Looking for any suggestions on what anime to watch next? Have a recommendation or review you would like to suggest yourself? This is the place for you!
Be descriptive in requests - The more you say on what you like, dislike, have seen or not seen, the more likely you will get helpful responses.
Be friendly! - Don't disparage other users or pick on them for what they like or not. Be nice out there.
No 18+ porn/hentai - Anything up to and including R-17 rated is okay, but no outright porn.
Anime is the focus, but other media is okay - The purpose of this sub is to recommend anime series and movies, but if you want to recommend a manga, light novel, even a live-action film with an anime connection, that's fine, too! Even "anime-inspired" shows from Western media, if it fits the request. (No purist gatekeeping here!)
No troll responses or non-anime-related content - This sub is about anime recommendations and reviews. Not about what you have for sale, or non-suggestion-related anime discussions. There are other places for that.
Links to video trailers, short previews, snippets, non-spoiler reviews are fine - As long as it is short and could be considered "copyright fair use". Linking to a full-length episode of a series, or full movie is NOT COOL, and often illegal.
Mention sites that show officially licensed shows only - Such as Hulu, Crunchyroll, Netflix, Funimation, Hidive, Retrocrush. Not websites that show pirated/torrented content. You can suggest any shows you want (licensed or not), but when it comes to where to find them online, stick to the LEGAL channels.
Mod's decisions are final - For any subreddit rules, site-wide rules, or anything not spelled out in the rules at all, the moderator gets the final word. Period.
HAVE FUN!

So I’ve been watching anime now since December of 2023 and I’ve already watched Naruto, samurai champloo, erased, death note, and I just finished AOT yesterday what should I watch next I’ve been hearing black clover and my hero I don’t really want a super long one like one piece right now so I just wanna hear some suggestions on what yall think I should give a try
I would like to watch anime that has large autonomous robots as part of the story.
Let it be clear that I do not like mecha anime. I will give some examples of stories that have autonomous robots at some point:
may contain spoilers
Girls Last Tour - at a certain point they meet robot architects who are in charge of building and remodeling cities, as far as I remember.
Kaina of the great Snow - The same type of robot architect (same in name, but different in functions) appears in the anime
Nausicaa of the valley and Castle in the sky - I also put the God Warriors from the movie Nausicaa in the same category.
Lastly, I also find fascinating the autonomous food factory that appears in the movie Blame!
Hello :) I started watching anime recently and I am searching for any good shows. So far I’ve liked Frieren (10/10), Spice and Wolf (10/10), Dungeon Meshi (7,5/10), Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride (7/10), Castlevania (8/10). I saw and tried few more animes, but only those listed above caught my attention. I absolutely loved Frieren and Spice and Wolf. Frieren for its depth and well, everything and Spice and Wolf for the romance between main characters. Dungeon Meshi was great mainly for its fun settings and Archdemon’s Dilemma for the romance between the characters. Can you please recommend me something based on these preferences? What I try to avoid is g*re and too much graphic violence. Thank you :)
I’m in need of some anime recommendations after I finished Hokkaido Gals are Super Adorable and idk what to watch now. I enjoy Slice of Life,Romance, Shojo, Seinen, Adventure and some Fantasy. More specifically I enjoy Blue Period, Arte, Moriarty and the Patriot are my top 3s. I watch mostly on Crunchyroll but I also have Hulu, Prime, Netflix,HBO. I also enjoy vampire related anime’s. Open to anything you guys have ❤️
From the very first moment Mayo Chiki entered our lives, it touched our hearts with its unique story, lovable characters, and life lessons. More than just a comedy, Mayo Chiki taught us the value of loyalty, the importance of friendship, and above all, the beauty of love in all its forms.
Today, after all this time, we still wait with hope for a second season. We understand that it’s not easy, that creating a series takes time, effort, and a lot of dedication. But what unites us as fans the most is the unwavering love we have for this story.
No matter how many years have passed, Mayo Chiki remains a beacon of hope, a place where we find comfort, inspiration, and the feeling that the best is yet to come. The characters we love so much still have so much to offer, and the magic of the series hasn’t faded. We are here, waiting patiently with hearts full of hope.
To everyone who is part of this incredible Mayo Chiki community, let’s stay united. Let’s keep dreaming and showing our support because, if there’s one thing we’ve learned from this series, it’s that the strength of a united heart can overcome any obstacle.
So why not keep fighting for what we love? If each of us adds our voice, our energy, and our love, we can make our voices heard and bring Mayo Chiki back for a second season. We won’t give up!
With love, hope, and gratitude,
[Andres Icaza]

So. Season 1 was absolute peak, so the first part of season 2 was a bit uncreative and rushed. MANY people have said the anime gets shittier as I progress. And I can see that quite clearly. I’m so confused. I have a tendency to fully watch every anime I touch. Should I push through? I mean it’s already gotten worse, I need to know how bad it can get. Currently, the community’s still striving. That might be a reason to keep watching. It’s still worth watching so far, but I have heard the rumors and I’ve seen some truth. I’ve even almost recommended it. I don’t want anyone to get into the same situation as me. Please, tell me what to do, and if it’s not worth it, please give me another good generic isekai anime.
Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about the types of anime content available on YouTube and wanted to ask: What kind of videos do you feel are missing or would like to see more of?
Whether it's deep-dive analyses, reviews, community debates, lesser-known series recommendations, or something completely unique, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are there specific trends you like or feel are overdone? Maybe a niche topic you wish got more attention?
Looking forward to hearing your ideas!
I love romance animes and open to anything :)
With the New Year around the corner, Demon Slayer fans have a lot to look forward to! The Infinity Castle Arc promises jaw-dropping animation, intense battles, and some of the most emotionally charged moments in the series. This arc will pit the Hashira against the Upper Ranks, leading to the ultimate showdown with Muzan Kibutsuji.
From new breathing techniques to the Ubuyashiki siblings finally stepping into the spotlight, this arc has all the ingredients to break the internet. And let’s not forget Ufotable’s animation wizardry—it’s bound to turn every fight scene into a masterpiece!
We recently broke down all the reasons this arc is worth the wait in our latest video. It’s packed with insights, recaps, and moments we can’t wait to see animated. Whether you’re hyped for Zenitsu’s redemption, Tanjiro and Giyuu’s battle with Akaza, or the long-awaited finale against Muzan, this is one video you won’t want to miss.
So, what are your thoughts? Will this arc live up to the hype, or is it too much to ask? Let’s discuss! And if you're curious, check out the video.
how should masachika and alya confess to each other
Hi Otakus! 👋
I’m an indie developer, and I wanted to share my latest project with you all: MeronPan - Anime Calendar, an app designed to help anime fans keep track of their favorite shows.
The idea came from my own frustration with remembering when new anime episodes air or where to watch them. I realized I needed a simple solution, and that’s how MeronPan was born!
I wanted to create something I’d use myself as an anime fan, and it’s been exciting to see how users are enjoying the app so far.
If you’d like to try it or check it out, you can find it here: MeronPan on Google Play
Any feedback or suggestions? I’m open to constructive criticism and new ideas! 😊
This holiday season, I took some time to create a video diving into some of the most iconic and heartwarming Christmas moments in anime. From heartfelt confessions under snowy skies to the festive chaos of holiday parties, it’s amazing how anime captures the magic of the season.
The video was a fun way to relive those moments and reflect on how they blend the spirit of Christmas with uniquely anime vibes. If you're into anime and still feeling festive, I’d love for you to check it out! Let’s keep the holiday cheer going a bit longer together.
Also, what’s your favorite Christmas-themed anime episode or scene? Would love to hear your picks!
There's a lot of Saguka animation for fights and brief dramatic/emotionally impactive moments, but I find I'm more and more impressed by "little animations" like chances in posture, expression, tics, body language that shows control of space, etc.
Most anime seems to rely more on a mix of "emoiji" key poses for certain punctuating moments, visual metaphors, or use of cinematography to convey nuance. (If they bother to at all, and don't just have the characters sitting static talking.)
One shows I can think of off the top of my head that do what I'm doing to an extent is a handful of Kyoani shows (Like Hyouka, Haruhi, etc.) Maybe some scenes in Spice and Wolf, I'm sure there are others but those are all I can think of off the top of my head.
Basically I'd like a series where there is at least an average of one scene per episode, where you can took a scene of characters simply talking, and break it down like this.
Visual Metaphors and good direction is fine, but it should not overshadow the use of character animation.
I haven’t found an anime I enjoy as much as cowboy bebop or studio ghibli - plz send help.
Also like elder scrolls games and wondering if there’s something like that kinda vibe.
Been Reading Lit RPGs recently which give a similar vibe to one punch man - anyone heard of some other good anime in that area?
Anime like:
Death Note
Monster
FMAB
Steins Gate
Vivy
Summertime Rendering
Odd Taxi
AOT
91 Days
Baccano
Dororo
Inuyashiki
Parasyte
Ranking Of Kings
I’m looking for a serious anime that somewhat gives the same feelings that tokyo ghoul gave me. Any suggestions
I watched most of them and haven't found any good ones
I just finished watching I parry everything and I loved it I want more things like that
IM DESPERATE
Are there any good horror animes that do not have fanservice or excessive gore? I also want something that is actually scary.
I am not sure, but I was thinking if there's an anime about a boy using a girl's dance style, which only exists in one of the anime that I have watched, I don't really know which anime it is from, like just one episode of their dance practice and a boy demo to show a girl how to dance. I laugh so hard and find it entertaining, and I was kind of wondering if there is such anime where the main male character dances the whole anime series. That would be crazy if that existed
Something to watch between episodes to scratch that itch. I've been strongly tempted to just rewatch earlier episodes.
So this scene is kinda lewd but it was a girl sleeping on top of a boy on opposite sides of the bed. Yes literally sleeping on top of the guy at the front of the bed, while the guy was sleeping on the back of the bed. The guy wakes up and immediately noticed it.
I'm kinda looking for a slice-of-life drama where the depression isn't played as a gag also where the mc isn't some self righteous prick. It would also be cool if the FEMALE mc's depression got worse throughout the series.
(Also preferably not action)
Idk if there's anything out there that matches the description cause i can't find anything.
The main character literally gets torn apart and eaten and survives. Pretty sure it's this season. The guy just doesn't fear death or pain because his mother used him as a liability scam his whole life (pushing him in front of cars when the physical abuse became noticeable kind of thing) and the god that gave him his power of not dying as long as he doesn't fear death didn't realize that he wanted to die so now he can't.
In Elfen Lied I really really liked how Lucy ended up never killing the cousin who was in love with Kouta. You spend the whole time waiting for the moment Nyu/Lucy snaps and kills her but it never happens, then you find out what happened with Kanae and you're like "ohhhhh". Another example is Nana, where like everyone decision Hachi makes you're like "why did she do that" but then it also makes SO MUCH sense to her character.
I really want some more anime like this. An example of hthis I didn't like is in Monster when the doctor saves Johan again....I honestly saw that coming from a million miles away and it literally made me dislike the whole series because I was really waiting for a plot twist that never came.
I just finished watching My Hero Academia and Fairy Tail.
I have already enjoyed and completed: Jujutsu Kaisen, Seven Deadly Sins, Pokemon Indigo League, Soul Eater, One-Punch Man and Naruto (Original).
I loved the pacing and storytelling from JJK and Soul Eater. But I preferred the character development in MHA and Fairy Tail the most. I am looking for something either grittier than all the above, includes undead/zombies or swordsmen/swordswomen?
I like cute anime, not violent ones. I like cute characters and I have seen Pokémon and all that, I am a huge fan of Unico the franchise itself.
Are there Anime exactly LIKE Unico with NO FIGHTING NO WARS AND NO FAN SERVICE! I also don't like Shounen Jump stuff. NO SHOUNEN
I watched these 2 animes and now I dont know the names anymore.
The first one: A group of children are raised in orphanage-like, surrounded by walls, all of them wear white clothes. There are adults that take care of them and some robots. I know It is not The Promised Neverland.
Some of the children often messes with the techno parts of the place. Some girl have a vision of a colleague flying in the roof of the place.
SPOILERS: At the end of the anime there's this girl that fight with an old lady that appear to the head of a experiment they are part from. Later they get to escape and end up exploding the wall and walkingt through a fence in a forest.
The second one: I only saw the first ep of this.
A guy is investigating some supernatural activities but there's this kid that wears a skeleton mask or smth that force him to take her on the the investigation. This case is about a woman that was murdered in a phone box on the street.
Im still fairly new to the scene but am interested to see what yall enjoy. Id also enjoy any action recommendations you have
