Should I (14) should be worried about lumps?

I've heard about breast lumps. How do I check for them, and what do I do if I find one?

Recommendations needed: 36DD/38D to 34DD/DDD?? Deflated after breastfeeding. Looking for extreme push-up and back smoothing. Measurements and pictures included.

Hello!

Here are my measurements in INCHES.

NSFW Current pictures in a 38D double push up from Victoria’s Secret pictures here

Goal picture of me pre-kids circa 2013 , in the old VS double push-up

Loose underbust: 33.5 Snug underbust: 32 Tight underbust: 30.5 Standing bust: 38 Leaning bust: 39 Lying bust: 39 UK Size: 34DD/E

Looking for extreme push up in front, smoothing on sides/back.

After having children and 5.5 years of breastfeeding, and one Victoria’s Secret visit ending in tears, I need help.

I like push-up, boob job looking breasts.

My breasts have NO shape anymore. Very skin feeling when I stuff them into a push-up bra. I struggle to get that V look at the top regardless of falling out of the cup at the bottom of the V. I even had marks on my shoulders which is not the look.

I’ve lost about half the baby weight, but still sitting at overweight BMI. Thus the very skinny back bands at Victoria’s Secret are not my favorite. My ideal bra would be smoothing with bands that don’t have obvious seam lines.

Super Push up and smoothing band seems reasonable surely!

I’m not picky on color, as I am so desperate. When I find a style I like, I would purchase multiple: tan, black, lacy/fun.

Price does not matter.

Brand recommendations please help I think I need a unicorn.

After two kids, years of breastfeeding and then more weight gain, I have recently lost 25kgs (55pounds) and I'm desperately trying to find bras to fit. Band size 10(32) seems it be a good fit, F cups are a little small (boob muffin top) so likely need a G. Sorry if I get some incorrect terms in here, but my boobs are quite spread and I find underwires uncomfortable, I've also lost the fullness I once had so I need good support to have them sitting where they should be. But:

  1. I live in Australia where larger cup sizes on smaller bands are far and few between.

  2. I have sensory processing disorder, lace is one of those things I absolutely cannot have on my skin.

  3. As with point one, most bras available in my size are miniamisers which I don't want to do - embrace the boobs!

  4. I would prefer to not spend a small fortune on a single bra.

I know I need to look at international brands, but where to I start to find a non minimiser, non underwire, good support with no lace in large cup sizes?

Am i looking for a unicorn?

Looking for a breathable but supportive bra that doesn’t feel like I’m being squished

Hello all so I really need a comfortable bra that is breathable for the upcoming summer months. I live in the south so it gets very hot and humid and my work requires me to be outside for a majority of the day.

I am currently wearing a Soma Embraceable Lace Perfect Convertible Bra in a 34DD. The fit is good and it’s as comfortable as a bra can be for me. But by midday my boobs are swimming in sweat and it’s harder to cool off.

I also have sensory issues with most tight fitting tops and bras because it makes me feel like I can’t breathe. I only wear a bra when necessary like going out and going to work. Going braless is not an option for my work because of my size and how much I move throughout the day.

I just need something breathable supportive but not restrictive.

In store shopping for 32/34 band larger cup bras? (America)

I need to compare sizes, can’t afford to buy and return multiple bras from an online store. 99% of stores I’ve been to doesn’t go above 32DDD/34DDD in store, and the one store that did was an outlet store in another state I do not live in. I’m looking online and can only find Soma, which is not in my town😵‍💫 Suggestions?

ETA: in store point is no issue since I’m just looking to try on at this point

34DD Panache Ana sits too low; ribcage pain. Looking for brand/style direction and understanding shape I’m working with.

I got quite close with the Panache Ana in 34DD, but the underwire sits too low on my ribcage and not just under the root. Also, seemed to be more tightening of straps than expected. Any suggestions as for what to try next? Should I consider any padding? Are my roots too wide to consider underwire? https://imgur.com/a/BIVoPnn ^took before realizing I was using a stretchy extender and that a side view might be more helpful.

Also tried Freya Starlight in 34DD, but there was extra fabric/gapping in the cup above the nipple, towards the cleavage area.

Looking at: Panache Rocha Low Front Balconette, Panache Envy Balconette, Wingslove Demi Sheer Mesh Balconette See Through Bralette Unlined Underwire, Skarlett Blue Women's Minx Balconette T-Shirt Bra 322100…all in 34DD with a non-stretch extender.

Underbust: 34.25", Snug 33.75", Tight 33.25", Standing 37", 90 degrees 39", Laying 38.5". Calculator stated 34DD. Shape: Wide Root, Weight mostly below nipple and projected.

Measurement confusion post-masectomy- what do I measure for "bust?" 32A or 32D?

I had a bilateral masectomy but I still have a tiny bit of breast tissue mostly in my armpit area, and some loose-ish skin all over.

I took my measurements before and they were all 32, no duh I have no chest.... but today I was measuring myself again and realized I'm actually 34 inches if I go slightly higher than my nipples and include that bit of tissue that used to sit juuuust outside my bra cup. I can actually loosely grab and hold a good clementine-sized handful of tissue on either side, but it's literally that area just outward of where my boobs used to be. I am 22yoF, 120lbs 5ft7 so it's not just ribcage fat.

Does that.... count? Where exactly do I measure for bust?

If I measure right at my nipples and call that my bust, yeah it's 32 for all measurements.

But if I measure above my nipples and include that tissue....

My standing bust is 34, and my leaning and laying bust are 36!!!! And the calculator says..... 32D???? Huhhhh?

I've been trying to find a good underwire bra just because I've always worn underwire bras and feel naked without it, but I haven't had much luck so far finding something to give me a feminine silloutte under my shirt rather than make me look like I've got big pecs.

Fit check - 34G Comexim Nina Half Cup 3HC Padded Underwire

Hi all,

Hoping for some guidance here! I’m experiencing some gapping at the top of this Comexim bra (ordered 34G from Breakout Bras) and feeling like it could be because I need to go up another cup size? (I’m a UK 34F/FF according to ABTF). When I move the straps outward, the cups do lay flat, but still seem a little small and gore is still oddly placed? Maybe not a shape fit? Not totally sure what’s going on here! I’m waiting to receive a plunge as well in the same size but am wondering if I’ll run into the same issue. We shall see! I do really like the lift I get with this brand and the narrow gore, so would also love to hear any recommendations for similar styles that might be better for my shape (FOB, center full, narrow shoulders).

Photos: https://imgur.com/a/vfnA0Is

ABTF measurements: Loose underbust: 33.5” Snug underbust: 33” Tight underbust: 32” Standing bust: 40.25” Leaning bust: 43.5” Lying bust: 39” UK sizing: 34F/FF

Found: Best Bikini Style - Large Chest

Hi everyone, I know this isn't strictly bra information. I figured this out for myself and believe this is the best reddit community to share the information on.

I found the best bikini top style for large chest. For context, I am a 34H, size 8 in general clothes, and I buy bikini tops in XL for myself.

Short Sleeve, Deep V-Neck/ tie style (links of examples below). I can also share a pic of myself in mine if anyone is curious.

It's perfect because the deep v shape and tightness of swimsuit material keep my breast separate so no uni-boob or uncomfortable cleavage sweat. With the top being short sleeve, there is no side boob. It keep me well contained and no risk of nip slips. This style top is more comfortable to me than bra style tops, especially those with underwire. As well as these regular types of bikini tops are more affordable.

One point where is this may not work for someone, is if your nipples are set more medial/ toward the middle of your body with the deep V. My nipples are set slightly outward facing so it works perfect for me.

Hope this helps someone else!

[Fit Check] Bras still do not fit right

Loose underbust: 41 Snug underbust: 40 Tight underbust: 39 Standing bust: 53 Leaning bust: 57 Lying bust: 54

The ABTF calculator is saying I'm 40JJ, regular measuring in a bra says I'm a 40H. If you check my last post where I was having trouble finding my size I was recommended to try a 40HH. I bought the Panache Tango and the fit is like this (see photos) with the cups becoming loose at the top and the gore not sitting against my sternum. I also bought the Flirtelle Riley which I like the look of but something feels off about this fitting (see photos). The gore also does not sit against my sternum.

Having trouble filling out my graduation dress! (shallow breasts)

Just as the title says, I have shallow, small boobs (34-36B usually) and I HATE bras. I actually am not 100% sure of my bra size because I do NOT like wearing them, and I can get away with not wearing a bra so I rarely ever do. I know I absolutely have shallow boobs, and they're more far apart on my chest, so I literally have never had cleavage in my life. Actually, it's painful for me to even attempt to push my boobs together, just so you get the picture, they don't touch and I practically don't have any boob to speak of on the top portion so all of the bras I've ever worn have terrible gapping.

I bought a graduation dress for my masters degree and in came in the mail a couple days ago. https://forloveandlemons.com/products/shai-mini-dress-pink

It has underwire in the cups, the back of the dress won't accommodate a bra, it's a spaghetti strap dress and there's a cut out in the front in the middle of the chest.

The huge issue is that the cups gap so much and has so much space in the top it looks funny. It's too late for me to order another dress or go to a tailor, and anyway, the dress looks great otherwise.

I ordered push-up bra inserts as a hail mary to try and save this, but they look horrible in the cups of the dress because of the shallowness of my boobs, they don't push ANYTHING up or together but instead to protrude the cups out, leaving an even BIGGER and definitely more notable gap.

Do I have any options here? I would be open to try anything at this point.

Fit Check - Panache Envy 36G - First bra ordered after ABTF sizing.

Hi! Hopefully I’m posting this correctly. Picture link is at the bottom. I ordered a Panache Envy Balconette Bra in 36G. My ABTF bra size is US 34H/I (36G maybe more comfortable).

The band is pretty tight and on the last hooks. And the top is gapping / loose. Straps are digging into my shoulders a bit and I didn’t tighten them at all. I’ve looked through the shape guide but still am h sure of my shape. Will also be measuring again just to make sure I was correct the first time (gonna ask for help this time lol).

Aside from the issues noted, the support and lift feel amazing!

Could the fit be because the style isn’t good for my shape? Or could I do ok with another size of this style?

What does everyone think?

Currently wear 42D, calculator says 44G. Is this right? I have a 44DD bra that has empty space in the cups

Hi all,

My measurements in inches are: Loose Underbust: 46 Snug Underbust: 44 Tight Underbust: 43 Standing Bust: 50 Leaning Bust: 52 Lying Bust: 51

Assigned female at birth.

My current bra is a Torrid Bombshell Everyday Strapless. 42D. Band feels snug to tight, but I have issues where it feels as if my boobs are spilling out on the bottom near my arm pit.

I have the same bra in a size 44DD and I can take my entire fist and fill in the empty space of the cup. So it seems like going up a cup size would be worse.

I have bottom heavy breasts, teardrop shape.

Could this be a bra shape issue or is the calculation wrong? There was a disclaimer stating something about calculation limitations.

Calculated my measurements: Loose 37; Snug 36; Tight 34; Standing 43; Leaning 46; Laying 43. Calculated size 36G/H. Current bra size is 36DD

Calculated my measurements: Loose 37; Snug 36; Tight 34; Standing 43; Leaning 46; Laying 43. Calculated size 36G/H. Current bra size is 36DD. Bras I’m wearing always have a gap at the top and I’m usually spilling out the top, often times I have to push my breasts back into the cups. I tried my best at figuring out my breast shape and I believe I have projected breasts with bottom fullness, possibly center fullness?

ISO new Over the shoulder boulder holder

44 band relaxed 43 band snug 41 band tight

47 bust 51 90° bust 48 laying down

Full on top Projected? Horizontal fullness Wide roots

Have not worn a bra that wasn’t a bralette in ~8 years. Just want shape (and comfort) again as I feel that after weight gain and loss, all the perk in the ole gals is gone. Looking for unlined and possibly another for some lift/padding.

I have read a bunch of this and I know most folks think their size is too big, but, the last bra I tried was a 44B (snug/ somewhat supportive but a 44C was so gappy!) and this says 42 DD/E in UK sizing and 42DD/DDD in US sizing.

Where should I start? TIA

Thanks to all of you on this sub

I lurked. I read. I did the calculator measurements. I went from thinking I was a DD to it saying I was a GG. I said out loud, to myself, "well, that CAN'T be right". I measured again because I was sure I had done it wrong. I trusted the calculator and ordered anyway. My boobs have never looked so good. My back has never felt better. After doing these measurements and measurements for a woodworking project (which I've never done before) I now believe I am the undisputed champion of measuring correctly.

And it's all thanks to you 🖤

Bra for Post Breastfeeding Recommendations

I'm finally done breastfeeding and am eager to find a bra that fits these new boobs. They are slightly deflated and tend to sag in my current bra causing gapping. I'm looking for a bra that is comfortable and will look smooth and seamless under clothing while still looking somewhat sexy. Does this exist?

Loose bust 31" Snug bust 30" Tight bust 28.5" Standing bust 33" Leaning bust 34.5" Lying bust 34"

30D (32C) was suggested

I currently have Third love bras 32C1/2 that have gapping.

Recommendations for LINED bras? 34GG/J

I know it’s commonly recommended here to go with unlined, unmolded (I cannot remember the proper word for the life of me lol), but I have sensory issues and unlined isn’t an option for me. I have teardrop shaped, average-shallow projection if that helps. I have always bought T-shirt bras so that’s really what I’m comfortable in, but I do have gapping if they are too tall.

There are so many options I do not know where to start.

Took my measurements! Says I’m a 38F Uk for starting point

These are my current measurements from the calculator.

Loose Underbust:38

Snug Underbust: 36

Tight Underbust: 34

Standing Bust:43

Leaning Bust:45

Lying Bust: 43

My recommended size is a 38F in UK which is a 38 g in US.

I also have east west boob shape

I do feel like a 38 band is too big though.

I’m currently wearing a VS Sexy Tee Lightly Lined Smooth Demi Bra in 36ddd. The band is on the tightest hook and it still rides up. It however cannot be too far off from the actual size I need in a bra hopefully!

I do have a bit of spillage in the center but it’s no bigger than 2 inches. The wires also dig in me when sitting. Especially the center. It sits flat but it’s uncomfortable. I don’t have any armpit issues or strap issues though. I do have problems with my boobs falling out underneath when holding my arms up.

Sport bras !! Need help please!!

So I'm very new too Crossdressing. 24M but I guess I'd rather be identified as female. Carrying on though, I have recently joined a local gym and I have been wondering if I bought a sports bra to start off on wearing feminine outfits, would it show under clothes. I'd probably wear my usual t shirt, sports tops or jerseys over them. Thanks to anyone who replys in advance. Really appreciate it.

Im genuinely confused and slightly terrified

I tried the “a bra that fits” calculator and it put me at a 32 E UK and a 32 DDD US/Ca. Ive been searching for a bra that fits me for a longggg time. I grew up bullied for being flat chested and i was always called “underdeveloped”. For a long time i could only wear trainer bralettes and i was literally 13. Just recently I've developed enough to fit into some bras and when i mean some i mean one style from one brand fits me. And Ive tried almost everything. Gaps are my largest problem. I have small tits and nothing could convince me otherwise, i literally look flat with t shirts on, like im not even joking. I have no issue with my chest, im very confident and happy about my small boobs and i want to find the best for them. My normal fitting size is a 36 A. Thats right A 36A. And so i did some deep diving for my girls and found this, and it looked glorious. And i have a soft measuring tape. Im pretty sure i did every accurate, i made sure i did exactly what it asked with a soft measuring tape. And when i got the results i was more thank shocked, I LITERALLY LAUGHED. Somone tell me whats going on please

34G sports bra with low center gore

Hello!

I searched through the existing posts, but didn't see anything that talked about gore height on the bras. If I use the ABTF calculator, my actual bra size is a 32HH (UK), but I can assure you that I need ma 34. That said, the cup size varies by bra. Typically it is a G or GG/H. My issue is that I am shorter and am also short-waisted, so every wired sports bra I try (and many regular bras) have center gores that are so high they poke me when I lean over and leave bruises. They also tend to be too high in the arm pit, but that is manageable.

I desperately need a sports bra that provides separation (I hate the boob sweat from uniboobs), but that doesn't have a center gore that cuts into me when I lean over. I've tried all the ones I try on that have separation have a really high center gore (like Freya's). Does anyone have any suggestions on finding something that works? I'd try going down in band size, in Freya's, for ex., I'm already a 34GG, so going down to try to shorten the gore would only get me to a 32, because they only make an H.

For what it's worth, my HG sports bra is the Bali Active Foam sports bra, which doesn't come in a big enough cup, but everything else worked so I was okay with the double-boob. It is no longer made and I can't find it second hand now thought.

I finally found a starting point!!!

My bra sizing is all over the place. I’ve also tried the calculator but I keep getting different measurements and sizes. I also went to torrid and got measured and ended up walking out with a 38d. I also ended up buying during the vs online sale and went to a 36ddd in their Demi bras a little bit later. Which is not a bad fit but it’s not great. It’s definitely better than all the other bras I’ve ever owned in my life.

I have a super hard time bra shopping. I had a mom that told me that my boobs could not be bigger than hers because she had children. I was a 36c and 15 then. I’m 21 now.

When I first started experimenting with sizes I went to a 36d and that was at 17 because I bought them of a clearance rack and that’s all I could afford at the time.

At 19 I finally found this sub. I was not thrilled with ordering online due to the fact I’d have to send it back constantly and tried to avoid it. I also could not believe that my boobs would be at least a ddd.

Like I said the ddd isn’t a bad fit it just isn’t comfortable and I have a bit of spillage in the front and I constantly have to adjust.

I’m thinking about trying a wacoal bra in 34g.

I’m 38gg/h but only one bra has fit so far?

I need a bra to wear under t-shirts and tanks. I given up on just trying ones without foam cups and have started trying almost anything just to have a tshirt bra.

Underbust: Loose 39
comfy 37.5
Tight 36.5

Breast: Standing 48
Leaning 49 Laying down 47

Calculator puts me at 38gg/h in UK sizing. (I’ve been buying 38gg, mostly cause that’s more commonly available on Amazon than 38h. Been using Amazon because I’ve never seen a bra bigger than DDD in a store.)

Breast weight is balanced from top to bottom. But weight is centered horizontally, with breasts set to the side with a gap of 3 fingers across my sternum.

My roots are under my armpit and up to my collar bone (stopping half an inch away).

So far of all the underwire bra I’ve tried, most have hurt.

The problems:

  • most common problem underwire cutting into my armpit or even into my arm.
  • 2nd most common problem is the material near the apex of the bra cutting into my breast as the underwire cuts into my armpit while the band and the majority of the cup fits perfectly (Elomi Bijou molded cup 38gg)
  • 3rd common issue I’ve been seeing is weird gapping in the bra itself. This has presented a couple of ways

— Freya Offbeat Demi Molded Plunge 38gg - the band and underwire fit perfectly, but there were huge gaps, well everywhere. The thing looked enormous compared to my breasts. — Parfait Charlotte 38gg, the band, underwire, and bottom of cut seemed alright but I could have shoved a man’s trifold wallet in the gap at the top. I’ve ordered this is a couple of other sizes

The one brand that has fit is the Freya Offbeat Side Support 38gg, the wires on the side are lower and the apex isn’t that high.

I was looking for an unlined bra that doesn’t have lace cups (cause it looks bumpy under tank tops) and didn’t have molded foam (cause I’ve never found one that has fit). I can’t seem to find anything.

Does anyone else have this problem and have bras to recommend? Or have ideas on how to address the issue of underwired or fabric always cutting into me? I’m beginning to think the bottom of my breasts must be set uncommonly high compared to most people’s.

I’m beyond frustrated and have spent months now trying to find 2-3 underwire bras to add to my wardrobe. I would appreciate any advice..

New bra but band seems to be stretched out already

I got a new Panache Ana bra a little less than two weeks ago and it seems to fit well. However, I noticed that the band seems to be stretched out a bit already as the fabric isn’t completely flat anymore even when it’s not under tension. I’m sorry if it’s a stupid question and I don’t really know how to describe it well but is this normal? Should I get an extender to prevent this because I feel like it’s stretching way too easily. 😅

Can anybody help me determine the size I need for a bra?

Hello! I just took my measurements and saw in the guide that the calculator may be inaccurate for my measurements and I should make a post instead. Here is what I have for measurements. Thank you so much for any help you can give me!

Snug underbust: 92 cm Tight underbust: 86 cm

Bust standing: 110 cm Bust leaning: 118 cm Bust lying: 115 cm

A bra that fits...mostly (gore pain? gapping?)

A bit of scrolling this sub finally convinced me that after a decade and several years on a couple of hormonal BCs, I should maybe check my bra size again instead of blindly buying what worked for me as a 15yo... Went from a 32C UK (had recently been wearing a 34B because the underwire had been digging in directly beneath the bust) to a 32F on the calculator

Loose 83cm, snug 81cm, tight 78cm

Standing 95cm, leaning 99cm, lying 95cm

Wide set breasts, nipples pointing east-west a bit, one a bit smaller than the other, a bit less full at the top I think

I wasn't able to try on any 32F out of what was in stock at my local M&S, but there were some 32DD and E that gave me good results! Still a tiny bit of quadboob, but I need new bras stat for a trip, so I tried on about 20 and grabbed the 3 I liked the best

But. Fit issues still. If anyone has any advice on what specifically I should be looking for on each of these issues, I'd love to hear it!

Issue 1 – I bought an unlined underwire balcony in 32DD, because I tried the E and there was quite a lot of gapping at the top of the bust, where the cup meets the strap, which was very apparent in an unlined mesh. Even in the DD, there's a little bit of wrinkling in that area on the smaller breast. I can see where an E (maybe even an F...idk) would fit me better at the front of the cup above the gore, but is this just the best compromise in this style?

Issue 1.1 – gapping again, a 32DD and E lined full cup was basically hollow at the top of the breast and could practically be popped inside out, so I've just concluded that this style...doesn't work for my shape? I bought a 32E lined plunge which has this issue on the smaller breast but not as significantly, and if I sit relaxed/hunched the top edge of the cup on both sides is pushing out away from my skin. Is this just normal in a bra that isn't being a boob hat, like my old Cs were?

Issue 2 – gores... Why do they sometimes dig in so much? I got a 32DD lined demicup (again, slight quadboob but much better than my C) and it generally feels pretty good – but then an E in the same style had the top of the gore pressing into my sternum so painfully it left marks after just a minute or two. Specifically the top of the wire, like it was angled inwards, despite me checking the fit of the straps, wires, band, etc. I've had this before with other bras too, including when I bought Cs. Usually an issue when there's a higher gore and the wires go straight up against the sternum, but sometimes (like the one I bought) this isn't an issue. Where is it failing to fit properly, that this is the effect?

I can link the specific bras if needed, they're all Marks & Spencers with UK sizing

Can anyone recommend bralettes for my size?

I’m more so looking for bralettes to wear around the house for comfort and to sleep in. I can’t bear to sleep in a wired bra because it digs into me all night and feels awkward. I would prefer something without wires, but I’ve not had much luck with bralettes. A lot of them give me a weird uni boob situation where it feels like my boobs are being pushed together.

And then some of them fit perfectly but dig in and ride up around the band. I usually wear a 2X in every bralette. I tried skims and sized up per reviews in a 3X but it dug into me so much band wise I had to return it. Right now the only comfortable one I’ve found is a cheaper Hanes bralette but it still digs in at the band just not as much. There is also little to no support which can be a bit uncomfortable for me.

My measurements

  • loose under bust: 41
  • snug under bust: 39
  • tight under bust: 37
  • standing bust: 45
  • leaning bust: 47
  • lying bust: 44

As far as normal bras I’ve been wearing a freya off beat side support in 38FF but it’s just a little too tight at the band, other wise I love this bra. I’m also on a weight loss journey so I plan to keep it as I figure it will become more comfortable the more weight I lose. I ordered a panache envy 40F but it has yet to come in the mail

38H I'm looking for recommendations for a bra with a narrow gore

Hi, so having measured myself using the guide I come out at a UK 38H (it was a few weeks ago so I can't remember my 6 measurements), which is actually the size I was already wearing, however the problem I have is that I cannot find a bra where the gore actually touches my sternum. Do I need to go up a size or is there a shape of bra that has a particularly narrow gore? (If needed I'm in the UK so can get most of the brands recommended in this sub)
