A subreddit for people who love and create wire wrapped goodies, jewelry and whatnot. A friendly place to post your questions, comments, pictures, and tutorials.
1) Please be kind to your fellow artists/admirers. If someone asks for criticism, please keep it constructive and kind. We're here to share, not get torn apart!
2) Tutorials are a big help to the community and posting them is highly encouraged.
3) There are no stupid questions. Ask away.
4) Please do not link directly to stores in the title/subject. You may link to stores in the comments, preferably your own. Keep phrases like "for sale, available, etsy" and other site names out of the titles.
5) Please keep photos free of distorting filters and text except a watermark. We're here to see the handcrafted artwork. :)
6) Have fun in here! Don't disparage your fellow redditors!
7) Please keep sales, trades, raffles and the like out of these posts! Thanks all!! There is a whole subreddit dedicated to selling and buying wire wrapped goods! :)

Hi glorious wrappers. I’m glad to have just discovered this sub and your amazing work. I’m in awe. I got some glass pebbles to practice some wraps but don’t know where to start ? Could any of you suggest a tutorial or any guidance? I’m itching to get started and really appreciate any help ✨
It might be time to buy more wires and new stones... 🤣
I just started learning basic wire wrapping from YouTube--as in, last week--and I'm having a lot of fun, but my rings aren't very comfortable yet. Part of the problem is that I've been making them too loose, which I'll fix. But all of them are a little bit scratchy and uncomfortable. I think that, in trying to make sure that the wire ends stay out of sight, I've wrapped them so that they'll be right against my skin. Can anyone give me good advice?
My best friend started wire wrapping last year-ish and she is amazing. We sell them at our shop and they sell so fast. Right now she is using a single wire. The thing is, I know she wants to learn how to make the beautiful woven pieces like I see you guys make on here but she doesn’t have the confidence. When I show her pieces like that she always says “I wish I could do that but that is beyond my skill set”
I would like to encourage her to even just try it because she didn’t think she could wire wrap at all and she can now. What are good ways to encourage her to try it? I can show her tutorial videos until I’m blue in the face, but I’m not a wire wrapper, I just do macrame and beading so I know it’s not the same coming from me. Any advice would be so appreciated. She’s such an amazing human, and one of the most talented jewelry makers I know, and I wish she saw that in herself
She doesn’t use reddit but I had to post it 😅
Just finished reworking this piece and am super pleased how it turned out!
Hey y’all! I’m extremely new to wire weaving and so far I’m really enjoying it. I’ve had some trouble finishing up the ends of the knit. The loops always seem uneven and I often can’t get every loop through the clasp and/or jump ring. Is this something that’ll clear up with practice or am I missing some techniques here. The pic is my third attempt at a bracelet. Not bad considering I picked this hobby up yesterday:)
Ty!

And I mean really novice. It seems I only see them in quite intricate wrappings that are far above my skill level. Is there any way, or do I just have to go back to larger stones that can be done with low skill level?
Also, if anyone has a link on a simple tutorial to wrap a moldavite with 22g wire (it's all I have), I'd be super greatful, mine arrive in the mail today and I want to wear ASAP! Don't need it to be fancy, the simpler the better. It's kind of the half-circle shape.
