The mostly annual tradition continues!
Tix available at the Largo site…
He’s playing four nights (hopefully again with a comedian opening each night.) See you at the Friday night show!
Got an extra GA ticket. Can't transfer so you'd have to enter with me. Would like to get face value.
Hey Wilco fans selling 2 GA TICKETS for the Friday show! $130 for two tickets. Thank you!
I will be in Tulsa for the 12/10-12/11 Wilco shows at Cains. I’m searching for a ticket to attend the Jeff Tweedy book signing at the Woody Guthrie Center on 12/11 if anyone can assist. Thanks!
I will be in Tulsa for the 12/10-12/11 shows at Cains. I’m searching for a ticket to attend the Jeff Tweedy book signing at The Woody Guthrie Center on the afternoon of 12/11 if anyone can be of assistance.
Jeff Tweedy wrote these lyrics just a few years ago...
All my life I've played a part
In the bombs above the ones you love
I'm taking a moment to apologize
I should have done more to stop the war
So I'm sorry
And today he has nothing to say about the US's full on support of Israel's ongoing assault on Gaza. As far as I know he hasn't cosigned any open letters/petitions calling out the US Government for its support of this slaughter (Wilco did this as a band to protest the Iraq War in 2003). Spencer Tweedy, for his part, has spoken out at times and often likes/boosts accounts advocating for a ceasefire and exposing Israel's crimes against humanity.
Don't get me wrong. I don't usually care what artists believe or don't believe or don't give a shit about. I like some conservative artists--especially authors and directors. It is what it is. But Jeff fancies himself a left wing activist of sorts (and good for him and the positions he's taken in the past). In recent years he's released "All Lives, You Say?," "Ten Dead," and "Bombs Above." But on the issue of I/P, one that requires one to go out on a limb, he's avoided talking 14 months.
It's really disappointing and cowardly, especially when you consider we're in a situation in where regular folks and students are at risk of losing their jobs, being expelled, having their visas revoked, and potentially being jailed for their advocacy.
I don't really want to hear about his other family members and their Zionist beliefs. If anything, that should motivate Jeff to be more vocal about what he believes. They're all adults. They go out on the internet and give interviews and bring shame to Jeff and Spencer and Wilco. If he does agree with their Zionist views, fine. As of now, though, it just feels as if he's protecting the bottom line.
During the encore tonight, they took requests of any song that people wanted to hear, including Bruce Hornsby, The Pogues, White Stripes, Elvis Costello, and this one.
I love the sound of the acoustic guitars on being there. I’m sure part of it is how they recorded them, but wondering if anyone know what Jeff was playing during these sessions
Did they get crap for using AI art or something?
Does anyone have a copy/recording of Tweedy’s Austin City Limits performance that followed Sukirae? The episode is blocked on the PBS app with no explanation and I can only find some of the songs individually on YouTube. It’s a very tapped in performance with some great players - Darin Gray, James Elkington, and Lucius among them.
The super deluxe version of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was split into 2 albums (now seemingly rejoined as one) but the live St Louis recordings have now just completely disappeared for me, anyone else notice this? I just want my live Laminated Cat and Pot Kettle Black back
I made a Wilco lyric bot on Bluesky too! It will post a Wilco lyric every hour-- fingers crossed it stays working! I thought about calling it Sky Blue Sky Bot, but decided to keep it just as @/WilcoBot. Follow for a little bit of Wilco on your feed!

Also, I'm just learning a little bit of Python and thought making a Twitter bot that worked with its insane, demagogue owner-implemented API could be an interesting challenge! I'm sorry that it stirred people up in here; I really was just trying to make something fun on the Internet.
I'm somebody now! Hot Sun, Cool Shroud What can I do?
Warm, Yellow Wax
Hi, y'all! I made an automated Twitter that tweets out a Wilco lyric every hour. I'd been wanting to do this for a good while, but with Twitter's API changes, I've had a hard time getting it to work. However, it looks like it's up and working now.

Hey gang! We’re a new band formed out of love for Wilco, Big Thief, Pinegrove and Dylan - to name a few:) This is the live version of our second single we just released, called Found Me. I wrote it about a hitch-hiking trip from Vienna to Budapest last winter, sleeping in parks with a burgeoning love at the time. It’s got some buckets of rain and YankeeHFT in there I feel.
We’re huge fans of Wilco, and their recording process and figured the best ears to offer our music to would be fellow fans. We’d be grateful to hear what you think! - Pádraig
Here’s a link to the Spotify version if you so please: https://open.spotify.com/track/0r2IS83zpHJ58TOrPNdUk8?si=eSiZ7nydSC-V8Q5JFMIwdQ
Are they still a thing? Looking online, I can't find anything recent. Not even any shows planned for Jay solo.
took this pic last summer and just shifted the color scheme to match the album cover!
Anyone have an idea why?
Tooling around the internets I just stumbled on this mix from YHF. Most of these songs are new to me and not on the multiple box sets recently released. Some really cool live versions I’ve never heard before.
