Don Edwards yodels like a champ here.
Trying to figure out how to learn this technique but I can’t find it anywhere. Any help is appreciated.
I once heard a recording of a cowboy who talked about all the different types reginal yodels and then he also did them each as he talked about this. almost like a seminar talking about each of them and their different sounds and how they are performed. he also imitated the yodels as well some of them were really impressive.
I listen to this maby 20 years ago on cowboy country societies radio station that is no longer in service.
I recently visited Hawaii and decided to check out some Hawaiian music, which is absolutely great stuff. As someone who enjoys yodeling, I noticed that there were some of the elements of yodeling like switching between head and singing voice, and it definitely scratched that yodeling itch for me!
I hope you enjoy as much as I do!
So I'm putting together a playlist for a friend get together mainly composed of Yodeling, while I personally love the music, my friends see it as more of a joke playlist to go along side a joke game session. I've heard Hocus Pocus by Focus and I was wondering if you guys can think of any other examples of "Yodel Rock" or "Yodel Crossover" music that might bring a bit of a mix-up to the playlist and help me get others at least interested in yodeling as something more than a joke. A few examples I can think of are "Meadow Hill from Tekken 6", "Yodeling in the Alphs from Rock of Ages 3" and anything by Takeo Ishii.
Not the most technically impressive (although still technically impressive to me), but probably the best application of yodeling in a song that is not about yodeling.

I’ve listened to a song with yodelling that I really loved but can’t remember where. All I can find googling for it is quick, polka style tossing songs. This was a slower song with classical style Music and relatively mild yodelling but in multi-part, beautiful harmony. I wondered if it might not have been German but maybe even western. Any suggestions will help, I’m at a dead end.
Hello, i'm from Germany (Bavaria) and know almost every yodelingsong and how to find them. I just stumbelt upon r/yodeling and would love to see getting some momentum in here, because yodeling is very underrated and should be more popular. I'm willing to help anyone who is searching a song, wants the lyrics written down or translate it. There are almost non lyrics or translations of the songs, because they are mostly sung with the bavarian dialect which even germans really hardly understand. If someone needs help or has other questions about Bavaria, i'm glad to help!
