Stay whelmed.
This subreddit is for discussion, news, fan content, and shitposts related to a TV series called 'Young Justice'.
The series follows the lives of teenage heroes and sidekicks who are members of a fictional covert operation group referred to simply as 'the team'. Young Justice is essentially a young counterpart to the famous adult team, the Justice League. The main setting is a fictional universe apart from the previous DCAU and other continuities (designated as Earth-16) during a time period in which superheroes are a relatively recent phenomenon.
Flair anything (Even teasers) that hasn't aired yet with the right flair.

Why Superboy will be the greatest hero of all time (In Young Justice universe). As we see in season 4 through the Legion of Super-Heroes: The size of the legacy that Connor Kent left behind, even hundreds of years after his death, one of the greatest groups of heroes of the future were inspired by his figure and his actions, with the one that marked the construction of the Legion being made by Superboy in 2030, Happy Harbor, may 14 on 12:00.
What could he have done that day that would have been so impactful? I, like many here, must think of an obvious answer: Overthrow the Light and Darkseid. It is very obvious to say how impactful and destructive these two forces have been throughout the entire universe and Superboy being the person responsible for finally putting an end to this would also make several alien races finally achieve a greater connection with Earth for good (As the Justice League is still trying to rebuild its image after Vandal used them).
But HOW WOULD SUPERBOY do that? After all, he's not one of the strongest on the team, not even close. Zatanna, Blue Beetle, Superman, Megan and other Heroes being considerably stronger than him in several aspects. And look, many of those above couldn't even fight close to someone like Darkseid... So, HOW?! Simple... I would like to point out 2 very important aspects of Connor that have not been fully explored.
• Genomorph: In the beginning of everything, He was created with the purpose of being a weapon, just like his other brothers. Several of these have flying abilities, telekinesis, electricity, etc...
• Meta-gene: It's often interesting to think about how much Connor relates to this... Especially when he's taken away in season 3 and begins to undergo experiments to see if they can awaken something in him, but ends up being stopped...
In the end, I believe that Superboy will end up awakening his meta-gene thanks to adverse situations, finally releasing his tactical telekinesis that would allow him to compensate for everything, including his weaknesses to Kryptonite and prevent direct magic attacks. Thanks to all these years of pure training and high level of knowledge in martial arts and sciences would also make him extremely capable of improvising, creating spectacular ways to use the tactical telekinesis in a powerful way.
"What would Superman do?"
"He would fight for those who cannot fight. He would protect everyone. He would bring hope. Light? Darkseid? Kryptonians? No matter who it is, I can't back down now when these people most need me. I will fight for them all."
Just imagine him facing an army of Kryptonians, Darkseid and Klarion. Initially being alone, but not caring about his disadvantage, little by little the more people think he will fall, that he won't be able to handle it... Superboy, you don't have to hurt yourself so much, please... Stop. But he doesn't stop. Then... his friends begin to arrive, starting to take out the Kryptonians from above Connor, several magic users like Zatanna begin to arrive, giving problems to Klarion and other magical opponents and then, villains like Ice Jr. start to arrive, also wanting to help and even take these dangerous villains out of the scene... Finally, Vandal and Darkseid vs. Connor. The ones who brought so much evil, so much suffering... Several other Kryptonians also see Connor's strength and leadership, the support he receives from Superman and Supergirl, Those who are freed from mind control begin to fight against their brothers and help the heroes. Superboy would then put an end to Vandal and Darkseid's era of terror, placing them in prison forever for they crimes against universal peace.
Kid Flash: Well he’s going to need a name. Uh How’s about Krypto? Wolf: growls Superboy: Pass Miss Martian: Besides isn’t that taken?
So from this interaction we can confirm that a Kryptonian dog named Krypto does exist in the Young Just universe but we’ve never seen him is the a reason or did the writers just forget?
Or maybe he doesn’t exist still don’t get why the writers decided to change the name Krypto to Wolf for this version Wolf is not that cool of a name TBH
I have yet to watch season 3 and I'm not sure if I will. I figured the first two we're probably the best it will get. I didn't want to sour or disappoint myself but do you think it's worth the watch or should I just not check it out?
I don’t think orphan can’t speak. In season 4 episode 7 at the beginning I clearly heard her saying something but I couldn’t make it out.
If they introduced more characters in future seasons who would you want to see and how would you want them integrated into the show?
What do you think happens in the future of this universe. We know that eventually the Legion will form and protect the universe but what about before that.
We know that characters age and step down. Aquaman stepped down for Kaldur could step up. Dick went from Robin to Nightwing. Heroes are starting families (I.e Superman, Flash, etc) or getting married (Superboy/ Miss Martian).
So what does this universe look like as time goes on. Any and all headcannons/ theories are welcome
What if after all the trauma that Superboy went through in season 4 stressed his body enough that it starts to “grow”.
I’m not suggesting he gets full kryptonian powers, but maybe he gets stronger and more durable and some other increases like speed and senses.
If they end up doing a fifth season, they shouldn’t use the model they used in season four. I understand the importance of A plots, B plots and C plots but season four took it to an unnecessary level of splitting up the story. season three was really good about splitting up the story by utilizing different teams, but during that season, it was groups of people that they were focusing on rather than one person with a whole bunch of side characters. And it’s a matter of when they do season five not if.
When I watched the episode where Superboy ran out of Luthor's shields, I honestly thought he should have gone to Batman or anyone who is capable of making something similar to what Luthor made.
Although it made him angrier, someone probably could have made something similar that doesn't make him super angry.
Either way, he's still a really good character.
They know where the shadows are hiding but they never think to go invade and arrest everyone. That’s like the US knowing a terrorist organization location and leaving them alone. I know in season 3 Luthor had the League’s hands tied but what about previous seasons
When super boy was in the Phantom zone. When you're having hallucinations, everybody was normal, but when kid flashed showed up. It was the distortion effect. So my question is, is he still alive?
We see how his death affected Dick, Artemis, and the whole team but barely see Flash mention him or at least feel a little guilt. Especially given they were partners for years and they’re literally related through Iris. I mean we see he’s distraught immediately after he’s evaporated but after that nothing. Supes knew Connor for a shorter time and was heartbroken when everyone thought he was dead
Evidently some folks mistook Dick as Zachary in the previous version. Sooo no mistaking things now haah
No specific ships in mind, I like all the characters equally for the most part. Preferably no burying the guys (unless it's REALLY necessary for the story). Yeah I'd prefer longer ones but I'm good with anything. An actual plot is ideal but just general cuteness is also fine lol, thanks in advance x
For me it's Fail Safe, What's yours?
(As stated in my first ever post, I only watch season one now as the others aren't for me with my tastes anymore, so most of my posts will be season 1 focused, just to yet ya'll know.)
Mine is season 1, I don't watch the other seasons anymore as they are just not for me but season 1 is sooo good and I can't get enough.
I also love Dick Grayson as Robin both in Young Justice and Teen Titans (anyone remember that show?), so I might be a little biased.
Were there ever a situation like the psychic training mission and the original members of the team from season one were to lead any and all members of the team, who would be on what team. For example
Nightwings Team
Superboy Team
Wolf Etc
Who would fill the other spots. You can say anyone who was ever on the team
Where can I find character sheets from Young Justice Phantoms?
