There's a question in my head and I need answer, so what if you somehow survived a chestbuster or simply had it removed from some good ass doctors. Would the Xenomorph that came out of you know that it came from you? Would it attack you? Or would it believe that your it's mother or something? Maybe it can tell you apart from other humans by your scent or something or would simply just rip you a new one on sight.

Just a dumb question.

So this is from the latest alien vs avengers comics first issue. I've read 2 of them as the new one isn't till next year now. I'm not sure aboutbit tbh. Has anyone else read it and what did you think of it?

Last night I woke up from my post-turkey tryptophan coma to use the bathroom (because being 40 is awesome). I didn’t wake all the way though, and my brain continued its subconscious theoretical exploration of my Covenant sequel fanfic story ideas, and I had a sudden epiphany regarding facehuggers and the Black Goo accelerant.

Now, we’re all familiar with how the goo works and how it ties in with xeno implantation thanks to Romulus; The facehuggers produce/contain a dose of the radical genetic AI substance with a certain degree of pre-programmed traits which constantly produce an XX-121 style xenomorph or close variant thereof (depending on host DNA)🧬

“Why aren’t the facehuggers themselves affected by their own bioweapon payload?”

As soon as this random question blurted across my half-conscious brain, a possible solution/answer formed as well:

“What if the facehuggers also produce/secrete a suppressant substance that protects them from the volatile mutagen within them?”

The implications of this could be huge; perhaps the very ‘lubricant’ on their proboscis used for implantation keeps the pathogen inert until the proboscis is withdrawn, at which point only then does the pathogen actually activate and begin harvesting and hybridizing the host’s DNA and tissues to develop the fetal xenomorph parasite.

This opens up several unexplored storyline and character possibilities. The facehuggers themselves could prove both the cataclysmic harbingers of death and destruction, but also the source of a “cure” or temporary “suppressant” for plagiaris praepotens!

• Cryofreezing a host with the facehugger parasite still attached delaying the actual implantation and development of the fetal xenomorph due to the facehugger’s own suppressant

• a population or individual that has been unknowingly infected and being given a synthetic suppressive to stave off xenomorph chestburster development until something goes wrong, a dose is missed, and the creature develops and bursts free at an unexpected time (this would be an excellent way to utilize the ‘sex-burster’ scene idea from Prometheus)

• My own headcannon Prequel story idea that would feature David and Walter sharing the same body exploring a Jekyl/Hyde Multiple Personality Disorder as they vie against each other from within to destroy/protect the colonists on Origae-6 as both the Wolf and the Shepherd. Their precarious stalemate tipped by the arrival of outside forces (Weyland Yutani corporate agents following up on David’s “olive branch” transmission, and/or Rain and Andy from Romulus), when David is detained for questioning about his experiments, Walter is unable to administer the suppressant to the Origae-6 colonist population and all hell rips free—literally—as David’s experiments come to fruition and his literal ‘House of Horrors’ comes to life.

Decided to do a facehugger and chestbuster page🫶

Just got done watching aliens with my boyfriend and he goes “could there be xenomorph dolphins? And would they be even more intelligent?” So now im siting here thinking if they could even and if so how intelligent would they be since dolphins are technically smarter than humans.

Personally, I think the idea of Purebred Xenomorphs, Xenomorphs who do not take certain traits from their hosts is an interesting idea. For a species that frequently takes traits in order to better suit their environment, there's always one that stays the same no matter what, kinda taking the "Perfect Organism" title a little more literally.

Since most of us are not sure whether Queens can, at least canonically, take traits from their hosts, I headcanon that Queens are Purebred, alongside Ovomorphs and Facehuggers. As for what happens if Stage V Xenomorphs molt, then the Queen sheds those traits. Since she will be with her ovipositor motionless, those traits would largely be redundant, anyway.

So what do you all think of the idea of Purebreds? Do you think fits with the Xeno mythos?

Gobble gobble Thanksgiving horror in space lol

I was talking about the third alien film and someone told me "I think it's a bad idea that the xenomorph becomes less smart when he's a dog-xenomorph. He loses his cunning and is not "perfect" now ". And I thought that maybe the xenomorphes are intelligent because they are in a human form. So if you were a xenomorph, in wich animal would you go to have his abilities ?

I love the alien series, my top favorite monster/alien movies of all time. But the creater of the series said he had a goal for the series from start to finish but he couldn’t make the movies a lot earlier like he wanted 2. Hense why he made alien :Romulus which is suppose to be the movie after alien came out but aliens came out instead. And I keep hearing about the goddess. So basically is he trying to make a story based around the origins of aliens till we get to the goddess alien which is the perfect hybrid of human and alien. Will we see the goddess in the movie series???
