How do I handle a selfish manager, who is reeling from the authority my bosses have allocated to him? He sucks up to the bosses and doesn’t question whatever decisions are being made even when it doesn’t work for any single person at the office, him included.
I swore off cans of compressed air years ago, but the electric blower I bought just doesn't cut it. It was this one: https://www.opolar.com/products/2019-new-opolar-battery-operated-air-duster
Does anyone have one they actually really like?
I’ve had dual wide+curved monitors for a while and am considering swapping in a vertical monitor for web pages (I don’t code) to free up desk space. Unfortunately all my wide Samsung monitors don’t have the old standard rotation mount and it’s probable cheaper to just get a basic 24/27” flat unit. Is there a compelling reason to try to use a curved monitor vertically? I’m 60yo and use 1.5 readers to view my screens, and I’m running a new M2 MacBook Pro with a Plugable port hub. Thanks in advance.
I'm trying to optimize my gaming and home office setup, but I'm stuck on how to improve it. Currently, I have two tables that I put together to form like a letter L: one for my PC and monitor (165Hz) with my gaming peripherals (120 cm table), and the other for my Mac and 100Hz monitor (100 cm table). I use my mac for work and PC for gaming on my free time.I'm looking for suggestions on:
Table configuration: Should I combine the tables or keep them separate? My setup currently is a bit messy but convenient since I only use 1 chair
Monitor setup: Is it better to have a single main monitor and switch between PC and Mac, or keep both monitors? I want to utilize my main monitor’s refresh rate and heard that hubs limit refresh rate (need to be optimized for gaming too)
Cable management: How can I better organize my cables?
Other tips: Any other suggestions to make my gaming and workspace more efficient and comfortable?
I'm open to all ideas and suggestions! Thanks in advance.
I set it up over a couple weeks ago and it has this strong unpleasant musty smell and I’m not sure how to get rid of it. Any suggestions? It’s mainly made of engineered wood.
Im moving to a new room and I want to make this room the best it can be. Im going to need a bed and a desk. Im a engineering student, so I was thinking of have to sperate desks. One for my Main setup and another for work on projects, but idk how to do that and still keep the room looking like a bedroom.
I need to cover this glass table with something to that is not seen. Does anyone know any material or web page where they can make something personalized to put on the table and cover that ugly glass?
(if you propose a change or purchase of an object that improves the office without changing the peripherals...I will also thank you) I can do a before < after
Hey Workspaces, I have an idea on what I would like to achieve for my workspace and I need some help. At the moment I have:
Person laptop(will change it to a desktop PC soon)
Work laptop
Mini PC I use to host stuff
I use 2 monitors with a HDMI matrix + keyboard/mouse with a USB switch to toggle everything between my input devices.
Now I recently started having this obsession on wanting to make the process of switching my screens and peripherals in a smoother way, getting a nice mechanical keyboard AND having my numpad on the left. As far as I can tell, there is a way for me to achieve all of this, with a simple device: a customizable numpad.
What I have in mind is to have a seperate numpad, which can have different "profiles". Basically I want to be able to use as a normal numpad, but also press a button and turn it into "custom" mode, where the keys can be used as macros for scripts I write. All this while being able to control the numpad with my USB switch. An alternative would be to able to use my numpad via both Bluetooth AND wifi with a dongle, so all my macros are tied to my Mini PC.
is this even possible? Do you know of such numpads?
What do y’all think?
Just moved in with the girlfriend, she let me have this corner.
I’m getting a 34” ultrawide, 27” flat, and 24” flat monitor. I’ll be using the 24” as a vertical so i’m unsure what to do with the other two…
I’d preferably like to have the 34” and 27” side by side with the 24” vertical on my left but i’m unsure how that would look and if I’ll have the space for it on a 73” table.
Alternatively, I could stack the 34” and 27” but I’m worried about neck pain as I’ll be gaming on the 27” and using the 34” for productivity/occasionally playing WOW.
Does anyone have pictures of a similar set up I could see for inspiration?
Much appreciated!
Hello everyone, I am looking for monitor suggestions.
Most of the time, I pair the monitor with my Macs for design and do some PS5 gaming with streaming.
How do you all keep your workspaces clean and dust free? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
My current stack is:
Also the table is an height adjustable 6x3 feet with 120KG weight capacity.
I only want to use 3 screens the rest I will use for a different setup
What other accessories I should buy? I will use this setup for work and as a background for my AI podcast
What approach I should I go for?
