I was chosen as a finalist for the Johnson scholarship. Does this mean I have a decent chance of getting into the school? I applied as a regular decision applicant.
Whats the acceptance rate on this if anyone knows?
Hi guys!!
Does anyone know when the Johnson Scholarship finalists will be announced? From looking at previous years, it usually comes out in the first week of February. Does anyone know an exact date?
Best of Luck!
I got deferred from Washington and Lee ed2. Pretty surprised I stood a chance at one of my dream schools.
What do I do now, do they take letter of continued interest? Please Help!
Thanks!
I would really appreciate your feedback.
ED1 Accepted International Student here.
Looking to major in Math and Economics. Was wondering how rigorous the Maths major is. Also, how's the CS Department?
I believe Economics Department is quite good.
Hey guys just got rejected in the ED2 pool haven't heard of any other internationals getting in out of the people who got in ED2 how many of you were domestic students and how many were international
I just saw the email about results coming out tmrw, and I'm lowkey having a panic attack about not being accepted even before results come out lol... So I was just wondering what is the acceptance rate for EDII so that I can prepare myself mentally better. Thanks, and I hope yall get great news

Let's just hope they send it on time, not like the CSS lol
GL everyone!
Hi guys, so I applied to wlu for ed2 and request a fee waiver for css but got rejected. I'm seeing everywhere that if the css gets rejected, the application is basically rejected too. I've seen people recommending that those who applied ed2 and got their css waiver rejected, defer their application to rd instead as that would be better. I am thinking of it and I am going to ask my counselor to defer it to rd instead but I want your opinion on it. What do you guys think? Is it worth it or should my application just stay as ed2?
So Wash Lee provided CSS waivers to majority of the ED1 applicants . But it did not provide the waivers to ED2 applicants. This is because of only one reason wash lee never would have expected to recieve this huge amount of applicants after they have declared as Need Blind.
Anyone?
It is not clearly mentioned that im rejected or not
Does really the CSS fee waiver process is like an initial review for the admission process and if I got rejected from the fee waiver I should defer my application to the rd?
Can anyone who got accepted in the ED1 tell us if it is critical or should I change the application plan?
Has anyone received their css fee waiver yet? Anyone that applied ed2
If the short answer is "they don't," then my follow-up is: how painful is this segregation for students who don't join?
For context: I'm an int'l student from Eastern Europe, hoping to get a full-tuition at W&L. I'm a super social person and really want to find a community, network, and enjoy all the classic perks of college life. But I'm definitely not ready to drop 10 grand a year for that. How big of a deal is this?
I mean, I can’t be the only one in this situation: W&L is need-blind for int'ls and overall pretty generous with aid. So how do all these folks fit into the university’s social scene without Greek life?
p.s. also, how diverse are fraternities at W&L? I respect solid parties, traditions, and hardcore challenges, yet I’m not exactly eager to drink myself unconscious every week.
I applied ed2 as well as for the Johnson scholarship. When am I likely to hear back from them regarding both?
can someone pls go through my 250 word supplement id rllly appreciate it
Anyone who applied for the css profile fee waiver and has got one, for ed2
I have heard that top firms in Wall Street like Citadel, Jane Street only hire from Ivies. How is the reputation of W&L in such fields.
Also, how is the entrepreneur culture at W&L? Like any successful alumni who made it big from startups, businesses etc?
PS: I am an ED1 Admitted Student and I've already enrolled. I am more inclined towards business/entrepreneurship/finance stuffs. The website has very little information on student's outcomes in these fields.
Hello, I applied to W&L as an international for the ED round bur got deffered to RD. Do I still have a chance of getting accepted or is it over? I have submitted an increased December SAT score from 1500 to 1530 (770 rw and 760 maths). Is there anything else I can do to boost my chances?
Hi. So I have applied RD and I am thinking about submitting the video supplemental. I want to know if I have to record it in the portal meaning I could only stay at my room and narrate the story. Or if there is option to upload pre recorded video then I will tell the story with lot of cuts kinda like the Brown supplement one. Thanks
I can submit the video and text short supplements till the deadline right as mentioned on their main website or will I have to do it till the submission deadline of RD which is 1 st January.
Is an overall band 7 in ielts [L:8, R:6.5, W:7, S:6] going to affect my application if I applied with it? as the recommended requirement is 7.5 on the website. However, I got the option to apply with an English Proficiency waiver as the main language of instruction in my school is English.
Hey, I am an international student who was deferred from reed for ed1 solely for my need (they said that they would've accepted me if I could pay some and their acceptance rate for internationals is less than 5%) I was thinking of applying to w&l ed2 and I've wrapped up my application as well. I got on reddit right before I was gonna send my application and saw people mentioning that the acceptance rate for internationals is 3% at w&l. Can someone confirm that please? Bc if it is, I would rather apply somewhere else with slightly higher acceptance rate for internationals. Thank youuu
I’m looking for someone to review my supplemental essays. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Please feel free to comment or DM me if you’re willing to help.
Thank you so much! 😊
