chess copypasta applied to zankyō no terror?

9 accuses 5 of cheating and then...

Are you kidding ??? What the **** are you talking about man ? You are a biggest looser i ever seen in my life ! You was doing PIPI in your pampers when i was beating players much more stronger then you! You are not proffesional, because proffesionals knew how to lose and congratulate opponents, you are like a girl crying after i beat you! Be brave, be honest to yourself and stop this trush talkings!!! Everybody know that i am very good blitz player, i can win anyone in the world in single game! And "a"rata "k"okonoe is nobody for me, just a player who are crying every single time when loosing, ( remember what you say about Tōji ) !!! Stop playing with my name, i deserve to have a good name during whole my chess carrier, I am Officially inviting you to OTB blitz match with the Prize fund! Both of us will invest 5000$ and winner takes it all!

I suggest all other people who's intrested in this situation, just take a look at my results in 2016 and 2017 Blitz World championships, and that should be enough... No need to listen for every crying babe, 5 is always play Fair ! And if someone will continue Officially talk about me like that, we will meet in Court! God bless with true! True will never die ! Liers will kicked off...

please edit to make it more zankyō no terror (eg replacing 2016 and 2017 blitz world with something else)

p.s. 9 response: You got yourself a deal man. Anytime, anywhere as long as there is proctoring.

let's talk about terror in resonance.

hi all, I've been trying to find a place to post about my personal thoughts, and well here I am,, well anyways, hello I'd like to share my takeaway from terror in resonance. before I do, I want to clear some things up --

  1. I genuinely don't know how factual anything apart of the show (ost, etc) is factual due to the lack of info around the show.
  2. this is just my interpretation of the show

I'd like to start by talking of the soundtrack, and the fact that it was allegedly released a day before the actual show was. again, I haven't clue if this is true because I cannot find the original/official playlist due to it being restricted in my country. the significance of this is that the creator ( Shinichirō Watanabe ) most likely didn't think the show would do well compared to his other creations. it's known that soundtracks are released before shows/movies to intrigue people to watch the show, and from what I've seen this method somewhat worked, reviews of the show say that the soundtrack was obscure and completely different from anything they've seen so they naturally gave it a watch but, most of them, ended up dropping the show. Although, I think the reason the soundtrack was released early was that the show was being aired at an anime expo//

Now let's talk about the actual significance of the soundtrack. I think we can all agree that the soundtrack is different, in fact, it's one like no other. Yoko Kanno created compelling music for so many anime, music that's loved by so many people because it's simply loveable. Kanno has this amazing ability to truly capture the beauty of a show, and arguably transfer that beauty to one of the most beautiful things in the world, music so why is it not on any music platforms officially? I mean she has worked on other shows with Shinichirō Watanabe before (cowboy bebop) and official soundtracks for cowboy bebop have been posted on major platforms so what was different about this soundtrack? It's a lingering question I've had for such a long time, although it may not seem directly connected to the show, it really is. I truly believe that this music that Kanno created was made to represent the music 9 always listened to, the music from "a cold land" and to have no official publications of the song (from what I know of) seems symbolic of how hidden away the two boys were from society. Although I have come to the conclusion that the show had too much backlash and they decided to not release any official music for some reason? Although I really don't enjoy this conclusion, it makes the most sense. Even though I have weird speculation around why it was never officially released, I think everyone who has watched terror in resonance can agree that if this show didn't have this soundtrack, it would have been lacking so much and I truly believe that in itself is interesting to think about due to the severity of difference found in the soundtrack.

red, white, and blue; now I'm not talking about what your all most likely thinking about (America) I'm talking about how each remaining child from the institute that they were raised in// this is definitely not the right word considering the abuse they endured but oh well//. nine's wrist band, and watch, twelve's belt, and five's nail polish in the first scene we see hair all have red white, and blue in them so what is this flag, well I'd like to say that the flag starts with blue, proceeds to white, and ends with blue so it's not Netherlands, France, Luxemburg, and although Yugoslavia has the correct order of colors, there is a star in the middle, but think it's safe to it's from a European country, and I strongly believe that this country is Iceland? there is so much evidence to back up, von, the word, is a main pivotal point in the show and is the Icelandic word for hope, and Iceland is referred to as the land of fire and ice, and for the sake of the show I think nine refers to it as the "cold land". another thing to add is if you listen to any piano music from Iceland ( I really like this piece Hania Rani — 'F Major' (Official Video) [Gondwana Records] ) you can feel and hear the similarities in music to the terror in resonance soundtrack. so there is definitely significance of Iceland in the show, I mean I can't find any Iceland child experiments but I'll look into it.

I don't know who else will agree with me on this but I'm petty sure Lisa's dad was the guy who got too close to the child institution thing, you know Shibazaki's buddy the one who committed suicide. That would explain why Lisa's mom screams "don't leave me like your father did," all the time, not to mention all the crazy texts Lisa receives from her own mom, however, 12 never fails to point out Lisa's eyes and how they are like the ones of the kids at the institute which leads me to believe Lisa's dad put her in the institute, maybe one he confirmed it was real, I mean Shibuzaki mentioned he got too close to it maybe he did, and he put his kid into the institution because he had some status, and soon learned more about the institution and the horrible things they did to those kids. This would explain one, why Lisa is sick and faints, and two why her dad killed himself; because he couldn't take how he put his child in that institution, it drove him to madness, to kill himself. It's just something I thought about while watching the show and it connects some dots, like why Shibuzaki and Lisa still stayed in touch after nine and twelve died.

Anyways, I hope someone sees this, and if someone does please share your theories with me. I would love to get all the input could to decode the meaning of this all.

thanks, jonezy.

(spoilers) Just finished the anime. Some questions.

I just finished it and damn, was it dark. I feel bad for the kids, giving themselves up at a young age just to exposea dirty deed of the government. But I haven't been able to understand, like, what was killing them? What made Five weak? Why did Nine have ringing in his ears? And wtf were the people behind the Athena programme thinking? Also, why the bombings? Like, they could have got attention (which they did) with just 1-2 bombings. Why did they go as far as stealing and blowing up an atom bomb? Answers appreciated.

SPOILERS: Question about the ending

Just finished the show. It was pretty good, but imo the weakest of Watanabe's original anime.

I just have one question about the ending though: Why did the American government kill Twelve but leave Shibazaki alive?

More details: We see the American government official in charge say that they had to kill anyone who was aware of America's involvement in the actions that Five took in Japan (like the airport incident) and that the detective should be left alive so he could push the heat onto the Japanese government.

But wasn't Shibazaki aware of the American government's involvement too?? He knew that Five let the bomb go off on the train, impersonated Sphinx and planted a bomb in the airport, and he directly defied her orders, the latter leading to his indefinite suspension. He was the one who broke the entire story to the world, yet at the end of the show we only hear about the remaining members of the Athena Project being sentenced and media across the world scrutinizing the Japanese government, while the American government seemingly got off scott free.

Why did the Americans even bother attacking Nine and Twelve? Those two had no beef with the Americans other than Five, and if they had ever mentioned her impersonation of them and her planting the bomb then the American government could easily claim that she was a rogue agent (especially since they were planning on killing her for insubordination anyways).

So, why did the Americans want to leave a detective who clearly knew about their involvement behind?

Question about the Ending

I just finished watching Zankyou no Terror and I’m more than disappointed about the ending.

To me, it felt cheap that they just killed off Twelve and Nine at the end. It made no sense to my friend and I and we are just wondering if there’s something we are missing since everyone else seems heartbroken over it.

Why did Nine just drop dead then so conveniently? There was no explanation for that. We knew him and Twelve were going to both die eventually but there were little to no hints that he was that far gone already. And it seemed a little too convenient that he died RIGHT after Twelve was shot.

And then it felt like they shot Twelve just for a shock factor. I don’t understand it. I teared up a little initially but was then just confused.

I understand the themes are sad and interesting but to me this was a cheap and rushed ending and I can’t even pretend to be sad about it.

Can anyone tell me the song that plays during episode 3?

In episode 3, when Shibuzaki first talks about growing up as a child in Hiroshima and theres the flashback. Theres a song playing in the background which is just a guitar as far as I can tell.

I've looked through all the OST and couldn't find it anywhere - is it just an unreleased piece of background music?

EDIT:

I found the track, it’s just called Shibuzakis past and it is indeed unreleased! Not sure where this person found it: https://youtu.be/56UDa2NGY4g

Opinion on zankyou no terror //spoiler//

The ending was pretty obvious from the beginning i knew that they both will die at some point and im sure anyone who watched it knew as well, i think shinichiro himself made it obvious like he didnt focus on anything but the message he tried to deliver and that just proved one thing that is the world is cruel but humans are crueler.
