Welcome to Amory, where there isn't anything to do and the diplomas don't matter.
Amory was the first planned city in Mississippi. The Kansas City, Memphis & Birmingham Railroad needed a mid-point between Memphis, Tennessee and Birmingham, Alabama for their locomotives, and they laid out the new town of Amory in 1887. People from nearby Cotton Gin Port on the Tombigbee River abandoned their town and moved to Amory.

Hey all, so I know we’re only about 3 months out from when the tornado hit town, but even with that I’ve noticed a lot of construction on Main Street. Some obvious ones like the Renesant Bank renovation and the Funky Cones building, however there are a lot of buildings that have studs going up on the insides of buildings. I’ve heard rumors of a Lost Pizza coming where 1529 Fitness used to be, along with a zaxabys possibly out on 278? Like I said just rumors but I wanted to know if anyone on the Reddit had an idea of what any of these businesses may be or any other rumors.

Just saw that Monroe County has the first confirmed case of Coronavirus. Wash your hands and take it seriously.
I have too many people I know up there joking about it and saying this is a ploy just to hurt Trump. It is not, people are dying and most of Europe is on complete lock down. Throughout the US non essential retail is being closed and travel restrictions are being put in place.
Lives are at stake, take the time to wash your hands and don't be an idiot. You may not be in the risk group but there are a lot of people at risk throughout Monroe county that are our parents, grandparents and friends. Do it for them.
If one of you ends up sick and giving it to my dad because you didn't take it serious I will be pissed.
Go get yours now!!
