Price fluctuations occur all of the time in Yugioh. I propose that we use this thread to predict trends in the Yugioh market. What cards will jump in price? What cards will drop in price? Which sets are worth buying or selling?
No one can know for sure what will be the best deck, counter, or tech or which cards will become expensive overnight, but this is a thread to bring old cards to the light that may be useful and possibly overlooked currently.

Use a variety of sites to find value of cards.
YugiohPrices is a good site to look at the trend of a card's price over time.
eBay is also a good place to start
Predictions are hard because you have to know what a large number of people will be willing to pay for before it happens.
Here are a few tips:
1) People will pay for the top deck!
2) If an unusual card is used in the main or side deck of the number one deck in a YCS or regionals, it will go up in price.
3) Higher rarity cards will most likely raise in price more, because of lower circulation and because many players want to show off a bit.
4) Cards released in only a few sets will raise in price more, especially if they are older sets. This is because they are less likely to be circulating.
5) look at peoples deck lists for decks that will come out, cards that meet many of the other criteria will jump in price the most.
The last thing is use your intuition! If you have a feeling about a card, you may be right, and it just hasn't been discovered yet by the Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament scene.

So yeah,
Trying to figure out when the new Ultra Rares came out, with the hollow looking star count of monsters, or the little spell icon being hollow,
I know Duel Overload and Battle of Legends have them, googling it tells me that Duelist Saga has new Ultra Rare Tech but looking at YouTube those cards don't have hollow stars, CED-JUMP promo does...
Any help appreciated.
Hello, I've got a buddy with a very successful card shop who buys cards for 50% value in cash or 70% in store credit. 50% is very low but he still has people come in cashing out on their collections daily. Most people I see online won't sell their cards for less than 80% value. So, as a reseller, what is an appropriate % to buy at to make the act of reselling worth it without offending the seller?
Looking for the following cards and want to know the prices -
Not looking for heavy play or anything. I don't mind a few scratches on lightly played!
Thanks!
Are Duel Terminal cards worth more or less than the 1st Ed/Limited copy?
Does anyone know a reasonable price for SDY 1st ed Man-Eater bug? It's common but NM, but I couldn't find any price for the same condition in usual places.
I am trying to trade but I didn't want to rip off the other trader.
I found my old duel disk that I used to play with when I was 5. I was wondering if it was still worth something? It has signs that it has been played with (paint missing) and I don't have the box anymore. if this post doesn't belong here, does anybody know somewhere better to post this? Because I'm kind of a yugioh-newbie.
I’m not really sure where to place this question, this would be my first post here so I apologize in advance if this isn’t what this sub is for.
I am looking for a good place to buy older sealed 1st ed booster packs. I want to start at the beginning with LOB. The problem is that the only 2 places that have it are selling it for [Ebay: $400] and [TCGplayer: $500+]. At that rate, I might as well buy the booster box for the $10,000 or less and sell the majority of the packs making my money back....
Let me first say, LOB is not an easy set to get your hands on unless you’re willing to pay out the nose. I get it, but are there other purchasing options out there where you can reliably get older Yugioh packs for a fair price? $400 seems steep, especially with the incredibly high likelihood that the packs have been scaled.
Does anyone have any advice or a good sight for sealed product?
Such as specific pull ratios, what booster packs aren't mappable/scalable, etc. All I see is some youtubers having current set pull ratios, but I feel yugioh would have some kind of statistics on what older product are good
Can't find anywhere if Toon Kingdom will be apart of the Toon Chaos booster set or not. Right now it's just under 30 on tcgplayer. Should I sell it now or will the price get a boost after Toon Chaos hits?
What do the terms in parenthesis mean on tcgplayer? For example, some cards have (A), (B), (C), etc, while others might have colors like (Blue) in the name.
I mostly collect pokemon and I know of some misprints that are worth a few Bob, I have this copy of mirror force (pgld-en059) with an odd print of the name, any clue on value above $3?
I recently noticed that the card Radian the multidimensional kaiju has doubled in price. Does anyone know what brought this on specifically?
Are the prices gonna go up or down? Pls help
Was thinking about buying some boxes of Photon Shock wave 1st Ed boxes to hold and then sell later down the line. Maybe open 2 or 3, but keep the rest to sell. Would PS be a good set to invest in? What sets do you guys recommend holding on to? Anything from 5D’s to current
Which cards do u think are worth investing in (I'm specifically interested in penny stocks) , and when is the moment to buy them, waiting for a week or more? Talking about EU market, I'm italian
What’s market for one of these today? Saw $2.8k on the PSA website, but those prices seem to be generally inflated. Thanks!
Anyone know where I can get legendary Deck II 1st Ed???
I see the TCG market value is $999 but what can I REALLY get for it? If i sold it for $800 would it go quickly?
Hey guys, long time card game player but just got into playing YGO seriously (previously jus causally buying, but no playing). My question is, when is it the best time to purchase singles off of TCG player. For magic, cards are usually most expensive right after release, then after a few weeks when more packs are opened and singles flood the market, the prices start to drop. Specifically I’m looking to get some of the sought after reprints in next weeks duel overload release
However, I’m not sure how YGO is because there are several differences, between the card games and also with duel overload, the cards I’m looking at are reprints and not new cards. Any thoughts ?
Also in terms of buying boxes, at what price point do you guys feel like it’s worth gambling to open boxes. I know that opening boxes in general for most card games is a loss and it’s better to purchase singles. With with the Value of some cards these days I almost feel like gambling. Would you do it if the boxes are around 60? Or is that still too high ?
Thanks for the help!
I have 3x right now near mint. Was gonna build a Shadoll Invoked deck. However I'm torn on whether they will get banned.
So...... Please give a Buy, Hold, or Sell. Most votes wins!
Hey guys, been some years since I played the game but used to be really into collecting when I was younger and have always had a stardust dragon ghost rare 1st edition in a card pocket kinda thing because it looked really cool. Found out recently that it may be worth something, and was wondering if anyone could help me out with some info, sorry if this isn't the right place to post this!!

Back admittedly has some scratches on and is not mint condition sadly, but was still curious!
Anybody know if there is a way to get japanese cards (namely uncensored/unreleased artworks) easily, like through tcgplayer? Sorry if this a redundant post, haven't found a good source besides scalped cards on amazon or ebay
Trying to sell them for $155 shipped Joey and $125 shipped Pegasus or $270 shipped together. Looks like my prices are lowest on eBay but want to make sure I’m pricing right. Thanks!
I just pulled a Thunder Dragonhawk Mispront from Gold Sarcophagus. The lettering is just a little messed up.
The card itself is only worth ~$3. What can I realistically get for it?
Just wondering the value of it because when I looked it up the price was all over the place.
thanks.
