Gotta say i wish they leaned into Kaycee's military background a little bit more because it is super cool to see him go full Seal in these moments. I could see it in his eyes that he wanted to comfort that poor girl next to him but he executed the mission like a Seal would. Im just fanboy for this moment as a military guy myself... loved that bit of the episode
Tonight’s character loss hurt me. I love that character
...and they are Beth and Kayce.
But please tell me how we are supposedly rooting for them?
These are BAD people. Go join Walter White and kidnap Baby Holly why don't ya?
What the title says. He’s kept my interest in the show since the beginning. I know people think the storyline is falling apart without John, and yeah maybe Beth keeps you on your toes with her personality, but Kayce has an interesting backstory as a seal and his time away from the ranch.
All of that led to good character growth since season one/an inner conflict storyline that was never boring or overdone (except maybe his relationship with Monica, but I don’t think she’s as annoying as everyone says she is).
Overall he is a decent character that is not outright a villain or “good guy” but just values his family and will do anything to protect them. I also have a feeling that his character will play a big role in the ending of the story, since we all know Tate is supposed to inherit the ranch.
I’ll reserve judgement until the finale is concluded, but I’m really struggling to understand how this is going to have a satisfying conclusion with only 2 episodes remaining. Aside from Clara’s information on Jamie and the new Governor’s conversation to share, Jamie’s impending legal troubles and life being in danger from the family, the reservation’s battle with the pipeline construction, we still haven’t moved on inch on the storyline with Market Equities being involved in the murder of John, and the investigation into it. AND the fate of the ranch. All these storylines could be dragged out over an entire 10-episode season, but there’s 2 hours of screen time left to cram all this in? It doesn’t make any sense to me. Colby’s death seemed wildly unnecessary, especially when there’s so much story left to be told. Kinda out of time for filler.
Also where is pissed off Rip? He spent his entire life being fiercely loyal to John and the ranch, and he seems quite neutral with everything. I thought John’s murder would set a fire under him and we’d see a next-level furious Rip kicking ass and taking names of biblical proportions. It seems his character has regressed into the background.
Again, maybe they can make this all work somehow, but I’ve exhausted thinking of any avenue to how this can be a fully satisfying ending for fans. So much potential story and drama that’s seemingly being wasted
We all know Rip’s a real tough guy, and part of what makes his and Beth’s relationship so interesting is seeing her get him to open up.
But does anybody else think that, at a certain point, his stoic schtick gets annoying and overdone?
John’s dead. A freak accident killed Colby. There’s the pressure of the business. I get all that.
But that scene with Beth where he sat there like a robot doing nothing kind of pissed me off. We get it. You’re a tough manly man who has to deal with shit. But c’mon, to show zero emotion over ANYTHING EVER? It’s old hat, and makes the character feel like a one dimensional weirdo.
I'm new to reddit, so I'm just testing a theory. This question has been answered.
I'm just trying to figure out why my post was hidden.
I made a post about seeing kc's name as EP. But i don't see in on homepage.
Is my account too new? Did including his name violate rules [as a spoiler]?

Was I marked as spam?
I was always somewhat sympathetic to Jamie up until this season. Was I just not paying attention this entire time?
And according to the flashbacks Beth was like 12? So she was born in 1985??? Hahaha. Yeah right she looks 50.
Mine is Beth threatening Jamie’s son
Will we see a visit to the train station during these last 2 episodes?
I saw KCs name in the end credits. Was this a part of their deal when KC initially joined the cast?
I don't watch the conners so maybe roseanne barr is still credited as an EP on that show, too. Maybe charlie sheen still got money, on the back end, after he left 2.5 men.
Is this how things are done in hollywood? Does KC have a really good agent or whatever to hook up this deal? Or does it mean nothing.
This season, so far. Garbage. Lazy, unimaginative, pandering nonsense. Shame, this used to be the best show on TV.
Genuinely tough to take that scene in the truck seriously with that laughably bad accentof hers
Also, "he never saw it comin." Pretty sure he saw it head on actually
In the recent episode, that big black horse was very mad and I was just wondering how they got him that way.
The time jumps made sense to me when watching, except that Beth’s first visit to Texas was 6 weeks ago and Beth’s return to Montana was the night/morning John was killed. Following the before and after jumps isn’t confusing to me in theory, but I can’t make this part of it make actual sense unless it was just poorly edited?
She's married to a literal serial killer. Her father and his elders spent generations screwing over Native Americans. She openly admits all she does is lie. And yet Jamie is the bad one because when they were teens he did what she asked him and it had long-term consequences most certainly he didn't know either? Man, gettin glad Bethstone is nearing it's end
Taylor, get off your lazy ass and write a real ending to this series we deserve. Garbage. Garbage.
I’m a little confused about the last scene with Kayce from tonight’s episode (12/1, S5E12). I looked into counting coup and think I understand what that part meant- but the overall lingo from that car scene went over my head.
I rewatched it twice and can’t really grasp what EXACTLY Kayce said/ what he’s telling him to do/not to do next.
I get the overall message that Kayce knows where to find him/his family and that the dude needs to watch his step or bad things will happen, but I want to know in laymen’s terms what Kayce said.
The trading family part shocked me but again- I don’t think I understand what he was saying.
I don’t have anyone to discuss this with - please dumb it down for me!
The TX cowboys all load up and pull off in a new GMC instead of the usual RAM trucks.
I'm watching Lioness and look who is leading the briefing.
Why isnt he getting snatched up by kayce, and literally being tortured to death, maybe he knows the hit team, if he doesnt, hes a waste of human flesh anyway.
So the dark horse wasn’t buried, it was left to feed the wolves…there’s some sort of metaphor there, but I can’t figure out which is which. It just seemed too intentional not to mean something.
Also, was Kayce seeing the wolf in previous episodes/seasons considered a good thing spiritually or an omen?
A preview for S5 E13, the narrator said, "Only 1 episode left until the season finale." I thought this was the last season, hence it should be the series finale. Did I miss something?
It seems like every time a bad person gets taken out, a good one goes too. Sheesh.
Kayce told Tate “This isn’t our home, not anymore” at the cemetery tonight. Then in the previews for next week, he is saying something to Monica about what if they come after her, Tate or someone else.
Do you think it’s possible he may give up Tate’s stake in the Yellowstone to keep him/them safe?
