What thing can I buy to have more storage for my Xbox? I tried looking for some but idk which ones
I have the pc game-pass, can I transfer it to a series s console or do I have to cancel and re-subscribe?
so basically it’s a long story, but it’s somewhere along the lines of I used to not have my own Xbox but my brother did so I made and account on his and played on there. well his account somehow deleted off his Xbox and made mine the like main account or something. I told him when it happened to just make another account and change it to where his was the main one and to not use my account under any circumstance. of course being a little brother he didn’t listen and used my account anyway and bought games and spent money in those games and he claims he has spent over $1000 but I really don’t believe him.
it has started to become a problem because I can’t play when I want to because he’s always playing and using my accounts and it ends in an argument and neither of us get to play.
I was just wondering if there was a way for me to like download his game progress onto another account, if any one has any tips they would be much appreciated!
when i try to open the discord menu through xbox it says an error message
im able to see what my friends are doing on discord through the xbox friends list, but when i try to join a voice channel through it; it just gives me the same error message
Kids wanted to use Xbox over the holiday and tried to log in. Remembered the PIN, but Xbox then asked for email address or set up new account. We logged in using email and then it shows a really horrible “help us beat the robots” captcha requiring you to align puzzles with orbits 20 times! Wtf is this crap? Kids just want to play a silly game. I’m about to smash this garbage to pieces. Thanks for letting me rant. Still can’t get into the device.
My friend has been wanting to customize an xbox controller, so that’s what I wanted to get her for christmas. Can I purchase a gift card for her to use for the controller? I read somewhere that you can’t use “microsoft points” in the xbox design lab. Is this the same as a gift card? Or something different. Help please!
Same as title really. Created a brand new Microsoft account this afternoon as my son has been gifted an Xbox One. But every time he logs in he gets told the account is locked due to suspicious activity at which point I input my phone number. Get a code to my phone, input the code and access the account again. Super frustrating considering the account is all of 3 hours old. Any advice would be welcome.
It doesn't make the proper sound and doesn't register properly, the first one does work (LB), the second one doesn't (RB)
If I connect my controller with a USB-C to USB-C cable to my PC can I use it as a wired controller? Will it do any harm to my controller or PC?
hi all, i have bought multiple xbox one controllers and all of them have had the same problem where the adapter becomes wobbly and loose when in the port making it disconnect the controller every time i move it slightly, i thought buying a new controller would solve the issue but after around 4-5 months after buying the new one the same issue occurred. i have been told that i should buy i third party controller like one from turtle beach but im not sure which controller i should get or what brand. (i dont want to spend anything more than 50 bucks) sorry if this is too specific but if anyone can recommend a controller i would be really grateful. thanks.
I have run out of places to look for help so I thought I would make my own post. My Xbox light will turn on but no display. I have put it into repair mode but when I do this, the controller will not work with this screen. I can use the controller to try to turn the xbox on so it is connected (xbox light turns on when i do this but still no display). Could this be a power supply issue? I have tried multiple controllers and multiple reboots and power cycles.
Hey guys,
Recently my Xbox one S has been shutting down completely after a while of being in sleep mode. I'm wondering if it might be overheating or if maybe the power supply is failing? Is this happening to anyone else? I also got a boot error when restarting it the other day and it said that I needed to factory reset it before it would work. I chose to keep all my games and then reset it. The only thing I haven't done is a complete factory reset and delete all games.
The lb button gets stuck after certain amount of time, and I have to keep blowing on it every now and then to get it unstuck. Is there any way to fix this permanently?
My Xbox one stopped reading my external SSD. I tried ever troubleshooting tip on the internet. Unplugged/re-plugged, tried different ports, power cycling, messed with the settings. When I plugged it into my laptop it only appears as Disk 1 I allocated. I don’t want to lose all my games so I read somewhere to try minipartion wizard to recover the data. However, while it is scanning my SSD I read that even if the files can be recovered there is no way to get them back onto an SSD in a playable format from my laptop. Am I just cooked? Is there no way to recover these games?
Ive got marshall major 5, and connect it to controller with wire, but my boys dont hear my voice inside fortnite, although i see mic is on in settings xbox, what is it? can u help me?
I was watching yt then the controller auto turned off and when I turned it back on it wasn't detecting any input except for Xbox button I tried the joysticks dpad triggers everything nothing, I tried taking the battery out and back in still nothing
the only way I could fix it is by turning my Xbox off and turning it back on.
I'm just curious if this is something I should be worried about/ get fixed
This is an odd one, please bear with me. I'm also very frustrated as I've requested a callback four times via the Xbox support virtual assistant and not had one at all.
A friend's son has an Xbox / MS account. It was set up using his mum's email address which wasn't ideal, but worked. All good.
Recently he apparently went on his Xbox and it had been logged out, his gamer tag not listed as one to log in with. He tried to log in and "it made him create a new account". This is all the detail I have. He made a new one - it wouldn't let him use his old gamer tag so he created a similar one - using the same login credentials. Obviously, though, this new account is now linked to mum's email address... and his old account is gone. All the games they purchased, his achievements, friends list... we can't figure out how to get them back.
We assume the account is still out there somewhere, but as the new one is now attached to the email address, that is the only one we can attempt to recover. And it doesn't need recovered. We want the older one back.
Obviously, speaking to someone at MS would be useful but as stated they're not actually doing callbacks even though their system says they will which is very annoying.
UPDATE: I checked xboxgamertag.com and his old account is listed, and was accessed 5 days ago.
UPDATE UPDATE: Sorted. Managed to get logged in via a phone number! Account rescued :)
I recently acquired a Forza Edition Xbox one and have been downloading tons of games, some I’ve had for years and others I’ve recently purchased. The problem is storage.
After repasting the CPU and replacing the original Samsung HDD with an SSD I put the old HDD into an enclosure for space temporarily, but wanted to use a flash drive for storage that can stay with, and in, the console.
I purchased a tiny sandisk 1tb drive and formatted it for games, as well as renaming it, but it never shows up after I do that. I see that the Xbox will officially support up to two connected drives at once, so I didn’t think there would be an issue. However, even after formatting it in one of my laptops to NTFS and reinserting it, then formatting it again, I get the same outcome, it doesn’t show up anywhere.
In case it matters, I am using the usb port on the side of the Xbox.
I have searched YouTube and elsewhere online, but haven’t found anything that I haven’t tried doing already. There doesn’t seem to be much information regarding this issue on Xbox one.
‘Solved’
So it’s been a while since I last charged my controller but it was still at half charge yesterday. I pressed the home button to turn on my Xbox, both the controller and Xbox turned on and stayed on long enough for me to sign in. But the controller turned off and won’t turn back on again. It also won’t change what so ever. I’ve tried different cables and plugs for both the actual charging block and just plugging it in but still nothing. It also makes a high pitched very quiet buzzing noise when the home button gets pressed and it’s put on the charging block. I’ve only had it a couple months and not gotten anything on or in it since I last used it.
I am adding some last minute things to my boyfriend’s Christmas gift. His Xbox controller broke and I was thinking of getting him a new one. Problem is, I don’t know the first thing about gaming. They all look the same to me, but I know that to someone who actually plays, they most definitely are not. I’m not even sure if this is the right subreddit to ask, but which one should I buy? Does it matter where I buy it from? Any other tips or information you can enlighten me with please?
I was just wondering if anyone has actually found a working fix for this issue? I have tried the "offline update" with a USB stick and that has not worked. I'm just stuck in the loop.
This happened to my XBOX One S, so I thought I will grab my original XBOX One out of the loft and the same thing has just happened. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi, does anyone know how that issue can be fixed ?
