My current desk is over its load limit. I have two 10 lb monitors, a laptop, and a ~50+ lb workstation PC. I’m struggling to find an affordable desk that can safely fit all of that with room for me to work.
I work with cables that can’t exceed 1M from monitor to PC. I’d also like to add speakers at some point. I don’t care about aesthetics as long as it’s not metal surface.
Should I give up and build a desk (s) using IKEA parts or similar? Everything under $500 looks like it would collapse if I sat on it, or like I wouldn’t be able to fit everything. Open to literally any ideas, including multiple furniture pieces or used parts. I just don’t know where to look (US).

I got the Xiaomi light bar. I was not convinced about its benefits initially, but after one day of using it, I'm starting to feel less eye strain and love the ambient light. My only concern is that I have AOC q27g3xmn, and it's on the thick side. The light bar stand may be pressing too hard on the screen. Hopefully, it will be okay since the stand only covers the bezel (see sample pics).
Has anyone experienced any issues with their monitor over time?
I shared some actual pics. There's no glare, and overall, it's a good buy for me. How's your experience using it?
My problem is as follows. I am currently using a desk that sits on top of two IKEA Alex drawers. While sitting, the height is perfect for me. I would love to have a standing option though.
I would like to keep the Alex drawers and due to limited space, I would like them to remain under the desk.
With their metal construction, all the standing desk frames I find would add 5 cm or so to the height of my desk. Is there an option I am missing?
I’ve had the Karlsby for about 4 years. Was thinking that I’d like a desk top that is deeper? Any suggestions, Ikea or otherwise? TIA
Just set up my new desk, any suggestions in improving the space. Thinking about putting a shelf on the wall above.
Just finished building my first-ever home office after moving to a new state and starting a remote job. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out for now! The tabletop is 72 x 30, and flipping that thing over nearly broke my back lol
