Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. The group is composed of vocalist and pianist Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase.

In the beginning of the video for zero there’s an obvious sample used when Karen says “see you guys out there” at 0:15 seconds…
Well tonight I was lying in bed playing on my Switch and watching the movie Tokyo Godfathers… well… the sample comes from the movie at exactly 10:22.
Am I the first to notice this?
I wasnt going to drink today but its a national holiday!
While using a vpn set to America, I noticed that the "yeahyeahyeahs" yt channel has a different "version" of the Gold Lion clip: one being for the US only, and another one for the rest of the world; the american one is in better quality, too.
Why is that?
He says "sorry" but I can't hear the mistake he makes. Why does he restart the song?
What do you think of that early EP they made BEFORE Fever to Tell?
Since google gives me both answers, is it “your sun is our sun” or “their sun is our sun”?
Just in case anyone's interested French channel Culturebox is airing Yeah Yeah Yeah's Rock en Seine live at 11h15 PM (GMT+1)
You need to create a free account to watch, but not sure it's region-locked.
It will be available on this page in 30 minutes, right after the Stones concert ends https://www.france.tv/spectacles-et-culture/
(and the Stones concert is not the worst thing to watch while waiting too)
Not sure it will be available as a replay, the site is shit and it's impossible to find anything on it.
edit: sorry I'm sharing this kinda late, I just learned about it
edit 2: so it looks like it was region locked after all, but if there are French people lurking here or if you manage to use a proxy/VPN, it might be available as a replay in a few days on this page https://www.france.tv/spectacles-et-culture/festival-rock-en-seine/ (or somewhere else on the site, again, the site is shit, there are things I know are there and can't find them unless I get the direct link from google lol) here it is https://www.france.tv/spectacles-et-culture/festival-rock-en-seine/5710467-yeah-yeah-yeahs.html
Can someone explain to me like I'm 12 what's going on in the Burning video?
Beyond the West Side Story reference.
Does that mean a new record is coming?!?
I swear I remember hearing Maps on the radio when my mom would drive me to school in the 90s. I remember being floored when I heard it again in the 2000's and finding out it was a 2003 song.
It’s Blitz Rough Trade 400 copy exclusive to England

(I know this is Yeah Yeah Yeahs territory, but I feel like this is a place to share the group’s other stuff too? If I’m in the wrong, please delete this.)
So yeah - I recently found out that Karen O did a cover of “Under Pressure” with Willie Nelson. I put it on my phone a when I discovered it, but I guess with all the music releasing this year, I forgot about it. Until just now.
I cried. There isn’t much music that brings me to tears. And I’m not even a fan of Willie. But goddamn her voice is so… I can’t even describe it. The range she has, from something like Yeah Yeah Yeahs to her solo stuff - and everything in between - is just incredible. But that’s not the word I want to use. Hell, there might not be a word I can think of.
I just wanted to share my experience. And if others haven’t come across this cover, I highly recommend it. I’ve been a Yeah Yeah Yeahs/Karen O fan for a bit, but I also haven’t stayed up to date on her excursions outside of the band until I went through and found some more recent stuff she’s done.
Anybody know if anything new is on the horizon? Thanks
At the start, where they have dubs of them speaking different languages, is the english translation correct?
I got a feeling it is wrong.
1st part - cantonese?
2nd part - pretty sure that is cantonese.
3rd part - Japanese?
I'm not fluent in any of those languages, but whatever is spoken - is someone able to do an correct english translation?
Or can just let me know what languages were spoken.
I wonder from where did I got this live version:
I am 100% it was from an MTV2 video, but I cannot find it anywhere!
Does someone know details about this live track? Would like to know more about it.
Kind of a long shot lol, send them my way if you do!!
Does anyone have a rip of yyys mosquito on kimmel? They did the song during the shows end credits and i cant find it anyWHERE
I heard Y control in a show I watched and it is now my favourite song rn. But I've struggled to enjoy other yeah yeah yeahs song because I find them a bit basic with the lyrics (maps and heads will roll). Are there any songs with a similar style and instrumention to Y control?
