to try out a new browser extension feature that will automatically delete all of your posts and comments on Reddit.

Our team is building a browser extension that helps users manage their content & presence online [link], and this is a newer feature we're working on. I noticed this subreddit has historically had an interest in content deletion, and thought there may be some folks interested in being advance users & helping us iron out bugs before it's released.

More specifically, we're looking for users with at least 15 posts and 50 comments on Reddit to participate in a 30-minute Zoom interview to use the new feature to delete their content. As thanks for your time and feedback, we’ll send you a $15 Amazon gift card after our chat.

If you’re interested, you can fill out a response to this Calendly form [link].

Thanks!

[EDIT 2024-09-20: Thank you for your interest! - we were able to get enough testing volunteers]

Side loaded Apollo instant crashing?

I’ve had Apollo side loaded via Signulous for quite a while, but once before and once now again, when I try to open the app it instant crashes. I was using it earlier today just fine.

Does anyone else have this issue or know why it happens/how to fix it?

Anyone successfully sideloaded Apollo after installing iOS 18 and

So I was on iOS 18 betas and was able to install the updated patched Apollo app.

I updated to iOS 18 public release and had to reset my phone to start anew. I restored my iCloud backup and everything was restored even Apollo but it doesn't work. It says I had to reinstall it since it wasn't downloaded from the App Store. Fine! I plugged my phone to my computer, run Sideloadly and got an error. In short, I wasn't able to reinstall Apollo.

Anyone on the same boat?

Can't login into app, no button to confirm on sign in

So I'm done with the reddit app. It sucks. I tried it but I can't use this dumpster fire anymore, so I have sideloaded apollo.

I am having this real annoying issue however... I sideloaded correctly, got the API keys, but when I sign in and reddit asks to confirm that the app wants to connect to my account, there is no button to confirm? It just shows the things the app will be able to access and thats it? Anyone knows what I gotta do? Thanks

iOS 18

Well, Apollo works with iOS 18 so that’s good I guess, but one of the best things about iOS updates used to be that Christian would release a major update to Apollo along with them.

Thanks to greedy stupid Wall Street dickheads we’ll never get that again.

Anyone got apollo sideloaded to a mac and working?

I've seen a few posts here on reddit saying that its possible. However when I sideload the same ipa that I got on iOS, onto a mac. The app just crashes on launch. Anyone got the right ipa that works with a mac? I've sideloaded using sideloadly.

Appreciate the help!

Open in Apollo user script with side loaded

I used to have a small userscript set up which would redirect safari reddit links to open in apollo. It would prompt me, but better than the existing open in apollo (which doesn’t automatically navigate or prompt)

It seems to have broken in iOS 18 or something else. Does anyone else have it working right now? Manually navigating to a website like apollo://a/b does still open apollo.
