I'm on android 15 stable should I get the qpr1 beta 3 im worried about messing up my pixel. It's my primary device
With the release of our final Android 15 QPR1 Beta 3 last week, we are looking forward to our next Beta program cycle that covers our Android 15 March Quarterly Platform Release (QPR2)**. THANK YOU for contributing your thoughts and experiences to help shape the Android QPR1 release over the past months.
Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1 will kick off soon. It builds on top of the Android 15 QPR1 platform release and includes the latest bug fixes and improvements to stability and performance. If you take no action and remain enrolled in the Beta Program, you will automatically receive Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1*.*
To receive the final stable public Android 15 QPR1 release, devices currently enrolled in Beta will need to first opt out of the program. Devices that remain enrolled in the Beta Program will automatically continue receiving the next Beta updates.
If you prefer to exit the Beta Program and receive the final public Android 15 QPR1 update in December, without the need to wipe your data*, please do the following:*
If you want to immediately return to the latest public version (Android 15), you can install the downgrade OTA update which will wipe the data on your device per usual program guidelines.
If you install the QPR2 Beta 1 update, the next opportunity to exit the Beta Program without a data wipe will be towards the end of the Android 15 QPR2 Beta cycle in Q1 2025.
We will continue to post updates and information on the upcoming Android 15 QPR2 Beta here in this community.
Happy Beta testing!
I am currently using Google Pixel 7A. There is no vibration when the notification comes when watching the video. Does anyone have problems like me or know the solution? (In phone vibration mode, DND is not on.)
I'm reaching out to this wonderful community for assistance. I'm experiencing an issue where my microphone isn’t picking up sound in any apps, including voice dictation in Gboard, Gemini, and the Google Recorder app. However, it’s functioning properly during cellular calls.
I've attempted a few troubleshooting steps, including restarting my phone, clearing the app storage completely, and verifying that the apps have the necessary microphone permissions. Unfortunately, none of these efforts have resolved the issue.
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Is the swipe left news feed updated via the news app? There is a dark mode bug where it will not show in dark mode sometimes. I don't know if this is something I should report.
Thanks
As title said I've just checked on settings and my P8P has downloaded and installed the October release of Google play service update
Pressing the player on the dropdown menu/notification dropdown doesn't direct to the app (Youtube and Youtube music,). It's usually my shortcut to opening youtube music but I noticed it's this update it doesn't work. I also checked youtube it also doesn't work. Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

This is what I'm running.
When I go to update my phone, I still get the data wipe message.

Any ideas?
In the Find my Device app, is anyone else have their phone listed within the app twice?? I don't recall it being listed twice in Android 14?
Will there be a qpr beta 4 or do I opt out now so I can catch qpr stable?
I'm on QPR1 beta 3 on my Pixel 8 and started to notice that apps don't stay on memory anymore. They reload even if I just mininized them. (I don't have the "Don't keep activities" option enabled).
I took a look at the Memory consumption in Dev settings and noticed that the Android system will take up as much as 7gb (out of 8gb). UI becomes laggy, taking photos is super slow, and nothing stays open. A reboot fixes it for a few hours.
Anyone experiencing this as well?
I submitted a bug report here. Please star it if you're having the same issue!
Hey guys I was just wondering about the Android 15 stable version on my pixel 9 pro as I have not been given the option to update it I am still on Android 14 while people I know who have the same phone have had the update for well over a week now just wondering if I was doing something wrong as I am not an expert on the subject at all so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Beta users,
Thank you for your continued support. Please share your latest experience on Android 15 QPR1 Beta 3 by filling out our 5 minute anonymous survey. This survey is only for devices running Beta 3 (AP41.240925.009). You can verify this by going to Settings > About Phone/Tablet.
We look forward to your feedback!
Ignore the flair I could not find the one for beta 3.
So I recently updated to beta 3. I have to say that thermals have been greatly improved and also the phone heats up significantly lesser on 5G now. But something that hasn't improved is the standby drain.
Currently it drains about 2% in an hour and about 4% in 2 and half hours even when I have always on display and tap to wake off. The standby drain was the least around the may beta when it used to drain only about 1% in 1.5 hrs and just 3-4% overnight in 8 hrs.
I wanted to know whats the situation like on the stable version. Is it better than this or is it just as bad as this?
Has anyone gotten the October Google play system update and the pixel feature drop with the new weather app? I thought beta users would also get it after QPR1 beta 3 dropped
So here is the point I am currently on andoird 15 API41.240823009 and want to opt out of the beta program. I know that the update will whippe my phone and don't really care because the setup is fast. I tried to update via System - Update but ended with a whipped phone still on android 15 beta ... Is the update bug resolved now or should i just "erase all data" via the reset options in System and hope for the best ? Will this put my phone back to android 14 ?

I'm currently on 15 (AP41.240726.009) and I was told to opt out of the beta before downloading the update so i didn't have to do the data wipe, but my phone is still telling me to do a wipe to go back to 14.
I'm on Pixel 7 latest Android 15 beta released the other day. Not jumping to any conclusions here as I have no idea how this happened or why.
Today just browsing on chrome, my phone which was on about 45% battery just suddenly went black as if it powered off. Tried multiple options, holding down power and volume up, volume down, attempting to charge it up hoping to see the Google logo or a light and absolutely nothing. Been like it for several hours. Searched for this phenomenon and see posts called 'Pixel 7 black screen of death' but just wondered if anyone else on the beta program has suffered with this?
Thanks
If multiple AV streaming apps are open and playing back while in desktop mode, is each apps' audio streamed into the audio output like on linux where you would hear multiple audio streams at once? Right now when I navigate away from VLC and other AV apps, the audio stops. I'd like them to stay running so thinking about loading the new beta on to try it.
I am on the latest QPR1 Beta 3.
Unlock with fingerprint is gone
Hey there, I have a Pixel 9 and I was in the Beta program.. 2 weeks ago I received an update, after installing the update my fingerprint sensor was not working.. it said I had to press harder.. after many reboots it was working again..
2 days ago I received the Beta 4 update and after restart my fingerprint was completely gone.. it's not showing up on the Lockscreen and also not showing up in the settings.. just face unlock.. I tried the calibration website from Google, but it's not working with Pixel 9 unfortunately..
I opted out of the Beta Programm and installed the stable version with a clean and full wipe... But the problem still exists.. no fingerprint method, just face unlock.. anyone else noticed the same problem? Should I contact Google for an exchange? Or wait for software update again?
Can I currently opt-out (without data wipe) to Android 15 and not go to QPR1 Beta 3?
I am on AP41.240925.009 on my Pixel 9 Pro XL, which is Beta 3 i believe. Now how will i get out of this to stable 15, without needing data wipe? Is it even possible?
Is it just me, or is the new color palette for themed icons on the pixel launcher just really ugly?
The contrast looks weird, also the new colors don't fit in with the rest of the color palette of the UI. Just look at the clock widget in comparison.
I hope this is just a bug, and gets fixed. What do you guys think?
We have the new at a glance widget, but how to remove the old and outdated at a glance on the first page???
So I'm from India, and I'm using Jio sim in my Pixel9.
I know Pixel9 device supports Vo5G feature,
But I can't see the option (Vo5G/VoNR) in my device, whereas other country pixel users can have ot in their devices.
is it only for me (or) Vo5G is not available in Indian pixel users?
