Coming to visit family next month looking for reasonable price hotel any suggestions or places to avoid?
I heard through the grapevine that ICE had visited Trex in town - does anyone have any information/confirmation about that?
If anyone is interested there is a Star Wars unlimited tournament at fourth and goal in Winchester this Saturday from 4-7pm. 5$ to play (I think) because winners get packs. No experience is necessary as you can play (and be competitive) with a starter deck you can purchase from the store. Most players are very casual and will help you learn the rules as you play. Anyone familiar with trading card games like Magic will be able to pick the game up pretty easily! Let me know if you want to join us and I’ll send some starter pack recommendations and help to get started playing. (Also we do regular weekly play same time most Saturdays. We are a very chill group!)
Does anyone know of any local companies that would pick up/haul away an old box spring/mattresses etc for a reasonable cost?
thanks.
Alamo Drafthouse's Winchester, Virginia location is getting started with regular open caption screenings (on-screen subtitles). The first one is an open caption screening of Dog Man on Wednesday, February 5 at 3:15 pm! Here's a screenshot of how Alamo is listing it on their website. (There are three other screenings on February 5 that don't have open captions.)
I could use a hand getting a mattress up to a second floor apartment. Shouldn’t take 10 minutes sometime this week would be super.
Thinking of moving to Winchester, but I was wondering if there were any great neighborhoods or walkable areas with a lot of restaurants besides the pedestrian mall area.
I’m turning to my Reddit neighbors in Winchester for help finding a local fencing company that is dependable and does good work.
My priority is a quality finished product, but it’s a huge bonus if they also have experience building fences that conform to Winchester’s fence design regulations for height and visibility within the downtown area. (My home is old, but not designated as “historic,” nor is it located in the “historic” district.)
I’ll also accept words of warning about fence builders who do shoddy work or who demonstrate—or have a reputation for—a lack of professionalism.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Has anyone ever done the adult behind the wheel with On the road driving school for license? If so any pros or cons? What is it like? Do you really do the road skills test with them as it says on their site?
Thanks.
I’m going to Bryce resort tomorrow at opening. If you snowboard or ski and want to join lmk and I can pick you up but you have to get your lift ticket and rental if you need to rent. PM me for more.
I’m looking for a spa in the area that offers facials and massages. Any recommendations for places with a relaxing vibe and excellent services?
Thanks so much!
What are your thoughts?
Hey everyone. My name is Erik. Moved here a few months ago and liking the town so far. I am a long time DM both in person and online and now that I am settled in I'd like to get a game going.
I have a bedroom in my apartment that I have turned into a D&D room. I got a table, props, lighting, music.
I have my own 3D printer and make my own minis and terrain. This is all to say that I really enjoy the hobby and hope to find people who also feel the same.
I cook and my partner bakes and we often serve dinner/snacks at game time.
I am open to all types of people no matter who you are unless your a nazi or some shit like that. I myself am pretty outgoing and experienced but its okay if your a more introverted type or if your new to the game.
I am open to running most any type of game depending on what people like. I am looking right now to play maybe once a month since I am finishing up another online game. Once that concludes Id be open to running a more frequent in person campaign.
If your interested comment or shoot me a message!

We don’t have cable, only sling, and sling doesn’t carry Fox. So where in town is the absolute BEST to watch the game tonight? Best food and drink specials? Best experience overall?
Supposed to hold a presentation about it. Can't find anything. Send help. I can't fail my English class because then I'll have to retake this semester. Does anyone here know something about it? Google has betrayed me and doesn't show me anything. Does it even exist? Has anyone here been there? If anyone knows anything about it, pls comment
Anyone down for cosmic bowling tonight hmu
I have no plans tonight and no girlfriend so what am I gonna do after dinner to celebrate 😫😫and probably alone
Got the re-assessment notice in the mail and my house is now assessed at 433k. That comes out to around $4,000 a year in real estate taxes. The best info online from the city/county that I could find was that this first increase was part of an approved 5 year plan to increase Real Estate values by 100%.
So this means in 4 more years, my same house is assessed at 700k or so, if it was a 100% increase over five years, right? This is going to start hitting lower income people, and the elderly, if it hasn't already.
Does anyone who have experience with this sort of things in other high tax areas know if there is any kind of program or something to give any relief at all?
I'm thinking of people like my Grandma, who probably isn't making enough in social security to pay $6k in Real Estate taxes a year, as she is already doing over 3k now.
Can it just keep going up and up? Will the same houses in 10 years be valued at/over 1 million if the rates just keep climbing?
I am possibly looking to take my wife up to Winchester over valentine's day. Any recommendations for a restaurant. We live in Orange, so I am not that familiar with Winchester.
Anyone else have sword/shield to join me and my friend for legendary raids at the crown tundra?
Hey yall, I'm new to the area and while I don't live right in Winchester (out in an isolated area), I am looking to make some new friends and come into town for some trivia nights in February. Please comment or DM if you'd be interested in teaming up for a night! Fyi in general my best knowledge area is music..some sports and geography..
Saw this like GMC Sonoma from early 2000’s, ladder rack, construction light on top, and decals on the doors and tailgate that said “Fake Utility Vehicle, Plumbing, Electrical Ect”
I’m so confused.
Hello,
Looking for recommendations on in-ground pool installers, ideally fiberglass. We have been very surprised as we're looking at how few companies respond back once you submit an inquiry. Would love to hear of some companies in the area you recommend!
