Read it last night and finished it one go just this morning. Lol fuck sleep. I'm glad I discovered it when it was already completed because I would've never survived the frustration of having to wait for days before the next chapter 😩

I've been holding out on reading BL/yaoi stories recently because I find it hard to come across stories that I think I would like. To be frank, most of the new BLs I see on my timeline are kinda like the same: with a sex-crazed obsessed top and a femboy-damsel in distress bottom who are sold/or in debt to their tops. Plus a lot of them heavily focuses on heavy smut, some of which I find a little unrealistic at times what with oversized dicks and non-con/dub-con themes.

While I only literally came across Dark Heaven because of a fanart I saw on X, the art style was what initially caught my interest. The art style was one I really like, and the fact that it was a setting outside of SK (I've nothing against SK, just that it's refreshing to see a BL story set somewhere else in the world).

1-10 chapters in and I had already guessed that the story was gonna get depressing at some point but, oh boy, little did I know it was gonna get even more TRAGIC than imagined. In a good way. Or not. Bottom line is that it hurt me GOOD.

For me, Dark Heaven is a mature story intended for mature readers as it tackles with themes of homophobia, racism, bullying, religion, obsession, abuse, mental health, family dynamics, etc. but ultimately, forgiveness and love (in whichever way and form it comes).

One more thing: Fuck Veronica. Fuck Pete and WAF. Fuck those homophobic normies. Fuck that lunatic detective. Fuck Kiev (yes I kinda hate him). Simon and Connor deserve to be together after all they've been through. Sure, they could've chosen to break up indefinitely, but their love was so profound that whether they were in heaven or hell didn't matter as long as they had each other.

For those second guessing whether to read it or not, lemme just say that I didn't have high hopes when I started reading it but I also didn't expect it to change me as a person overnight. That's quite what literally happened to me.

Dark heaven is a gem that you only encounter every once in a while. 💯 must read.

Hi! So I read this manga a while back (might have even been a few years ago) so my description may be inaccurate…

Basically it’s about an assassin. He is separated from his parents at a young age and is trained to become an assassin. His newest target is the ML. I think he’s an influential figure in either business or something similar to the yakuza. Iirc the ML is probably not Japanese (but I might be wrong). I really can’t remember much more but there’s a particular scene that’s somewhat relevant. At the start of the story, the ML handcuffs MC to the bed frame… at the end of the manga he does the same, only this time, he does it to tease the ML.

Also, MC had dark hair (he was also the bottom). ML had lighter hair.

This was a manga (not a manhua/ webtoon). It was pretty short too (5-7 chapters). Please help me find it! Honestly, I think I might’ve posted an image of it on my profile at some point but I really don’t want to go through my hundreds of posts only to end up not finding it😭

There was this one manhwa I read years ago, and the author decided to stop writing it, so it should be discontinued. If I remember correctly, it was shounen ai and very slow burn. It was pretty plot-heavy, and the genre was fantasy and sci-fi. It was kind of a futuristic world, but some people had powers. The MC had black (or blue?) hair and blue eyes with wind powers, and the ML had white hair and purple eyes with a very rare mind-control power. The MC is kind of an inspector, and the ML is kind of a criminal. The MC arrests him, and now they have to work together for some reason. I think it had a guide and esper theme? I can’t exactly remember. Anyway, that’s basically all I can recall, and I would be really, really grateful if someone could tell me the name.

Some more information about the characters: The ml is playful and morally grey and has no problem murdering people but still acts silly all the time. Mc is serious and kind of awkward but like mostly normal other than being pretty much constantly exasperated by ml’s antics. Also pretty sure they had western names. There was also this tech girl who acted as their support on missions and gave them information.

I admit I was actually a little surprised to see Dan jumping back into bed with JJK so soon, but then I remembered this is supposed to be sex-filled entertainment before a story of a mouse growing into a lion and a lion being reduced to simp in heat. So now I'm thrown and wondering how she's going to do this.

What're your theories?

My guess is the sex will be a bit more tender and JJK will suddenly find himself giving a shit about Dan's pleasure and comfort. I daresay Dan (and J!) will be surprised by this and reluctantly find himself giving in to the pleasure and comfort of it. Afterwards I'm sure JJK will stay and continue doing cute wholesome shit that Dan will see, all the while getting actual good sex and maybe Dan will start softening to JJK again.

Now I just wonder, during all of this, when/how is J gonna realize he wants him to come back for more reasons than his jinx. Maybe a disagreement or something Dan says. Grandma death and Dan shuts down and J doesn't get sex, therapy, or even conversation but he finds himself lingering anyway. Idk. But I expect him to get wrecked, this better not be easy for him. Like, I want him ready to throw his career away if it means he can hold Dan's hand for 2 minutes. 😠

I vaguely remember reading a BL where one of the scenes had a kissing contest and the prize was a new phone I believe. The ML held the MC in a bridal carry during the contest and the MC’s cousin also took part in the contest with his boyfriend. I think the cousin won because the MC was embarrassed or something. Unfortunately that is all I remember. This BL is definitely an older one and is probably a manhua.

I read it at least 5 years ago and i think it was a manhwa but i'm not sure anymore if the panels had colors like normal webtoons bc for some reason i think it was completely black/white. It was about 2 guys and i think guy A worked in a little convenience store and guy B stalked him i think? And i cant remember at all what happened and how they got close to each other but there was one scene later in the car where i think guy A sucked guys B dick and guy B then forcefully pushed guys A head down and yeah but B apologized and guy A then said he actually liked it lmao i cant remember anything else, i might have even confused some things. I don't remember the name of this anymore. It had two guys in it. One with orange hair and one with purple hair. Purple hair guy could transform into some type of octopus and killed the other guys dad when they were young. Also bit other guy to insert energy. Then he vanished through portal. Some years later, orange guy works in something like a bar and then gets beat up outside and purple hair dude suddenly appears and kills the people beating up orange hair guy. Then tries to retrieve the once given energy through methods but can't manage to do it, so he starts crying. It wasn't much more than 3 or 4 chapters
