Credits for a failed course

What happens to the credits of you fail a course?

I'm taking this course and it's beating the crap out of me. I think I might fail, all depends on the upcoming exam. This course isn't important for the rest of my program, and I'm well above the gpa requirement to stay in it.

I was just wondering, would I still get the credits if I got an E or and F, or would I get nothing?

ADMS 2320 for first year

I am in first year and have done all my required courses in first semester, except ECON 1010, which i have in winter. Along with my electives and ECON 1010, is it smart to take ADMS 2320?

Is it as bad as its rep?

CHEM 1001 Please help

If anyone has a study group, I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know. Additionally, if there are any practice exams or other study materials available, I would be very grateful for your assistance. For those who have previously taken this course, I would highly value any advice or insights you can share. If you happen to have access to last year’s exam, I kindly ask if you could provide it. Thank you in advance for your support.

Any law/criminology electives non-majors can take?

I'm a psych major and I just took a psychology and law course and for my writing in psychology course we had to pick a topic relating to psych and law. I really enjoyed these courses and I want to take more courses with similar content to see if that's an area I might be interested in for the future. Does anyone know of any electives I could take ??

EECS 1570 vs 1520 as a BSc Psyc student

1570 is recommended by York but is it easier to get a higher mark in 1520?

help finding people at york, been here for years feel like people have a wall.

This is my first time posting. I've been going to York for a while, and I'm a social person. I wouldn't say I have anything that is offputting, or at least I haven't been told. IDK if it's just me who has this issue. I commute, so maybe that's why.

Does anyone have tips, I'm a guy but I'm chill with everyone. Is there a group for people in York who want to make friends? And I do approach people who seem nice, most the time it works but it lokey draining always approaching.

Also wish you guys the best luck on finals

Living in the area - your thoughts?

So I've applied to York for grad school. The program there is perfect for my research, and it's the only one of its kind in the country. It would be my first choice, if it weren't for one thing:

Almost every time I mention that I've applied to York, people tell me that it's in a bad area, and I won't want to live there. I've lived in Guelph for my undergraduate studies, and I've loved it here, but now everyone's got me worried that I'll hate it if I move from here to the city.

So I want to hear from you guys. What's been your experience living in the area around York university? Would you recommend it? If not, how far away do you think I can get away with living if I rely on public transportation?

The librarians dont work for you and dont need to clean after you please learn some decent hygiene.

whats the difference between the forensic psychology course and the psychology and law course?

course codes and stuff:

psyc 3310 3.00 - psychology and law

psyc 3320 3.00 - forensic psychology

I can't find it when I Google it. Are these like a cross-listed situation? I've seen stuff like this before. York didn't get rid of it, right?

Are there any issues with reactivating and enrol in the same program

Hi, I am a 19 year old comp sci student and I have taken some time off from university.

My last course was in 2024 winter term and wanna go back in summer of 2025 and have been wondering are there any issues with reactivating and re enrolling in the program.

I am a little confused and don't want to give up my spot in comp sci program.

So if anybody had issues with not getting into their orignal program after the break please let me know and how I can avoid it if someone could share info on whom I can talk about this that would be great

Here we go again!!?😭

I don't know if it's just me but I feel like I've been finding myself in hella shit holes this year(financially). I just visited the dentist and I haven't been to that joint in a minute coz I been having severe pain in the back of my mouth and I find out that I had an infection and I need to take out my wisdom teeth(All four) if I wanna avoid further infection in the future (This was the dental office in York lanes btw). I know wisdom tooth removal is expensive but common man😭 that shit is my fucking rent. How tf am I suppose to hustle that kinda money without selling drugs. Any information helps guys and please don't ask me to actually sell drugs.

When do curves happen?

I’m a first year student at York and was wondering when do curves happen, for example the course eesc 1019 with professor Andy. Also the course sc math 1300 do they ever curve the mark for those classes. The class average for calc was 50 on both mid terms.
