I’m starting to see some of the annual posts about “my opponents are stealing my signs” on various social media platforms, etc.

I want to clarify: in the Town of Apex, you can not place signs on either town property, adjacent to town property, or on any town road (this includes the Peakway). This also matches Cary rules, as I understand it.

Town staff (our code enforcement officers) have been enforcing this year. There is a large pile of signs at town hall. If a sign of yours or your candidate “goes missing”, consider the possibility that town staff was enforcing the law rather than your opponent was sneaking around in the middle of the night stealing your signs.

Oh - also - this doesn’t apply to NCDOT roads (55, 64, Ten Ten, Kelly, Olive Chapel, etc). Sign placement on NCDOT roads are governed by NCDOT, the town doesn’t touch them.

We ate there tonight to celebrate a special birthday with family. I had not been in several years. It was amazing. What a treasure we have in downtown Apex. Smoked fish dip, Chinese 5-spice wings, chicken cutlets with spaetzle, hanger steak, salmon. Our table ate every damn crumb. The spinach dip was amazing too. We will be going there for any special occasion going forward.

If anyone in the area is interested in Buddhism, I run a Buddhist Sangha that has previously been online but we've just secured a location to start holding regular in-person meetings! They will be held at the same location we recently held our "Buddhist Coffee Hour" - the Mocha Room (2145 Ten-Ten Rd). Our first meeting will be Mon 10/21 @ 7PM and then they will be every other Monday at the same time. Anyone is always welcome, regardless of your previous experience (or lack of experience) with Buddhism. Our meetings will vary a bit from meeting to meeting but generally include readings, meditation, Dharma Talks, and group discussion. Hi, I'm relocating to the Apex area over the summer. I'm at a gym where my 5 year old and I train bjj and they also have some group fitness classes (cross training, kickboxing, yoga). Any good bjj places that have something similar? My wife does the classes, so it would be great if it's all in the same location.

If not, any recs for kickboxing/cross training group places?

I’ve been waiting for this for over 15 years when it was announced. We just have to grin and bear the construction hassles for 3 years. Then the Peakway will be closer to a complete circle … but not quite (sort of like Cary Parkway)

Hey folks. Looking for lawn care recommendations.

I've got a giant yard. I keep it mowed, but I need someone to handle things like edging/cleanup, treatments (fertilizer, weed control, etc), one-off mulching/pine-straw, etc.

I haven't had much luck with the larger "one size fits all" companies, so I'd much prefer someone who handles lawns on a more "case by case" basis (if such a thing exists), like a small passionate company, or a professional who actually cares.

Anyone know of a company like this in the area?

What’s if like living near Lake Wheeler / Apex side of 401 near Kraft Family YMCA

Looking for some advice. I currently live in central Apex, 8 mins from downtown Apex. Considering moving to the far side of Apex near Lake Wheeler / Apex side of 401. It seems more undeveloped in that area.

Looking for thoughts on: politics, diversity (I’m Asian), schools for kids, safety, traffic, grocery stores, things to do etc.

The zoning is for schools Yates Mill Elementary / Dillard Drive Middle School/ Middle Creek High School. Currently school zoning is Scotts Ridge Elementary / Friendship Middle / Friendship High

Is the far side of Apex near Lake Wheeler going to be more developed in 5 years or am I setting myself up for a bad time being further away from central Apex?

I saw on news everywhere last year that Veridea mix use community is finally starting up the construction after $91M land deal. Is there any progress happening or was that just a news?
