Is ACJ321XLR a real plane?

Hi, a320neo has a range of 3000nm and ACJ320neo has a range of 6000nm. With that logic, if a321xlr has a range of 4700nm, how will be the range of ACJ321XLR?? Could it be atleast 7000nm?

Does Airbus offer such configuration od a321xlr for a private buyer?

A380 possible improvements (airframe & wings)

Theoritcal Question: How much weight Airbus can reduce of A380 if the airframe and wins are made using composite material.

Currently A380 is mostly metal unlike A350 or Dreamliner.

New aeroplane ferried at Airbus?

I hope that this is the right place to ask (Accept my apologies if not. I've already asked once in another Reddit page and wasn't met by the friendliest of responses...).
I've been keeping track of JAL's new A350-1000s that are being manufactured by Airbus. Partly out of interest and also because I am due to fly HND - LHR in February and for now the A350-1000 will be used on alternate days (and right now my flight is still due to use the B777-300er)

That backstory aside. I've been keeping track on the progress of JA07WJ and I noticed that it was ferried from TLS - CHR after it's fourth flight. I am wondering just how common this is and what does ferrying mean and the reasons why a plane might be 'ferried'? I haven't seen this happen to any of the other A350-1000s that have been manufactured so far for JAL and it's made me curious.

Thank you in advance for listening to my general curiosity about something that I wish I had more knowledge on.

Airbus 12 month intern application timeline

I've applied for a few internships at airbus and was wondering when they usually start taking interviews. I have one person who told me that they took his just before christmas. I've read about others who have waited 3 months just to be rejected. Does it vary based on the role? Should I be applying for more airbus internships even if they aren't my preferred ones just to get a higher chance of getting an offer?

AGGP status.

I applied to several AGGP positions between sept 11 and 12. After doing the article shores assignment the status of all of them changed to ‘under review’. One of them changed to ‘interview’ a couple of days later but airbus hr team sent me an email telling me it had been an error and status reverted to ‘under review’.

It’s been more than a month and I have been rejected in two of the positions I applied to, but the rest are still under review. Is anybody in the same boat I am right now? Does somebody know if the lack of status change means they forgot about it after choosing another candidate?

I have read people didn’t get a response until November or even February, but I guess that’s not the norm but some exceptions.

What are your favourite fun facts about Airbus?

So much great info out there, private jets for royals; most expensive products; but what's your fave Airbus fun fact?

Mine is that all the flight decks on their commercial aircraft (and the A400M) are basically the same, so a A320 pilot could fly an A400M without much difficulty

What are these probe like things on the trailing edge of wings on A320

Initially I thought they were some kind of pilot tube but it doesn't make sense to have a velocity measuring instrument on the trailing edge where it will be exposed to turbulence.

Application Status

Does this mean I will get an interview or does it mean that the position is at the interview stage? I haven't got any email from them yet so I'm not sure.

Are there any opportunities for a Non experienced with an A320 Type rating?

Just got out of flight school and proceeded with a Type rating, in my country low hours go into airlines. But I want to know, what opportunities do I have around the world?

Everytime a passenger calls a flight attendant with the button, it makes a noise. I am annoyed and ask flight attendants to mute the system? Some do it, other seems to be clueless and say it can't be muted. Does the system work the same on all airbus aircrafts?

seeks internship

Hello everyone 😄

I'm an engineering student in France and I'm currently looking for my end-of-study internship for March 2025. I'm interested in the aeronautics sector and have already had access to this sector through internships and aviation diplomas in the past. I'd be very motivated by the idea of doing my internship in the United States (especially California, but I'm open to all places), in order to develop my skills in an international environment.

Unfortunately, without any contacts abroad, I've noticed that it's quite difficult to apply or get a simple answer, even on Linkedin...

That's why I'd like your help or tips to increase my chances of finding an internship there. 😇

Thank you very much to those who will take the time to help me.

Have a nice day!

AGGP Application Status

Hi,

Hope all is well with everyone.

Has anyone heard back from AIRBUS regarding assessment centres or further progression regarding AGGP? I have been stuck on “Assessment” since September 11th and I have not heard back anything yet. Anyone have any information?

Thanks and have a great day.

Seeking advice for a data analyst internship interview

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for a data analyst internship at Airbus and have been progressing through the recruitment process. After completing a pre-recorded video interview, I’ve now been invited to an interview with people from the team.

I’m wondering what to expect from this interview. Does anyone have any insight into the types of questions that might be asked, particularly for an internship? Are there any specific technical aspects or key points about Airbus culture that I should be aware of?

For some background, I’m in my final year of studies in AI and big data, with experience in development (Python, SQL) and data analysis. If anyone has gone through a similar interview or has advice on how to prepare, I’d really appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Questions About #DISCOVER I 2025-2026 Aerodynamics Internship & UCJC Master's Program

Hey everyone,

I've been looking into the #DISCOVER 2025-2026 Aerodynamics Internship at Airbus in Madrid, which includes a Master's degree at UCJC. However, I've been having some trouble finding detailed information about it. I hope anyone who has participated in or knows about this program can help answer a few questions.

UCJC Partnership:
I've been looking into the partnership between Airbus and UCJC but haven’t been able to find much about the specific Master's program tied to this internship. I've also tried contacting UCJC directly but haven't received a reply yet. Does anyone know if there’s a specific portal or link for more details about the Master's program and how it works with the internship?

Master's Program:
I couldn’t find an aerospace-specific program on the UCJC website. Is applying through the Airbus Workday portal enough, or do we also need to apply separately on the UCJC portal for the degree? How long is the program, and which language is it taught in? Do I need to be enrolled in UCJC before applying for the internship, or is enrollment handled after acceptance?

Application Process:
For those who have applied or are familiar with the process, what are the key steps? Are there any specific documents or requirements I should be aware of?

I’d really appreciate any insights or advice from those who have gone through the process or know more about the program. Thanks in advance!
