New to the valley, and interested in hiking but am concerned about running into dangerous/poisonous/venomous wildlife like snakes, spiders, and plants. What are your thoughts?
Hey y'all, I was at Kaiser at some point in the last week and found something outside.
If you or someone you know thinks it might belong to you, send me a DM with the item and the day and I'd be happy to return it.
Otherwise, I'll check and see if anyone at Kaiser knows who it belongs to.
Thanks

There was a local band in the QH area. Was like Ska or similar. The only thing I remember is the word "Bazaar" idr if its part of the band name or one of their songs. I know they arent together anymore. I'd love to get my hands on their CD/Songs if anyone knows who Im talking about.
As the question suggests, I am enquiring about the best place in the AV to receive lessons/instruction for Piano and voice. I have tried to research myself and found multiple places with good reviews so I am hoping for some advice from people who either, have first-hand accounts and experiences, or have some information relevant to my question. I think it is worth mentioning that I am in my early 20's so programs/schools geared solely towards children would not be suited for me. Thank you in advance to everyone who responds to this post.
Edit: This is making me want to get a rooftop tent and pitch camp in Tehachapi during the week then Lancaster in the weekends XD has anyone ever done this? also, my alternate account is u/OceangateMeatballSub for replies from my phone
(23m, engineer, damn lucky) I'd be commuting to Mojave A&S Port, and am currently looking at the Tehachapi/Bear/Stallion area as well as Lancaster/Palmdale. My roadblock is that I'm moving across the country, so having friends and the ability to go out, do sports, date, and network is also really important. I'm interested in Lc/Pd for it's sports facilities (track and field) and population, but Tchp/Bs/Ss for it's beauty, lower rent, and lower commute time. I'm interested in what Tchp has to offer, but am worried about being isolated and unable to meet new people in their mid-20s. Alright, Reddit, do your thing!

Has anyone heard about this? Apparently there was a rally a couple of Saturdays ago out in Boron and there is a petition linked in the article people can sign.
THE CONTROVERSY: 1. Per the article: Gavin Newsom's Fish & Game Commission worked with Avantus Solar behind closed doors where they voted to give special permission to destroy Joshua trees in order to build a solar site (they are a protected species and are native to the Mojave Desert), 2. The power generated will not benefit residents in Boron, or even the AV, but will go to wealthy CA residents in the Silicon Valley area, 3. The site was not fully surveyed before the project was approved and biologists found 44 animal species living at the site AND evidence of Valley Fever which could negatively affect the health of people who live in Boron.
I am really tired of the Antelope Valley being treated like a wasteland and its people being treated like second-class citizens. This is my home.
Looking to get some work done, my artist is in San Pedro and it’s quite a drive. Would like to find someone here in Lancaster that I can trust and get some more tattoos.

We will be visiting Lancaster area for a few days and our return flight from LAX is on a Tuesday morning and need to get there by 6am. Assume we would want to leave 4am so have time to return rental car. Obviously will be dark when we are driving south but wasn’t sure how the roads are through what appears to be mountains. Question is would you recommend staying closer towards LAX the night before vice driving from Lancaster?
Thanks!
