Anyone else just think that it could be a really cool fun thing for them to do?
I dunno maybe myles and scotts vocals wouldnt blend well but its something I would still love to see happen
Good morning,
I've been searching everywhere for the two albums from one of Myles's early bands, Citizen Swing. They released Deep Down and Cure Me With A Groove back in the '90s. These CDs are really tough to find and incredibly expensive, so I'm reaching out to see if anyone might have a 320 rip to share. Since these albums aren’t available to stream or purchase anywhere now, I hope this is a fair request. If it’s not, feel free to delete this post.
Thanks!
One Day Remains, Blackbird & Fortress aren’t bad, but they’re not as good as AB III, Pawns & Kings, or Walk The Sky. And I think that we can all agree that The Last Hero is very bad.
I know their styles are different and they come from different backgrounds, but Myles seems to be a lot more knowledgeable about the art of playing itself, whereas Mark seems more knowledgeable about gear. Mark can definitely shred a lot harder, but Myles’s playing is a lot more diverse. What do you guys think?
I personally haven't really gelled with anything Myles has been involved with since his last solo record. I felt like The Ides of March was sorta all over the place and lacked any fervor. Then 4 came out and that... was just a disaster. And Pawns and Kings, while it had some really cool songs, overall felt a little dry. Walk the Sky was the last Myles project that blew me away. Until now! I've been listening to The Art of Letting Go upwards of twice a day since it came out! It's the first record Myles has been on in years where I feel like he's firing on all cylinders. I also believe his voice sounds way better on this record than it did on Pawns and Kings.
The melodies are so beautiful...it could have easily been an Alter bridge song imo...Myles's bity texture on top of this would have been a treat
There's a creed song that has been trending one last breath. I wanted to hear it again but with AB boys so I did this. Jk
does anyone know what song is playing before the concert starts. whenever i look at old shows there’s this like nice melody with some drums in the background playing
Both incredible but I prefer Fortress
"Throw the pasta away"
Mine has gotta be Poison in Your Veins, hands downs. It is epic and anthemic on an immeasurable level. I could listen to it on loop for hours. Now you!
I've been lucky enough to see Alter Bridge 13 times and was present for all their UK live recordings. I was disappointed with their Royal Albert Hall performance. I was sat up in the gods and the sound quality was pretty poor!
So my question is, which of the shows you've been to has been your most memorable?
Mine has to be their 2008 Brixton Academy show. It was being filmed (although not released) and their performance was on point. The crowd was right up for it and was the best atmosphere I've witnessed at an AB show.
The songs are big and grand and layered and melodic and catchy.... Ugh I love this album so much. And tbh, I think the production totally works. I love the larger than life, all encompassing sound. This album is 10/10 for me.
My vocal cover of wonderful life. I am in no way Mr. Kennedy, but I give it an honest try,. Anyone that cares to listen and has feedback be sure to let me know. I do this kind of as a fun hobby. So feedback is always welcomed.
Thanks, hope everyone's having a great day!
Hey, everyone!
I am looking to find a high resolution version of Myles' new album cover? Riza Peker is the artist, but I want it for a computer wallpaper and the only images I can find are just retail listings for the album. Does anyone have a copy?
I'll start. I believe Walk The Sky is their best album. If anyone wants my justification for this, simply ask and I'll provide an explanation. Now you! And let's please be civil with each other. We're all fans of the same band here :)
Been an AB fan since the beginning! With Pawns and Kings turning 2 today, it got me thinking about how I would rank the AB albums in terms of my own personal enjoyment of the album from top to bottom. After giving it some thought, this is my ranking…
1.) Fortress
2.) Blackbird
3.) Pawns and Kings
4.) AB III
5.) One Day Remains
6.) The Last Hero
7.) Walk the Sky
Whats your ranking!?
I was just watching a recent interview with Myles where he talked about the production on the record. He said something like "we really tried to make sure it wasn't overproduced." I'm just like... Come on mannn. I think Elvis doesn't hear "no" often enough. This record is hella overproduced. He also said they basically tried to strike a balance between a more organic approach and a more modern one. I don't think there's any balance. All I hear is poopy modern production. The drums in particular.
Do you buy the CD from the artist or a digital copy? If CD, how do you listen to it? I usually buy signed copy from the artist and then put it on my phone. Curios what others do.
