This game has been out for nearly 20 years and I'm still playing this game, all thanks to the Special Edition mod.

I like that they compared it to Mario Kart than F-Zero.

(also, based on WP2048, the supposed racing hovercars should be out by next year)

The Omega Collection is very fun. As of writing I’ve just completed the 2048 Cup. This game looks like one I’ll enjoy a lot. Tips and tricks are greatly appreciated!

I’m a new player who just got the Omega collection off of PS+. Is it worth my time?

Started playing in the XL / 2097 days, which for me is still the most perfected title of the series. The point of the Wipeout series is the sophisticated hover and drift physics at high speed, which no other antigravity racer I’ve played is as satisfying to master.

It always bothers me seeing the craft referred to as “ships.” Just because it sounds kind of lame for what they actually are. They are not ships- they do not transport goods or people long distances, and they do not go to outer space. They don’t usually move higher than a few feet off the track. In the world of Wipeout, they would have been invented purely for sport. They drive most similarly to a jet ski or a speedboat, but without the resistance or clunkiness of water propulsion. But they are piloted like a luge or a bobsled, through twisting tracks with banked corners and steep declines.

I’ve always thought of them as a “hover sled” or “rocket sled”.

Any other ideas?

I just got a second hand ps4 slim to play wipeout and street fighter 6.

After being purchasable via console only, does WipeOut go on sale? I could swear that it was on sale earlier this month/last month but I didn't have my ps4 then.

Are any of the games possible to emulate on windows and play split screen with 2 controllers? Thanks
