I know this is discussed a million times. I don't believe Sheldon was treated special more than he needed and was the golden child to a fault. I feel the parents and Meemaw loved all kids equally. The proof is despite Georgie dopping out of school and getting Mandy pregnant the parents supported them even when Mary was kicked out of church. George and Mary both tried to bond with Missy (like a girls day when Sheldon and Georgie went with George to see the rocket launch), barbie trophy for Missy, Mary knowing heather M and heather B and the drama. And George teaching Missy baseball and going to red lobster on being nudged by mary. However, I feel they were to light with parentign Gerogie and Missy in some instances. Like they are ok with Georgie being obsessed with girls and his marks dropping/him dropping out, also there are many instances where they are rude to Georgie and call him dumb for no reason. I do not agree to that. Also they don't see that Missy has no hobbies and interests apart from chasing boys. Like sure she isn't interested in school and its fine- not all kids like academics but neither parents think of another future career for Missy. I feel the attention falls on Sheldon for his unique needs and without Sheldon being vocal about his interest in science and his talents- had it not been for Mary it would have fallen under the radar and George wouldn't have picked up/did something different for Sheldon to excel. I think overall the Cooper parenting is very mild and laid back- they kind of passive parent only when someone does something wrong.
Voila it is complete! Thoughts?
The series was recently released, and I see divided criticism. Part hates everything, from the opening to each of the characters, the tomb and the cameras. Some like some things, but criticize others, anyway. I'm watching the series, I eagerly await new episodes, I really like the series, but when I read the reviews I understand people's point. Some complain about the camera, I think that's a question of proposal, but I really think that the "background laughs" are better suited to multi-cam. Many complain about the tomb, that it always appears every time the comedy stops in the series. Although I agree with the fact that this tomb plot is going to be repetitively bad, a good part of the series needs to be based on mourning for George, as that is what distances Marry and gives weight between the members of the Cooper family: the weight of mourning for George Sr. I also see criticism about George's mother-in-law. About her comedy being meaningless and her being simply irritating, unlike Connie, who played with George Sr., but had a playful weight. But I think that's a matter of a different comedy. Connie didn't hate George, but George II's mother-in-law practically hates him, so the tone isn't joking. And there are still criticisms of the opening, but honestly, I really liked it. Even with this stereotypical tone, I think Young Sheldon itself has this tone, that is, it's funny anyway. Still, I'd like to know what people on the sub think about it.
Mary: Make sure that everyone knows you're Georgie's brother, so no one could hurt you. Sheldon: But Mom, if they knew i am his brother, they'd hurt him. Mom: That's the plan.
Who started great ended great
She always feels ignored by everyone and yes she can can a little annoys at times but she wants someone to love her and George is rude often to her and Sheldon and missy and such as Georgie often ignore her too. They never really show her love alot and she's just tryna get through life but when her husband died she was still grieving and people were pushing eh to go to things and missy getting into trouble isn't good for her anyways. She's alone and she doesn't deverse that. What's are your thoughts?
My apologies if this has been bought up a million times before but the resemblance/mannerisms with both Penny and Mandy is uncanny!!! I love it!
Who started great ended ok
Sheldon is a spoiled brat that thinks of no one but himself. We all know that.
I personally thought he was tolerable in the earlier seasons (1-4) but after that he just became more bratty and spoiled. I’m glad he became more of a side character by the later seasons. All the other characters are a whole of a lot better than Sheldon could EVER be. I do like how Mary is treating Sheldon in S7 though (I’m only on S7 E5), making him less spoiled.
Sorry for the rant. Had to get this out :/
If after watching an episode of Young Sheldon, you’re guaranteed to die a month sooner, would you still watch the show?
When does this whole everybody almost cheats wants to cheat storyline finally stop? Im at season6ep3 and I hate it. I'm really against cheating, and I know they won't cheat on eachother, so (if it does end) when will the storyline finally get over this?
Hiya
I'm at the end of season 5, and it seems like the main storypoint(meaning like 90% of scenes revolve around georgie and mandy) are about the baby etc. Question is, will this thing last? I am all for it, for me I think the show got a little stale around season 4, and honestly, I'd love if georgie was to become more of a main charachter instead of a side. I also think this is much more intresting then sheldon being smart for the 19th time.(don't get me wrong, I like him, but he was starting to become annoyingly robotish)
I just started watching TBBT and now it's ending this month on netflix. Can I watch it after expiry if I download all seasons? I didn't like it at first but now I am soo into it.

In s5 e11 Connie's power goes out but she still calls george. Thoughts?
Well, I guess I’m a glutton for punishment. I knew George died in this season and I knew it was going to rip my heart out having lost my dad recently. But I loved this series so much and had to have the closure. I watched all of season 7 today and sobbed like a baby at the end.
I’m not a tv watcher and especially don’t get attached to series very often but this one has been such a joy. I loved the 80’s/90’s scenes and the whole cast was just perfect.
Guess now I need to watch BBT. 😅
So Sheldon why yes was rude about it he necessarily wasn’t wrong not wanting his mom to go around college with him and why yes this episode shows everything goes wrong for Sheldon when his mom isn’t around it’s honestly why I dislike this episode throughout the show it’s always been about Sheldon needing to grow up and be independent then this episode reinforces that he apparently needs his mom to do everything for him
Easy choice for me. Mary hiding the acceptance letter from caltech. Not getting a response from Sheldon probably made him look bad, and he got lucky he managed to get in.
Was little Bobbi Jo a fever dream? I remember one episode where Mary and Brenda were arguing about the kids and Mary said Billy was special hinting that Billy was Brenda‘s only kid. they no you never hear a Bobbi J or anything after the bullying episode.
