r/starwars_model_senate is a new political simulation set just after the destruction of Deathstar II at the Battle of Endor. We are simulating the formation of the New Republic and its policies, while trying to dismantle the Empire. Each player plays as a Representative of a Star Wars world.

We do a whole bunch of worldbuilding, collaborative storeytelling and just really want to tell a good story together. Only way we win, if we've all had fun with the story! If you want to see our work come check out r/model_holonet !

Every few weeks the events team puts foward in-universe events which must be dealt with. Players also have the opportunity to debate, create and vote on legislation as members of the New Republic. Players can also create press (like interviews, character backgrounds, reports, posters) and campaign material.

Every few months, we have elections to the Senate, which determine which parties have control over the Senate, and who can form Government. The main action of the Simulation takes place on r/starwars_model_senate, and its associated other subreddits, but our Discord also serves as a hub for coordinating, chatting and general community activities outside the more stuffy confines of the subreddit.

You are "Saxon" a clone of the 41st elite corps.

you lead a devastated ISP speeder column behind enemy lines and reached a wookiee village.

Since then you've encounter a vulture droid, transport units, staps, an at-ap, and wookiees.

last episode a you went to check out the ruins of a crashed republic gunship where you were ambushed.

While your arc-170 encountered a vulture droid on the 6 of v-wing

the decisions were to retreat, and to help the v-wing.

The game is already a few turns in, here is a synopsis of whats happened so far

You are "Saxon" Leader of an ISP speeder column in Kashyyyk. So far... You ventured up the mountain to come face to face with a vulture droid. You all quickly hide and the droid moved on.

You all descended the mountain, found a visor for one of your squad mates, and began making your way up river.

On the river you encounter a droid transport. You all ducked in the water after you set explosives. The transport passed over you then blew up.

You continued up the river to find a muddy meadow and a wookiee observation post.

You chose to inspect the wookiee tower to see if you could make contact with the wookiees.

You crossed a bridge and witnessed an AT-AP battling 2 staps. You also found the wookiee chief, who passed out from exhaustion. But before he mentioned a sinister droid canon emplacement.

One of your squad takes out a stap as you take cover in a wookiee village.

(Because RP in this era has never really been done before, I'm going to make it logical. Sticking with planets in the show so we have an idea of what's going on. You can be a Jedi survivor, just have a back story. Or be a smuggler, rebel, Imperial, civilian. This will take place before Malachor. The story of course will differ to keep things entertaining as we progress, our actions will affect the future)

[Open space - near Lothal] [Imperial raider - Strike] [Imperial Cmdr Gryten] The Imperial raider class Strike, sister ship to the Corvis loomed over the traffic lanes of Lothal. It's built in receded turborlasers held energy at the ready to open up on any ship that may make a run for it, after seeing their presence. It's compliment of special forces TIE fighters highly modified from imperial standard stood at the ready in the hanger Bay. Unlike most imperial vessels, the Strike was allowed major alterations to standard imperial protocol.

She carried a different configuration from the Corvis. With heightened rebel activity in the area she had been called in to assist with security in the sector. Reports of clone troopers infiltrating imperial forces, imperial defectors, and of course the Jedi. All of this weighed on Grytens mind. Little was known about Gryten his record being sealed, his helmet never removed in front of those he didn't trust. His choice of weapons wasn't even known.

He looked up from his train of thought on the bridge to hear the sound of an alert. There was an incoming vessel dropping from hyperspace, it wasn't on the schedule the imperial forces imposed on the sector. "which ship is that?" He asked his tactical officer. Walking closer to the station.
