Just downloaded this game on Switch for $2.50 with the Tonic DLC and I gotta say I love this game already. Never played any other YL game before, only banjo Kazooie and donkey Kong country, but this game is fire 🔥 Not that far into it yet but I love it! That’s all, cheers
Couldn't find many Yooka Laylee Posters online, so I made one!
HI Everyone Kem here again!
I just wanna say I finally finished YL for the first time and I loved it!
I also had a question about refighting him. I beat him and watched the credits for a little while 3-5 minutes and quit out to go back into my save file, and I noticed you can fight him again. Is this intentional for anything? Or is it for fun?
Thanks! Kem
I've been absolutely loving this game (my first time playing it) and haven't seen any reason at all why the game was disliked previously. I love the large levels, different moves, play style, etc. It's great!
Until now. Now I want to give this up entirely I'm so mad. Hurdle hijinx is the most issue I've had with this game so far and I'm quickly hating it. How could devs just totally skip fixing such a messed up game???????? I get that it's just a mini game, but I'm really trying to get all the collectibles and this is the worst.
Hello Hello Everyone! Kem here!
I just wanted to drop by and leave a little note here,
(if like me you were curious about getting the game and wanted a review from someone who's new to it)
Alright firstly, I find that this game is insanely under appreciated and frankly very over hated.
I've play both Kazooie and Tooie a decent amount and I can say, for new gen gamers in definitely scratches the itch I would want it to, and gives me a lot of the same vibes that I had while playing through banjo for the first time a year or so back.
The music is awesome, design (even for switch, which is what I play on) is beautiful and very whimsical when it wants to be, but can also be goofy and silly. (Even in my opinion on the same level as banjo in some cases)
I find the movement insanely fun to mess around with and I've already found myself just running around the world's not even collecting things, just moving and listening.
It just really scratches that itch that I would want it to, from the goofy characters (like capital B, who is definitely my favorite) to the world, to the controls. I don't think it's perfect, by any means. But I think if you've been on the fence about buying it because of the mixed reviews, I say trash half of them. Go get yourself a copy, and be transported into something that while niche, has warmed its way right into my heart, and now is yet another indie game I'm obsessed with!!!
TLDR: ya done good Playtronic ya done good.
just wondering is it worth waiting for replayee or get a used ps4 laylee? since it is current gen or pc only. it will be a separate game so no upgrades from original to ps5 right?
is the change that big to warrant a remaster than update or is it more like a cash grab?
i was searching around for something to mod yooka laylee (ORIGINAL, NOT RE-PLAYLEE) but didnt find much..
so i was wondering if its even possible to make an mod
Banjo Tooie came out to NSO recently, and I've been having so much fun with my siblings. I wish more games had replayable fun multiplayer mini games. Hoping either Replaylee or it's sequel has something fun to jump in multiplayer wise
I bought it but I had no idea you had to beat some extremely hardcore level to beat the game. Played for like 4 hours, but now I lost all motivation.
Any playstation players feel like getting me 2 pages?
Hurdle. Fucking. Hijinx.
This minigame is literally pushing me to breaking point. I'm playing on ps5 using remote play and can't get half way through the course. I'll hit right and it will immediately slap back to the left and vice versa. It's literally making this minigame unplayable.
Playtonic Games, the group who made Yooka-Laylee, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, and now soon Yooka-Replaylee, thought the brilliant idea that a ginormous angry planet that has lived for billions of years, is easier then a big bee. Like come on, this is astronomical divine sightings we are seeing, and somehow, a big bee is more exiciting? Now, yes, Capital B. is easier then Planette, but still, why? WHY? God, Playtonic, you are a big flavorful game studio and some nonlogical bowl of honey.
I recently started playing Yooka Laylee again and I got hooked at Kartos Karting at Retxtro’s Arcade. I’ve been trying to get as good record as possible, currently my record is at 1 min and 32 seconds. Has anyone here gotten any higher? Would be nice to hear other people’s records so I have a goal rather than just beating my own record :P
Just wondering if there was any information on Replaylee being on GOG, or if it's just Steam this time. It'd be a shame if it wasn't since that's where I have the original game. Also, it means I probably won't get the discount on the remake either, since the game isn't on my steam account, naturally. I haven't seen this mentioned at all by the devs or anyone else, so it's got me wondering if I'm the first to ask.
Just a quick question bc I'm wanting to do the name change in the credits thing. I'm on the websites but cant seem to find my ID? (This is the only project i've ever backed so I dunno how to check this stuff).
Do we think they are making a new 3D platformer or?
