I've never played any of the Xenoblade games so there isn't any preconceived notions from them. I liked Xenogears quite a bit ill admit the cutscene to gameplay ratio got to be a bit much in disk 2 but it wasn't a bad experience overall. Still though, any tips and pointers for the Xenosaga games is appreciated
so i started a replay of episode 1, and i just now noticed the schematics for TELOS in the U-TIC battleship
Okay maybe its just me but i just got to the inside a gnosis part. is it just me or are there so many freaking battles, can't walk 2 seconds without starting a battle. is this a trend as the game goes on? I felt like before the battles were like not too bad, alot of big boss battles that required many saves and luck now its just a drag
Anyone else feel that Shion and Virgil's story arc was kind of jumbled into Episode 3 along with Feb? I mean Shion completely forgot about all the time she spent with Feb and playing with Cecily and Cathe? Feb asks Shion to save her sister's in Episode 1 and Shion is like...who??? Fast forward to Episode 3 and young Shion is asking to play with Cecily and Cathe again.
Might be a few things here.
Shielding of mental trauma from the Miltian Conflict and parents dying in a horrible manner.
Didn't really play all the time with C & C. Spent only a few months with Feb. Barely remember Virgil from her younger days.
She grew up and was like I'm too First Division for y'all.
Don't even get me started on the connection gear codes to kamikaze Realians. That whole story plot was done poorly.
Has anybody here played the PAL version and can tell me if the game asks to save before the disc swap as I have read that it doesn’t.
Hello guys, I'm currently playing Xenogears but after that I might play the trilogy of xenosaga. As the tile says how's the emulation of the games? Any game breaking glitches or something like that? It better to play on PC or steam deck?
I can't find it anywhere
i dont rely a lot on magic in the games. i find it rather underwhelming in episode 1 compared to the techs and i find it even worse in episode 2.
but i always want to try to experience more of the game and get better familiar with all the aspects of the game so im testing magic this playthrough
i actually started this months ago but took a break at the song of nephillim and only just picked it back up again
im on episode 2 now. just entered MOMO's mind
in episode 1 i mainly used shion/KOSMOS/chaos with shion and chaos in the backrow so KOSMOS could take most of the blows buffing her defense and using boost 1 to give shion and chaos turns as they needed them
shion was kind of my random encounter killer. she would use brave soul buffed dominion tank to end regular fights immediately and would take a chunk out of a bosses health before going on healing duty well chaos would throw out the ether limit buffed elemental damage based on the bosses weakness
it worked pretty well but i still found it to be not as good as just using the techs.
episode 2 my main plan is to use shion/MOMO/chaos.
MOMO and chaos for their high EATK stat and shion because she gets unique erde kaiser spells throughout the game and has the solo dungeon for grinding her up to have all the spells very quickly.
i am allowing myself to use double moves but thats not going to be a viable tactic until i get the boost increasing spell
Now that I went through everything, All the blade games, saga and I played gears like 30 years ago(damn ain’t no way it’s been that long 😱) well at least I can still play video games man
Anyway so what’s games should I go to next after all this. I’m sure you know the immense hole it leaves and not much can fill that experience
I’m open to anything ps2 onward. Can’t do ps1 anymore
I’m so glad I came back to these again after all this time. Wow I wish there was more. The final battles were great. The third game was starting off a bit to easy but it spiked and never let up. I’m happy that it did. I’m not sure which episode is my favourite. I really liked them the same.
Just still a little confused about Shion and who she is exactly
Amazing games and still hold up today
Thanks to the people who made the hd retextures
Hi, everyone, first post here. I'll cut it short to say that I'm just an overgrown teenager who played again and again XG without ever touching Xenosaga because I knew there was a sheer amount of time I would need to invest myself in the franchise, not as much as I spent with Xenogears. I'm a lore obsessed kind of player. So I'd like if someone could give me idea on how to approach to the franchise. I'm not clueless but an example? I searched for the first game and the fact there's a RELOADED version (?) alreary gave me chills
First, Dmitri Yuriev was named drop during the radio scene in Future Redeemed. Now these could just be a lore drop to help connect the two games series but I believe it was a clue that Dmitri would return in the new games as the main villain.
It’s possible that Dmitri cheated death again by transferring his consciousness into a new body. And plan on continuing his goal of killing U-DO. (These is possibly the event that leads to Kos-mos and U-Do fate battle that destroys the Universe.)
And we know Dmitri has both the intelligence and determination to do these.
Xenoblade3 Future Redeemed and the recent 25th anniversary video for Monolith Soft had a lot of Xenosaga references. I'm a little torn on what it all means. For the 25th anniversary video they could just be celebrating the fact that it's a Xeno series they made. But why all the references to Xenosaga in Future Redeemed? Did they just want to tie the two series together? Or or are they saying "you'll want to play Xenosaga before our next game"? Or what?
I feel like Takahashi has a unique story he wants to tell each time. Xenosaga 1 was different than Xenogears. Once he told that he was ready to wash his hands of the Xenosaga series and then came back to finish episode III which was still really different than episode 1. Then the first Xenoblade was a unique story. Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade 3 were very different. So I don't think they're just going to throw a repaired KOS-MOS into old jerusalem (I think that's where she was going) at the beginning of the next Xenogame with the worlds of Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 combined. That's so derivative and unlike anything that has been done in the Xeno verse.
Also, Xenosaga wasn't exactly popular. It got a lot of bad reviews, didn't sell well and the series was cut short. I'm glad they don't do just what's most popular or else they'd have just dropped Xenosaga. Maybe Takahashi feels like it wasn't completed and wants to revisit it? I'm kind of rambling.... I just find it really curious that they're bringing up Xenosaga a lot like 23 years after it was released
Hello, Should I buy the steel or titanium bangle in Xenosaga Ep III?
