Guys I have a theory. Do y'all think Ted Kord died in season 2 or did Booster Gold come from the future to rescue him from the rubble?

After like 8-9 years ive finally been able to sit down over the last week and watch the show. Fuck me its good, i also noticed as the seasons went off CN and onto HBO Max (im assuming) they allowed more gore and violence which was a good addition imo. Not here to spoil anything.

(Also glad to see a MC represent Bi men.)

Obviously the show has its issues, but i hope they come around on it (again) and let us get 1-2 more seasons. (which i doubt.)

What was the point in "killing" Wally in season 2 if they dont confirm hes dead? Like they did a whole episode just to say "hes dead! Orrrrrr is heeee heehehhehehheh

In the same episode that Vic gets all injured and nearly dead, we see Fred Bugg with two gees get a glamour charm, so surely one could’ve worked for Vic too if he was worried about how he looked (although to me he looked rad af)

Or did they do this and I forgot?

I was able to watxh S1 on Netflix, but they seemed to have removed the other seasons, I was wondering where else they had all the seasons where I don’t have to pay much

Season 2 would have better if either of these were true

-1: immediately picked up from the end of season 1 and didn’t just show it as a refresher, meaning instead of just showing it then having a long time not explained time skip that introduced 50 new members to the point where it could have just been the Teen Titans; they should have just picked up from end of season 1 and begin showing what the six that were unaccounted for did, and then showing the backstory for Rocket joining the young justice league, and then adding few more characters.

-2: they add the same characters but overtime and with backstory, and not just in one season.

At the end of season 3 when black lightning was nominated as chairperson of the league, he stared how he didn't want another situation where " good guys" turn away from the light like vandal savage, black Adam and geoforce. How does the league even know about vandal's history ( him having good intentions, being nabu's rather and so forth)

I'm honestly curious. Where the heck is Black Adam??

Like why couldn’t they just show us Jason Todd’s life as Robin in Young Justice like DC Need to stop acting like that no one cares about Jason Todd as Robin

If this isn't allowed, I'm sorry.

1. Exactly how physically tough is Vandal Savage? He waltzes into the Warworld's key chamber; is attacked by Captain Marvel, Black Canary, and Lightning; and manages to eject them all. That seems like it would be hard for Superman. Is there an indication Savage brought someone with him?
2. An in-universe logic question: why hasn't Superboy sought help to recreate the "shields" that let him temporarily go full Kryptonian? He's far more mature now than in Season 1, and the team has generally shown willingness to pursue things that seem distasteful but may be needed in an emergency (e.g., M'gann brain blasting people). Given everyone Superboy knows, there's probably someone who can copy Luthor's tech.
3. On reflection I was surprised just how many of the greater-scope threats have been based on mind control:
   1. Season 1: Starro-tech
   2. Season 2: The Reach trying to make Earthlings docile
   3. Season 3: The Anti-Life Equation
   4. Season 4 isn't about mind control overall, but there are smaller moments: Superboy reverting to Cadmus programming; Ma'alefa'ak controlling the Kaiser-Thrall.

Hello! I've finally decided to watch young justice as I wasn't allowed to watch cartoon network as a kid (going off to college and catching up on everything you missed from strict parents is a trip) and I absolutely love it. Season 1 was great. Season 2 is also starting off pretty strong since I'm starting to see a lot of the characters from the shows I did watch. My only question is, did I miss something? I remember there being a large gap in between the seasons coming out when they were aired, but the way some of the characters mention things that happen in the five year in-show gap makes me think there was a different show or something that came out in between seasons or something. Is there something else I should watch before Season 2 that fills in those five years or was everyone else a bit confused when they watched it as it aired?

I wonder for the next season if vandal savage will restart the project Kr, cloning all the kryptonians that he has captive on war world’s prison

Been a while since I opened this app but I just had a thought that I didn’t want to forget to post. Most fans want to see the formal/official introduction of Jason in the show and see how he interacts with the team and obviously Dick and the bat fam. I recently read through a TON of Jason centered comics from the past up until some of the stories he had recently in Batman Urban legends. I say this without any hate or malice for the character at all; Jason Todd imo, is one of THE most overrated characters in DC history. His best stories all have to do with how he died. He’s become a one trick story pony. Under the red hood was great, cool. Red Hood the Lost Days by Winnick was excellent (except for the bit of him sleeping w/ Talia). Red Hood & the outlaws (second run w/ Artemis & Bizzaro) is the best comic run he’s had since imo. Even that ended shortly. Heck, his stories as Robin are better for the most part. He legit is either in a story related to how he died, or he is fighting is siblings. The jokers comic w/ Babs he had I didn’t like either. I’m not just talking out of my ass here I’ve been reading comics consistently for 16 years now. DC has failed Jason as a character so I hope if this ever does get a season 5 Jason is much more than he’s been in the comics. Jason, to me, is the least interesting bat fam member. Again, all my opinion.

I’m watching the show for the first time, and I’m on season 3 episode 23. It sucks. It’s been getting worse since episode 13. It seems to me like there was a studio mandate for inclusivity, which I don’t mind at all if it’s well executed, but the writers elected to put it all in one character—Halo. Then, they brutally kill her almost every episode, emphasizing her rag-dolled dead body flopping around before she heals.

They make a point of her still wearing her hijab post resurrection, but as soon as she’s introduced, they melt her face off and have her hijab-less for half an episode. Personally, my theory is that this was to show her as “classically beautiful” by western standards, but even without that reading, it’s still weird and unnecessary. Furthermore, they have her take it off AGAIN later in the season for the evil traitor fake mother character—and she immediately gets punched in the face and chased through the apartment hijab-less. They have her come out as non-binary fairly explicitly, and it makes sense! She’s a reanimated corpse made from an alien robot, of course she wouldn’t fit in the human gender binary. But they immediately forget about it the next episode. Everyone—including her!—uses she/her pronouns to describe her. Why even do that? Focusing all the inclusivity into one character is bound to achieve nothing but create a hate following while missing the point of actually BEING diverse and is a poor choice in that light, but they also just completely disregard it. No mention of her heritage aside from simply wearing the hijab and one scene (which was really well done!) where she returns to Gabrielle’s home, and they don’t even use the most basic part of being non-binary—they/them pronouns.

It seems like at least one writer was so mad the studio told them they had to be diverse that they focused it all into Halo, and then took all their rage out on her. Aside from the constant over the top deaths, they have her cheat on Brion with Harper Row. The only lesbian kiss thus far in the show was adultery. What? The idea behind her character is so interesting, and they make her so unlikable it HAS to be on purpose, but clearly she’s not meant to be a villain.

I believe this season suffered from a combination of three things—studio interference, shitty writers, and unbridled spite from the latter towards the former. It’s a shame, because some of the ideas behind it are really good! The meta-gene, meta-trafficking, diversity in general, Beast Boy the Outsiders (terrible name though), Batman’s illuminati, and the ideas behind Halo and Brion were all really good ideas, but they were executed absolutely horrendously. Nothing is more indicative of this besides the treatment of Halo—well, that and the random massive status-quo change montage halfway through. It’s amazing that season 2 was 6 episodes shorter than the rest and obviously a little rushed at the end, but was still fairly focused, engaging, and, well, GOOD, and season 3 couldn’t achieve any of those qualities despite its full length. Amazing. Hope season 4 is better.

Edit: Completely forgot they gave Halo an anxiety disorder for exactly one episode, just like how she was non-binary for exactly one episode. Wonderful representation!

Also, I use she/her pronouns because those are the pronouns she uses in the show, and you can be non-binary and use she/her pronouns. However, I think that was a spineless decision. Her being non-binary makes sense, but why not write her to use they/them pronouns? The representation would’ve actually been representation in that case, not just checking a diversity box. My issue is not the diversity, my issue is the fact that it’s not actually diverse, it just pretends to be so.

Edit 2: I’m non-binary. Practice reading comprehension. My issue isn’t that the season is diverse, my issue is that it pretends to be. The characters are treated as vehicles for diversity, rather than characters that are diverse.

Edit 3: Do not allow corporations to appease you just by checking off diversity boxes. Poor diversity is no diversity at all, and serves only to give ammunition to the side of hate. It makes me sad that the people that should be agreeing with me are completely missing my point. You should be insulted that Halo was non-binary for one episode. You should be insulted that she has anxiety for one episode. Don’t allow these people to use your identity for profit. Representation is a necessity, but this wasn’t representation, it was exploitation.

Edit 4: Accusing the writers of bigotry was a mistake. That’s just speculation, and while I believe it, I have no proof. However, the rest of my post is true. My main issue is laid out in my previous edit.

I just wished we could've seen more of The Main Man, fighting the Justice League, Superman or anyone, I'd also wanted to see Him on how he would've reacted if He found out Forager was actually alive.

I'm thinking they would have her be a preteen to early teenager, and they would keep the whole "dad was host to a Lord of Order when he did the deed with mom, making her a Lord of Order that actually has a natural body (so no anchor/familiar)" storyline, and make her mentor, weirdly enough, be Doctor Fate.

Normally, I couldn't see Doctor Fate taking on a protégé, even one that is herself a VERY new Lord of Order, so if they don't keep the original lore, and use something more akin to one of the reboots, then I could see Shazam being her mentor. He's the only magic user I can think of that actually physically fights as well, as opposed to solely using magic, though he does so with his fists, whereas Amethyst would conjur crystal weapons.

But maybe I'm forgetting someone obvious. What do you think?
