I’m going to the Chicago contestant search on Saturday and I’m super nervous. For those of you that were on the show, what advice can you give to help wow the producers?
How can this prize be worth $15k?!
I don't think I saw Maggie do the segment. Unless I got distracted or something
Wheel masters, I hope this isn't too basic. But this puzzles me:
At the end of the first commercial break, there's an ad for Prevagen. Then the show comes back, the announcer says,"10 thousand dollars!" and the game resumes.
What does this mean? Is my local station cutting off some kind of explanation (every single night)? What is the ten thousand dollars?
Thanks for your help.
So I told a friend of mine that has discussed WOF with me in the past that I’m going to do an audition. And he told me not to use the N-word. I immediately thought of that awful whole South Park episode but it seems people have used foul language, racial slurs on air…why? Because it’s “their” big moment on TV? Because they want to get a reaction out of the host hosts? It’s insane to me.
The players were good, not too many bankruptcy or lose a turns and a decent amount of money won! And I didn't scream at my television lol
It seems like every time someone goes for every letter instead of solving they get a raw deal. Shawn did it tonight and got a great bit of money to start but then his luck ended (bankrupts). the wheel handed his neighbor big hits all night and she was lucky to get to the prize puzzle and bonus round.
I like it. Maybe it’s not the first time she’s worn pants but it’s the first time I’ve seen her wear them.
I can’t believe that Ryan dresses so casually as Vanna is in a gown and sometimes he’s not even in a tie. Between that and his hands always in his pockets, he’s taking a show that had class down. Yes, he’s making some mistakes but I think he’s learning he just needs to try and remember things without the contestants knowing things before he does, such as throwing the cards away when hitting a bankrupt and knowing whether or not a letter is there.
I’m hoping someone can give me some information on the Zoom auditions!
Last week I applied to be on the show, and today I received an email for a 10-minute Zoom audition. When I selected my date and time, I noticed there were spaces for up to 5 people per time slot.
The body of the email says I have been selected to participate in a WOF virtual contestant audition.
Is this a group meet & greet? Or will we be solving puzzles? Just curious since this is the first audition I will be participating in and I want to be as prepared as possible!
Thanks, everyone!! 😊
You probably know the drill by now, but because the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl again, local station WDAF FOX 4 will be airing daily Chiefs hype specials in WOF's time slot for over a week.
WOF will not air in Kansas City starting this Friday, Janaury 31, and won't return until after the Super Bowl on Monday, February 10.
WOF is the only program WDAF bumps for these specials; Jeopardy! still airs twice a day in its normal time slots, including its six-week-old repeat airing, while at least six new WOF episodes get the shaft. This is yet another example of the frequent unfair treatment WOF gets from local stations compared to other shows, even when it's the only show that doesn't get to air twice a day (discounting GSN). They do this every year the Chiefs make the Super Bowl. Philly will also likely lose WOF on WPVI ABC 6 either the Thursday or Friday before the Super Bowl for Eagles hype (Thursday is the best day for ratings and Friday is generally the worst), but it won't be for the whole week.
If any Kansas City fans miss these episodes, DM me so I can send them to you. Or you could drive West to the Topeka market where WOF will still air as normal on WIBW CBS 13.
Someone saying I & G on a “What Are You Doing” final puzzle.
After Rebecca was talking about bagels, my TV went black for a nano second. Was that an edit cut or TV glitch? Did yours do that? (Tonight)
About a week ago, a guy won the bonus round, and he was so excited that he gave Ryan a big hug that took him down. It was hilarious and I wanted to show it to my wife. But that episode is not showing up in the Xfinity replays. Does anyone know which episode I'm talking about and can possibly find that clip? I'd be most grateful.
I've seen this happen once or two during Ryan's Run of WoF? But, I don't know why it just irks me when someone wants to solve during Speed up before calling a letter, and doesn't want to bank more money.
Just had my initial interview with Richard tonight! I think I did awful but who knows 🤷♀️ everyone else seemed way cooler than me!
Is anyone else unable to watch WOF from the Spectrum App due to programming restrictions? I can't even watch if I use the NBC app with my Spectrum Credentials. Does this happen to others? I hate missing episodes when I'm on the go!
Did the show lose funding? No offense to people that live there, but if I won a trip to Williamsburg, Virginia, I'd ask for the money instead!
Just found out that wheel is coming to Chicago and going to be at the auto show. Anything I need to know? Should I not tell them I met Vanna when I was three years old? Lol.
That lady is not playing golf or going on a roller coaster. Why have their trips been so lame this season? I don’t recall such awful destinations on previous seasons. Hawaii and Alaska were the only domestic locations on previous seasons.
Specifically looking to watch episodes with Ryan Seacrest
Just found this interesting because I’ve never seen this before on the actual show. If you were to figure out the puzzle before calling any letters, if you called F G W and O, you would fill in the entire puzzle, Off We Go!
Ever since Ryan Seacrest took over for Pat Sajak, in recent episodes I've been watching, I've been discovering that Ryan has been forgetting to remind the player to dump the wild card after landing on bankrupt on tonight's show (The player dumped the wild card before commercial just so you know that). Pat never reminded the player they lost the wild card in early appearances during season 24 in which notoriously in a "Teen Best Friends" episode in January 2007, after the team landed on Bankrupt, he did not remind the team to hand in their wild card and they later brought it to the bonus round (they did not solve the bonus puzzle in the process). I'm not sure if he's been forgetting too much or he's just being lazy to remind the player.
Why does everyone seem to pick phrase for the bonus round??
I’ve signed my mother up and helped with her audition. She’s now on the roster of contestants waiting to be called to the show.
What should she expect once she gets there?
I‘ve heard that during the first quick zoom interview, they’ll ask you to stick around to invite you to the second interview if you are advancing.
Is that always the case? Just seems like they have so many interviews back to back to back.
