ACRL-AC - 1999 BTCC season

Better late than never ...

ACRL is half way through our BTCC season in Assetto Corsa, using the excellent set of 1999 cars from PM3DM - the Nissan Primera, Volvo S40 and BMW M2. But you are welcome to join in mid-season. Four more races to go - Croft, Thruxton, Snetterton and Donington National.

We've gone full BTCC with the race format. 3 * 15 minute races in each event, with success ballast. First race is ballasted by season standings, second race both the ballast and the grid is set by first race finishing order, third race is a reverse grid (random between 6 and 12) with ballast set by second race.

We have also applied a season BoP to the cars, and we feel we've gotten a good balance, so all three are competitive.

In order to make sure everyone has some skin in the game, we have pre-quali requirements, whereby you must put in 3 consecutive laps within a certain time in the week prior to each race, on our PQ servers.

Next race is Sunday May 8th, at Croft.

  • Date: 25/10/2020
  • Track: Paul Ricard
  • Weather forecast: Forecast says light to moderate rain probable at some point throughout the weekend.

  • Race Server Name: ACRL Race Server N

CHECK IN

Check in to the race here.

In order to check in you must have an account on the ACRL website and have registered for the season here.

PRE-QUALIFYING

Race servers are decided according to pre-qualifying lap times.

If the number of check-ins requires multiple servers to be used then times set in Pre-Qualifying will be used to determine how to split drivers across servers. Drivers will be split equally across servers with a maximum server size of 44.

Pre-Qualifying runs all week (and should be live from this thread being posted) and closes 1 hour before the practice session on race day.

Current lap times for Pre-Qualifying can be found here:

IMPORTANT RULES

  • Teleporting to the pits while on track during race weekends is allowed only during the practice session. In the qualifying session, you will need to drive back to the pits. Teleporting is then allowed after the pit limiter is engaged. During qualifying if you teleport while the car is on track, you will not be allowed to rejoin the session, and you will have to remain in the pits. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a DSQ. In race sessions teleporting at any point is an instant DNF and you must remain in the pits.
  • Track Limits are defined by the in game rules of ACC. You get three warnings for cutting, the 4th will result in a Drive-Through penalty.
  • We have drivers of all skill levels. For those of you who are joining us for the first time, please keep in mind some drivers work hard tuning their setups all week, it doesn't matter if you're casual/competitive, it can only take a second to destroy hours of work for others. Racing in this league is open for everyone but you must put in enough effort and practice to race cleanly among others.
  • After the race make sure to report any incidents on the ACRL Website. Make sure to familiarise yourself with the procedures and what is required for a report to be taken into consideration.

If you have any questions before the race, you can contact us at our Discord server.

Any fast P13c drivers out there?

Sorry for posting this several times on the ACRL forums, but I think the lack of replies is just because the right person still needs to see my cry for help ;)

Is there any of the fast P13c drivers who would be willing to share their setup for Silverstone?
I had a stable car but I'm just so slow compared to the rest. I would like to see what a different setup will do for my laptimes on Silverstone.

Pre-Qualifying runs all week (and should be live from this thread being posted) and closes 1 hour before the practice session on Race day. If you see your name listed on a booked server then please use that server. If you are not listed then please use the Open server.
