My Xbox will not turn on. When I hit the button it makes the noise and the light flashes like it’s about to turn on but doesn’t. I got a new power cord and it didn’t fix it. One of my discs is in there and i can’t get it out. Help.
Good morning, can anyone help me? Since I've been using my Xbox, this bug has been recurring, and until today I haven't found any way to solve it. Basically, the game download or update reaches 100%, but it is not completed, the game stays there, at 100%, without me being able to open it. The only actions that appear for me to do are the ones you can normally do with a game that is updating
Every time I try to start a 360 game I get a thing asking me to download profile, and if I try to download profile it says can't connect to Xbox Live.
I have tested My Internet connection and it is fine, So I'm not exactly sure how to connect to Xbox Live from the Xbox One, In order to play my Xbox 360 games.
The console still turns on and stays on, disc eject still works, have tried different HDMI cords and still no result.
There's no "black screen of death", just a regular no signal screen from my TV, worked fine until today
So my Xbox controller will turn on but the buttons don't do anything it's paired to the Xbox I was using it to watch YouTube thirty minutes ago but now the controller is just a paper weight anyone got any tips
I need help signing into my hotel network on my xbox one. Can I get some help getting the additional authentication needed screen to load on my Xbox One please? Thanks!
Hello.
I'm buying an xbox series S to replace the xbox one I've had for a long time for christmas, I don't really use it all that much but the boy does. I'd like to let him take the old one home to where he lives with his mum for some of the week. I've read I can have two on the same microsoft/gamepass account, i would like to have all the account details on the new one. Is this a simple process? Is there an obvious guide I'm missing detailing what to do and all that? I read a few things but not exactly what I'm looking for, Also, when you set up a new one on the old account does it want to download all the games again or can you pick and choose?
Hi,
Iv had to reset my Xbox one before. So iv done the power cycle click on continue without sign in and when I click on settings it don't load. And the one time it did load everytime i clicked on something nothing would happen. I'm getting slightly frustrated and been trying it now for over 2 hours. Any advice or help is appreciated
Brand new Xbox controller randomly stopped working this morning. Weird thing is it will still turn one the Xbox, but I can’t use it once the system is on. Not sure what happened it was working last night.
My son is really into flying and jets, and wants to get into the Microsoft Flight Simulator. I want to get him this and a HOTAS for Christmas, but our Xbox is in another room other than the TV he would be playing on. I have read about USB extender cables, and I would need a cable that would run 25-30 feet. Can anyone help me with the correct cable to get that would work with the Xbox Series X the best?
Hello, I have a problem with my Xbox one. I recently took it apart and since then it turns on (the light comes on and the console makes the startup noise) but turns off for 5 seconds. No signal on the TV. If anyone has a solution.
Every time I attempt to open the following games: Forza horizon five Rainbow six siege and Insurgency sandstorm I consistently get the error code 0x87e5002c, when I googled it it said that it's the error code that typically means even though a game appears installed, some necessary files are missing or haven't fully downloaded. But I don't understand why this issue is happening, I also can't uninstall the games and any time I try, the icons dissappear but it doesn't clear any space on my Xbox.
Any ideas?
Our Xbox One is about 9 years old. There's several little things is has problems with, and I'm not sure if it's because of the old console itself, or because they are trying to force people to purchase digital versions of games and phase out game discs. Our main issue is: It hates reading game discs. This has been happening for a few years now. I've delt with it because I can't afford to just buy a next-gen console every 3 years. I have to close and re-insert a disc multiple times to play. Unfortunately this also happens with digital versions of games. An example is Skyrim. I will try to boot up the game, and it starts, then says "sorry the game took too long to load". It usually takes 3 or 4 tries to boot the game. Once it boots, the game works fine. This is probably due to an old console. But one more issue that may be software related is the constant need for updates. I sometimes like to take the Xbox off wifi connection to avoid any forced updates upon startup, which happens a lot! Today, the xbox was offline. We tried to insert the disc to Lego Jurassic World, and upon trying to boot up the game, the system said "you need to be online to play this, try setting this as your Home xbox). Why on earth does a physical disc need to be connected to the internet to play?! There's no reason for it! I had to jump online, install yet ANOTHER system update, and then reboot. I'm so sick of the constant issues with just starting a game!
Is this an Xbox thing? Is Ps4 or Ps5 this bad? I feel like Xbox is forcing all of its system features to require 100% constant internet access, and it's forcing people to buy digital copies of games. Also recently in Minecraft, my two kids can't play together on the same console. In the Minecraft world settings, it gives me some crap about "you need to have an online subscription to plau multiplayer" and I absolutely cannot create a new world with the "multiplayer" option toggled on. The "create" button will grey-out. We do NOT have an online subscription, we don't need one. Is THIS a minecraft issue, or an Xbox issue??
TLDR I'm really tired of all the subtle ways that XBox is forcing online connectivity and subscription services onto everyone. I'm sick of it. Do I need to change to PlayStation?
I’m setting up a one S that my sister is letting me borrow since she got a Series X and I’ve put int the password multiple times and each time after I’ve re entered it to confirm it, it’s just gone back to “add a password” each time. I’ve restarted it and turned it off etc but I literally cannot set it up until this is fixed.
Can anyone tell me where this control came from? Is it a limited edition?
I have the CD for Minecraft but even when it’s inside my xbox I keep being told to buy it. Anything I can do?
Might sound like a bot question but guys does normal usb sticks work as storage for the Xbox one sorry I’m a recent PlayStation user don’t really know much respectfully, I’ve got a 2x 128gb usb sticks and I’d love to use them, would it work and if they did would they damage or do anything to the console
Thanks everyone 😊
just bought it
I own an Xbox One. I had it in my trunk when I moved to Florida in August and forgot about it. I just found it and tried to start it and it won’t turn on. Is there any fix or is it just fried?
I try to install Fortnite and when I click install it says that it needs an update, and when I update now, my Xbox won’t install the game and repetitively saying “installation stopped”. Can anyone help me fix this issue?
Was working fine for 20 or so hours and then started pixelating freezing and now unable to load new or saved games at all. Tried re Downloading. That worked for a few hours now back to square one. Anyone else having problems or know the fix? Please help!!
Hi, I'm going to add an SSD into my X1X. I was going to choose an Kingston A400 SSD which is a sata drive and it's speeds are 500MB/s read, 450MB/s write. But then I came across an Nvme SSD for the same price with 3,500/s read 2,800MB/s write and it's also got 40 more gigs. Therefore I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy a SATA adapter to put it into my X1X. Would it even work and would it loose any speed? Thanks in advance.
For a while I had to have my hdmi cord at an angle for it to work to my tv but now my Xbox won’t even connect to my tv. Is my hdmi port broken? Do I have to go get it repaired?
for whatever reason only one singular HDMI cord of all the cords I own would work for my xbox one, and that cord just busted. I tested all my others and bought a new one nothing's working it won't display on my roku. has anyone else had this issue idk what to do
Massive apologies and will take post down asap if this doesn’t fit this subreddit, but basically guys me and my finance want to play some offline coop games on the Xbox one, I’ve got a game pass ultimate however I’m abit slow and not the smartest, but we’ve been really looking for some couch coop games that’s really good tbh and doesn’t look like a android made game if that makes sense, me and her enjoy Mario kart on the Nintendo, and love playing Kinect on the 360 but for the Xbox one what’s the best plays to play or what’s everyone’s favourite coop multiplayer game
I notice after I watch maybe 12-15 movies/blurays, when I go to play a game(that was already installed & updated) it needs to be reinstalled AGAIN OFFLINE. I don't use my internet to connect to my xbox, in fact, the only source of internet I have is my Hotspot. But ai do update my xbox maybe once a month I'll hop online just to update it.
I'm dumbfounded as to why a game that's already installed, needs to be reinstalled again. Has anyone else have this happen to them? Is there a solution?
