I made the most of the free trial and made zaps to automate admin/data entry tasks.
Most of my zaps were triggered from a new row in a Google sheet. However I found half the time I'd add a new row but they wouldn't trigger.
I used the Xero plugin to create new projects but it can't create tasks within a project. You need to create a task to add time. So it only did half the job.
I tried the save a gmail attachment but that was the most problematic feature of the lot. Again not triggering when I want, saving as a zip file etc.
The whole experience started off looking so promising but ended in complete frustration.
When my trial ended. I just went back to doing my tasks manually.

Field Map: HubSpot ‘Company Name’ = Jira ‘Client Location’
I'm using HubSpot as source of record for ‘Company Name’, assigned ‘Recruiter’ and other client data. I'm using Jira Service Management as the Operations Service Desk. I have 4 jira Request Types configured associated with 4 Issue Types. Each Request Type has a 'Client Location' Field. When the HubSpot ‘Company Name’ changes (create, name changes, status = onboard, active).
I have the jira ‘Client location’ filed as single select dropdown. I want the field populated from the Hubspot ‘Company Name’. ‘Company Name’ should updated jira ‘Client Location’ dropdown on ‘Company Name’ create, update, status=active, onboarding.
Lastly I want the associated Hubspot ‘Recruiter’ assigned to the Hubspot ‘Company Name’ to populate a similar jira (JSM) recruiter single select dropdown.
Apps I am working with are Hubspot, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Zappier (enterprise integration). I’ve considering a) webhook, b) jira app ad-on Element Connect, and c) webook + zap
1. What is the most prudent integration approach? a), b), c), other?
2. How should I prepopulate the Jira Service Management single select drop down?
I have a trigger "Invitee creates an event" in Calendly.
Then I want it to update a contact in Leadconnector / High-level.
I just want to add a tag, but if I leave the other fields blank, I will end up with an updated totally blank contact with only the newly added tag.
I guess I have to manually add every contact detail, but since I cannot use the Find Contact in Leadconnector, since it is triggered by Calendly I am at a loss.
How do I make this work: preserve the contact information of a contact in Leadconnector and add one single tag to it?

So I am fairly new to this and decided to try and test myself by setting up an automation, where at the start of every week I get an email with a list of all the things in my Google calendar listed as.
Event name Time Description
I almost got it working but rather than it repeating the list above it spat out all of the events, then all of the times and then all of the descriptions instead of one event at a time. I then managed to sort it so that it would be in order but now I’m only getting one event in my email rather than the full amount.
My current flow is: Event trigger - new event in Google calendar Formatter - date / time - now Formatter - date / time - 7 days from now Filter - filter conditions- event begins equal to now and event before 7 days from now. Find multiple events - with times between now and 7 days time. Create loop from line items - with event name, time etc all on different value sets Formatter - utilities - line-item to text - and then a list of event time etc on different lines. Send email - then I have clicked in the looped event time etc.
Very long read and probably over complicated it but would appreciate any help
I'm having an issue with Email by Zapier’s "New Inbound Email" trigger. My workflow is designed to automatically process website contact form submissions and send me an SMS with a drafted reply.
Here’s the setup:
The issue:
I’ve checked:
✅ Gmail auto-forwarding settings – confirmed emails are being forwarded
✅ Google Workspace Email Log Search – shows successful delivery to Zapier's email
✅ Tried different filtering rules in Gmail, no change
✅ Tested removing attachments, plain text format, still no success
I suspect that either:
1️⃣ Gmail auto-forwarded emails are missing something Zapier needs (like a valid sender address).
2️⃣ Zapier’s email parser treats auto-forwarded messages differently than manually forwarded ones.
💡 Has anyone faced this issue? How did you solve it?

Yesterday, we received an email: "Your Team plan just got an upgrade" then in big letters "SSO is now included in your team plan". Great, methinks, and reads on "We've also introduced a 25-user limit—inspired by your feedback—to make team management simpler and more secure." Like, wtf?
Thankfully we were only just starting to use Zapier and are not invested to heavily yet (although we paid for an annual plan and I plan to make them refund me or scrap the limit), but I simply can't trust a company that uses these scummy ways to communicate news. I would've been much more open for their reasoning had they explained in honesty why they made these changes, but to sell it as an upgrade somehow is just a slap in the face.
We will start to review other tools before we get too invested in Zapier.
While writing this post I also just received a response and it was just a copy-paste that they seem to send to everyone with this feedback. No mention of our annual plan or consumer laws that state that contract terms can not just be changed mid-contract. No offer of a solution. Get screwed, Zapier!
I’ve got a zap that populates data from a FastField service sheet to Excel that works perfectly. I need a way to automatically extract images from the FastFields report and move them so a separate folder in Drive with only photos. Has anyone found a way to do this? I can’t seem to figure out how to filter the zap to run only when pictures are on the form (I’ve tried the filer function)

Hello! Have an issue with something that should be quite a simple!
I have an Airtable form where people select a single option from a drop down (Option a, Option b) and I want to send the content of that form to Asana (a custom field) via Zapier.
I'm getting this error even though the values 100% match (I copied and pasted them!). I tried Formatter - Utilities to map the value to plain text but I'm getting the same issue. I think it's something to do with how Asana understands the values. Any insight appreciated, this is driving me nuts!

I know the problem lies within mapping the single select fields to one another as it functions if I remove them. I've tried mapping the Zap the other way around Asana - Airtable to see what the values show as and there's about 4 different things for each custom field all named differently - it looks like this. So I think the problem is I can't map Airtable Single Select Text specifically to the NAME in Asana's drop down (ie the text in Asana drop down). This is because when you map the field it just gives you the field - I can't be specific.

I'm getting all weekly events from a calendar (get multiple events from Google Calendar) and want to create a single slack-message formatted like this:
[event name] - [event time]
[event name] - [event time]
[event name] - [event time]
(until all events are mentioned)
I'm trying to loop through the line items i get from the calendar action, but I'm not able to combine the items into one message as the loop action seem to prefer sending individual messages.
Are there any way to loop and combine line item items into a single text string that I can push into my slack message?
Anyone ever use zapper to automatically capture email activity to a lead/contact? Is it a bad idea?

Has anyone successfully got the squarespace file upload to google drive working? I seem to get so close but the file I retrieve from squarespace is a html file that is the squarespace login. If I open the same url with my browser ( while logged into squarespace ) I am able to retrieve the file. What am I missing??????

I am currently a student, looking at automation using zapier and AI to help stay organised whilst studying. Curious if anyone else on here currently uses zapier as a student.
I'm thinking about connecting it to Notion, emails, google cal, etc. Maybe even an SMS reminder for homework or an ai summary for notes in notion. Even something simple such as adding things to database.

I just created a zap that is supposed to take newly created profiles and mark them as being subscribed. I saw that this is a polled zap and waited over 15 minutes. The test profile I created is not being subscribed. Is there anything that I may be missing? Ive included a screenshot of my zap.

I'm looking for a way to send emails without having to type a body. It should just be a subject and an attachment. Both emails by zapier and outlook seems to require a body, is there any way around this?
I have been a paying customer for 3 years, I haven't made a new Zap in a year but I need to do so for a new client. I feel like a complete noob and almost all of the tools are so different than they were years ago and to be honest I find it more difficult to make anything that functions.
The other irony is that I just researched how to do my Zap here on Reddit and there are like 4 other posts with incomplete suggestions all ending with, you should hire this Zapier automation expert.
All I want to do is everyday check like 5 news websites, search for articles related to my topics, if those topics are found - put them into either an email and email me, or a Google Document. Not all the websites have RSS, so that's not easy. Also I have a paid Scraptio subscription, but I've never used it since I just got it today. Why is this so difficult? I don't want to try and examine the CSS or HTML to figure out if I should be scraping the <article> or <text>or <headline> - why is it so hard to make this happen?

I’ve configured a meta ads campaign to send lead information to a google sheets via zapier.
Every detail gets automated just fine EXCEPT for appointment time selected by the leads which I’ve mapped properly.
I know I’ve mapped properly because during testing and retests it works perfectly fine.
But when the lead completes the meta form every other detail / column gets populated just fine EXCEPT for the appointment time they selected (which again works fine if I see to select that particular record and test it, but if it comes naturally then it doesn’t work)
Any clues?

Trello Checklist Items - Zapier
I built a zap where the trigger comes from 'New Activity', because unfortunately Trello doesn't have the trigger in zapier 'When a checklist Item is completed'
The goal is to send notifications to slack which item was marked as completed, and who did it.
The thing is this has to be in a loop since it has to deal with line items of data from a csv file, because actions in trello only allows searching checklist item via name and not via ID for Christ's sake.
For more context, the slack channel is not some kind of a static channel, because it's will only be available throughout the lifetime of a card in trello. So when the trello card is archived, so as the slack channel, reason why it requires using zapier to dynamically search things around.
Need help coz every time the step searches the particular checklist item in a card, the status for whatever reason doesn't return similar to what's shown in trello. For example, even when the checklist item 1 shows completed in trello, zapier search results would return incomplete.
