Hi guys I’m transferring to w&m as a transfer student, I’m going to major in biology and I want to know how it is to be a premed at w&m and what are some tips to excel in science related courses.
Apologies if this has already been posted, William and Mary is one of my top options but I kinda want a student perspective on this?
Hello I am gonna be visiting my parents for a few weeks and am looking for places to study, anyone know of anywhere nice?
i’ve heard that the bars like the green leaf and college delly are impossible to get into if you’re under 21, but is this true? if you’re 18+ can you get in?
Apologize for another one of these but I want the hard truth

Ik my gpa is a lil low but I showed improvement ending with a 4.0 junior year, i'm doing well senior year too
Got my essay and supplementals checked out by my lit teacher and some college friends so hopefully its good
How low are my chances?
I’m taking some pretty work heavy courses at Sarah Lawrence college and my transcript comes with “evaluations”. I currently have an A in physics an A in Psychology and an A in Italian Literature. I have three letters of recommendation 2 from professors 1 from an employer. I also have some special circumstances that are impacting my academics that I’ve made admissions aware of as they are pretty intense (Im in the middle of pressing charges and a court thing against my ex). Do you think getting A’s and including the circumstances makes my application look good? Is it ill-advised to include a rec letter from a senior year of his teacher I was really close with? I had an interview with Dean Pinier that I feel went really well and I’ve attended two transfer information sessions on top of that. Any former admissions officers with good insight?
Has anyone taken ECON 102 through WM summer classes? How hard was it, and would I be able to balance it with an internship? And how do they administer tests, given that it's remote?
How competitive is it to apply RD and being OOS for W&M?
do I have a chance/advice for admissions?
I feel like I’m doing pretty well overall however, my weakest part is definitely my gpa. In addition, I plan on applying test optional.

I was admitted as a transfer student for Spring 2025 (!) and just got my aid award letter. My family's SAI is -1500, but they still quoted me around $40k a year (lol). I really love W&M, but I just can't justify that cost. I understand aid is way harder to get for transfer students though. I'm also out of state.
Has anyone sent in an appeal to any success? Am I basically SOL? Is it a terrible idea for me to reach out and ask, would they be mad at me? If you successfully sent an appeal, how did you do it?
Thank you so much in advance! Much love to you all and your lovely school.
Last week I got accepted to WM for Spring 2025 transfer admission. I know I need to ask the various offices these questions, but just wondering if anyone has any input:
I was planning to take a 2 credit research class but it would make my schedule a lot easier if it was 3. Now I’m wondering how exactly the credit hours for research classes are determined
hi tribe both past and present,
i’m looking to get info/a story from a student who went by the online persona “ned’s younger bro” and maintained a site called “broslikethissite . com” circa 2010
does this conjure up any memories for you? if so, message me and do any alumni have any info or can get me in contact with him?
I sent an email three weeks ago inquiring about research opportunities with no response and was about to write a follow up email but would it be bad form to send it right before thanksgiving break when they probs wont want to be working/responding to emails over break? sorry if its a stupid question lol
I recently got off the waitlist for a lab section but wasn't able to accept the seat because I am currently registered for another lab section. However, when I tried to drop the section I am currently in, PATH wouldn't allow me to because I would have to also drop the co-requisite courses (the lecture and discussion) which I do not want to do. Is there any way to get around this????
I'm not joking, the non-WM related posts are getting annoying. I know there was previously an issue with a dropshipper (?) selling "Tribe t-shirts", recently there have been random people writing spam posts, and I personally think the chance me posts are getting out of control.
I know none of the mods have been active in years, but is there a way to get actual mods?
This class fits topics I'm interested in, and it's a COLL 200 NQR, but I don't know much about the professor (Aubin), and I'm not sure how difficult the class will be. Any advice?
there are more lab sections than class sections and I can’t figure out which lab corresponds to which course. they’re all with the same instructor and at varying times. I’m in the 10-10:50 section (section 2).
I'm looking to take CS elctives preferably that are relatively easy. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Does anybody have any specifics about being in Valdes's Intermediate Microecon class or Shrestha's Macroeconomics class? Thanks!
I am a freshman trying to register for classes right now, and I can’t find the answer to this question anywhere. Where are the 101 language classes? All of the language classes say that there’s a prerequisite of the 101 language class, HOWEVER the classes DONT EXIST. Please help
Is she good or not so good? I have no prior experience in geology and know nothing about it
i’m applying in state rd, with a pretty low gpa (4.076w) in comparison to my classmates. i’m also applying test optional. my ecs, essays are very good, but is the stat stuff an immediate no to me getting in? for context, the bad stuff is from sophomore year, but i got all As and A- junior year
I've never done those yoga/spin/whatever classes but am super interested, especially in going to a structured class that keeps me accountable (I was an athlete in high school but never really worked out on my own).
Basically, those classes usually say "not happening" or they only happen on one day, despite showing up on the Campus Rec calendar. What's that about? Thanks!
