For s7 e12 it says George is getting a new job offer. It is very possible he dies at the end or at the start of the next episode . I personally think it is an NFL or College Football job as he was mostly a coach

So we've established Jerry O'Connell as present-day Georgie, but Mandy wasn't introduced until well after TBBT ended, so we have no idea what she'd look like in the present day. It would have to be a blonde woman who would be around sixty or so today.

My idea was Gail O'Grady. You might remember her from NYPD Blue, American Dreams, and a few other things. She's already worked on another Chuck Lorre show: she played Candy's mom in a couple of episodes of Two and a Half Men (and coincidentally, her name on that show was Mandy as well).

I'd love it if either YS or the new show did some flash-forward scene where Jim Parsons, Laurie Metcalf, Courtney Henggeler, Jerry O'Connell, and Gail O'Grady appeared as present day Sheldon, Mary, Missy, Georgie, and Mandy (debatable whether Connie would still be with us today).

It’s annoying that they are mean to Sheldon. This should stop.

I personally think the show runners are going to bring his story full circle and that he’s going to die in episode 13. In season 1, episode 3 he has his first and only heart attack. Season 1, episode 3 and season 7 episode 13, a two parter with episode 14 being the finale?! I think it’s too much of a coincidence. He’ll probably have a heart attack and pass from it.

I just caught up with season 7 to bring myself up to date.

I’m rewatching old episodes of young Sheldon and I is it finished the episode where an old woman manipulates Georgie into helping her run errands and do yard work.

I found the woman to be annoying and entitled. It was horrible that she automatically assumed Georgie would help her with putting all of those plants in her garden. I would never dream of asking a complete stranger to do so much work for me especially when they were nice enough to give me a ride multiple times. She had a granddaughter so I’m not sure why she had to rely on Georgie to do so much work for her when she could just have her granddaughter help.

What did you think about the old woman?

He shows up, alive in Season 5 of The Big Bang Theory as Jimmy Speckerman, Leonard's bully! The truth has been staring at us in the face all along!

He probably had to go through witness protection and had to change his identity to a high school bully. The funeral of the person in the finale is for someone else whose murder George witnessed and the FBI put him under witness protection. Sheldon saw this guy die and mistook him for his father just like how he mistook Mary in a wig and costume as someone else!

We did it guys! The mysteries been solved! All those years of people posting "Hey! Sheldons dad is Leonards bully" over and over again were right all along!

My predictions for the last few episodes:

• Sheldon says goodbye to family and heads to Caltech (kinda obvious)
• George Sr. does in fact die, and the funeral aftermath
• Episode Memoir is probably the aftermath of Sheldon’s dad’s passing and Sheldon being at Caltech and in a sense fills in the blank time of his time at Caltech up until meeting Leonard, Howard, and Raj and makes small account of his time and feelings of being at Caltech and how he dealt with stuff. Since it’s called Memoir, this is probably a book he’s writing after winning his Nobel prize (remember when Meemaw told Missy and Georgie to be nice to him because one day he might write a book about his life and to be nice if they wanted a chapter about themselves in there lol) hence why Jim and Mayim are making an appearance.
• probably adds in a line or two about how he wasnt there for his family after his dad’s death and his brother Georgie had to be there, maybe like a brief glimpse/teaser of the new show.

YS has made me so exhausted from this couple that i’m not even looking forward to the spin off (i wasn’t in general but shoving them in our face for 2 seasons did not help). i’ve also felt so disconnected from the other characters because of how centric it is around georgie & mandy. so i’m not even invested enough in THOSE characters to want to continue either. imo, season 7 is absolutely terrible and i’m sad this is how the show is ending. it doesn’t even feel like a goodbye to young sheldon, just a launch for the spin-off. (no hate this is my opinion)

Not Georgie and definitely not Mandy ever really enjoyed the spotlight. The only reason that YS became so successful is because Sheldon was one of the 3-4 leads in TBBT. And gradually though 12-13 years Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard all managed to get enough spolight on them for a spinoff - especially Sheldon and Leonard. But Georgie, Missy, Mandy are not really the leads. Sheldon was the only lead for 6-7 seasons with barely any content based on Georgie, Missy, forget Mandy.

It does not make any sense to base a new series just on Georgie and Mandy without Missy, Mary at least if not Sheldon since he will be in college which will be a hard one to shoot.

Really poor move by the creators and writers to not include the other characters which never really managed the spotlight. Dale, Connie, Mary, Missy should be frequently shown too only then does it make any sense, in which case it will be Young Sheldon but with George and Mandy in the lead.

I know people will say "Dont watch then" but I will be watching just because it is a sequel to a show I enjoyed.

From the BBT we know she is a waitress and has been married once, what else does she do? I feel she isnt gonna do much in life as she has an aversion to school and we dont see her having any other talent or hobbies? What do you think?

I’m convinced everyone in this sub are children and just have a thing for Georgie. I see way too many posts on here praising him and saying he was the best character when he’s quite literally done nothing but make horrible decisions his whole life. He dropped out of high school one year away from graduating, was such a brat to his parents constantly. He started working at his grandmas illegal gambling operation, moved into his parents garage, lied about his age, got a 29 year old pregnant and then almost totally uprooted his whole family because of this mistake. His mom lost her job and their family got shunned by the whole community. Then they spend a good amount of time both leaching off the coopers until they can make their way. To be fair the adults around him seem to be super irresponsible themselves so no wonder he ended up like this. This show should just be called Young Georgie at this point cause the plot just totally revolves around him and Mandy now. Also I’m sorry but nothing is “cute” about a 30 year old woman with this barely 18 YEAR OLD. It’s actually just gross if you think about it.

I have derived these conclusions from watching the Big Bang Theory twice. Many of the events are very clearly linked in both the series.

George Sr will die towards the end of Season 7 on Young Sheldon.

Georgie will run the Tires business along with his father in law or after his father in law retires. He will go on to make it very big in the Tire business and will end up a rich businessman.

Sheldon will perhaps not continue much on the spinoff show anymore and will head soon to Caltech. If they want to show his experience in Caltech then he will continue otherwise we will be bidding Sheldon Cooper goodbye finally.

There is no conclusion derivable about Missy, however she will also leave the house in a few years and Mary and Connie will continue to be alive for a long time in some house in texas a little away from Mary.

Does anyone know whether the old cast members will be featuring in the new spinoff series? Will we have Sheldon, Missy, Mary and the old cast with Georgy and Mandy in the lead like how Sheldon was in the lead during Young Sheldon?

Georgie is underage, 17 year old high school dropout. Mandy got impregnated by him yet didn't face any legal consequences? Of course, a 17 year old is close to 18 years old, but you get the idea.

Not even slight consequences? I was confused on why no one was questioning her on a regular basis.

End of this season Sheldon will be off to college. So if Young Sheldon was to continue they would need to show his college life. Which will be a different world and establishing new characters again. Because young Sheldon is supposed to be about Sheldon. We are already feeling he's sidelined in last few episodes. And especially since Georgie and Mandy. Whether it was intentional, I don't know.

Given that all the characters from Young Sheldon already got liking from viewers, makers are right to think that going forward the viewers will be more interested to know what happens back home than Sheldons college life.

Whether they do a good job of it or not, we can't tell now. Expectations are high. But a bet worth taking imo.

I’ve watched Star Trek for as long as I can remember and Star Trek Voyager most of all. This time I noticed that the Harry Starling in the episodes Futures End 1&2 looked and sounded familiar. I looked it up and he’s Dr linkletter just 30 years younger!

I hope they at least execute George Sr’s death well. I’ve always felt bad for him in the show and I think he’s a great character, being nothing like how Sheldon and Mary depicted him in TBBT.

I just wanna hear everyone’s opinions on their relationship! I always preferred Dr. Sturgis for Connie but enjoyed Dale as a character. Their relationship was really fun! This season, it really doesn’t seem like they like each other, so I just want to know how others feel about them!

I’m a bit late but I really need to know! So basically George Sr never cheated on Mary sexually? It was Mary in that German outfit that Sheldon mistook for someone else, right? RIGHT?

They have had trouble but I’d like to believe they didn’t cheat on each other physically. (They already did emotionally, soooooo)

Why is this last season feel so weird, most sitcom last seasons are very bad and rushed i really hoped this would be different with ys but that aint the case. Take todays (yesterdays for USA) episode the show feels split into families like Modern Family but this doesnt work with YS i have no idea why but it just doesnt.
This season is also very focused on Georgie and Mandy idk why producers choose to do this we are already getting a show just about them which is a bad idea imo. Why cant we focus on the cooper family more, like today Missy had total of 10 words max. This is crazy considering she is one of the main characters. This is also the case with Sheldon he has such a small amount of role in this season, in fact if Missy and Sheldon was removed there would be 0 changes to the plot. This is crazy, this is their last season why would you not have screen time of these characters instead of Georgie and Mandy whom will have their OWN TV SERIES!
