I noticed that gas seems to be more expensive in York compared to other areas. I work in Mechanicsburg and see 3.19 on average gas at stations, same with Harrisburg and Lancaster. Closer to Philly, gas is even lower with some stations currently dipping below 3.00.
Meanwhile throughout York County, I’ve seen stations currently ranging from 3.29-3.49. Has anyone else noticed this. If so is there a reason why this is the case?
Any Independent Massage Therapists in York?
I’m not from York but noticed there seems to be a pretty good (but still small) graffiti scene around here. Any recommendations on cool things to see? Any thoughts on the Penn Street art bridge?
Are there and nail salons that do non-acrylic nail extensions? I bite my nails and want to get something to stop me, but acrylic always ruins my nails so when the extensions finally come off, my nails are weak and brittle and I just go back to picking and biting.
I’m curious if anyone knows why this land is still vacant? It has to be at least 15 years since there was an open store.
I tried calling the realtors but never heard back.
It is a huge piece of land that would make a great mixed use residential and commercial. It is currently zoned commercial so it would need to be rezoned. We need more apartments in york.
I received a survey in the mail about rezoning, but the description is vague. Does anyone have more information about it? I’m new to the area and was wondering what locals think about it.
Does anyone have experience or advice on dealing with an abandoned car? Last week a tow truck rolled a car off on my street and who I can only assume are the owners tried unsuccessfully to get the car started. They came back a few days later and tried again. I haven't seen them since.
How can I report this car and hopefully get it off the street?
Hey just wondering if anyone has seen anything odd on route 425? There’s been some strange sightings and happenings there.
I’m looking for a farm to get fresh whole chickens from for Thanksgiving. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I moved back to the area a year ago and trained for a run in January on treadmills and I didn't feel as prepared for road running as when I used to run outside. Where do people run in York that's safe? I tried the rail trail and.....won't be doing that again. Do any of the schools let people come and run their tracks or is that weird?
Sharing for a coworker who lives in York PA. If this is not allowed or if there is a different place I should be posting this, please let me know!
Our family is looking to donate gently used children’s toys and games to local charities in York, PA.
Looking for recommendations of any local organizations, shelters, or families in need! We’d love to pass these items on to bring joy to other kids.
Thank you!
Got this in my mail the other day and had someone suggest posting this here. I'm not from or in York, nor am I in Philly but somehow this made it to my town. Anybody familiar with this name or address?
As the title says, I’m looking for deadstock stores in the York County Area. Just looking for a little nostalgia trip and the only place I can think of slightly close to a deadstock store is Ollie’s lmao
Are any vets around here taking new patients? I went to make an appointment for one of my cats at Shiloh West, already being a patient there, and they said they don't want my business anymore "bEcAuSe wErE tOo BuSy." Instead of just making an appointment several months out, they just said pound sand.
Everywhere I'm looking, no one is taking in new patients. Should I be looking in like Gettysburg or somewhere in MD now if York is this backed up?
Does anyone know any bars that are showing the fight tomorrow?
I’m in the far left corner of the county, so I know where I am but everything is north/north east from me, lol.
Hi all I just got my business up and running (2018 farm bill compliant hemp products) come stop on Saturday if you’re bored! They also have good food and random flea market stuff!
my man is african American with a short temper 😭
Is york a good option? I definitely dont like the houses in Philadelphia they look old seems like there is more african americans in philly
I'm guessing there aren't any since the few non-emergency vets I called were booked 1-3 months out, but thought I'd ask. My cat mostly stopped eating her dry food, which is usually all she ever gets and she always eats it all within minutes. Otherwise she is fine, so I think it might just be a dental issue.
I have to fulfill 35 hours of court ordered community service. Is there anywhere in York (mostly closer to Red Lion) that accepts this? Looking primarily for weeknights and weekends. I have about a month to get it done.
Starting a new conquest for the best hot chicken sandwich. Any places in York that can be recommended? Non chains, I’ve had those all
For someone thinking of moving to York, does anyone have any advice?
Would you recommend it or recommend against it?
How is your experience been living there?
Is it a safe place to live?
Are there fun things to do for someone in their early twenties?
