Recent storms in my area. Need a good UPS with good surge protection.
I recently started getting hot flashes a few months ago and have been having trouble sleeping. I tried getting the new Ghostpillow down alternative and it has too much loft and woke up with a sweaty neck.
Part of the problem I know is prolly my sheets/pillowcase since they have a "sateen finish" but I end up with a very hot neck lately no matter what pillow I use. Would you folks know of a down alternative pillow for a back sleeper for someone who's about 5'6 and runs about 190 lbs? Thanks. Rather buy a pillow before I return that one and get it right this time!
And yes, I'm gonna either get ikea sheets or find me some cotton percele sheets without the sateen. I'm TIRED of sleeping sweaty and being either too hot or too cold..
Hey!
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but
I’m interested (or rather need) to get a new laptop. I’m a very basic level user, but I’m not familiar enough with matching my needs to the right kind of device.
I’d be using it for; virtual work (sales and management software), recording music (would love recommendations on any apps etc), and otherwise general use (ie facebook, word etc).
I have no brand preference, however I don’t particularly enjoy chrome books, and am definitely a fan of windows (no hate). I’d probably like something smaller, although I would definitely use a bigger screen if it was worth it for movies.
My max budget I suppose would be $500, although I’d really only like to spend $200-300. If I have to go up in price please let me know, the last time I purchased a laptop was in 2007.
Thank you in advance for help!
Looking into some with steel toes and metatarsal guards.
I thought maybe this would be a good place to start, and then perhaps I could go to a more tech-centric place---
I recently became interested in being able to take tactile notes and have them be available with the rest of my digital files.
I've tried the Rocketbook with Pilot FriXion pens. it's okay, but the slick pages and wet marker like ink sometimes runs and it's just not a good pen-to-paper experience (yet). It's okay for a quick note, but it's not a good experience writing with it for 2+ page sessions. I feel like if they improved the pen or the paper to hold the inl better it'd satisfy me, but right now it's not there.
Now I'm seeing all of these expensive devices coming out--- the Onyxbook. ReMarkable tablet, Sony Reader. They all seem very pricey. Like, might as well buy an iPad pricey.
Does anyone know what to look for in something that can be that half-way point between pen and paper and digital?
I've also seen the Wacom Bamboo? But it looks like that device hasn't been updated in a few years, which leads me to believe it's been abandoned or it's actually good for what it is.
I want hide away or at least small enough to move away and electric sounds like a good idea, but other than this, I don't know what I should be considering. Can anyone advise?
In a world where everyone's looking to bust a nut how do I see to it that my coverage is appropriate for me and that I'm simply not being nutted on month after month?
Need one for college, will be taking lots of intensive courses with 3 or 4 large textbooks total. I want it to last for 4 years.
For anyone interested in ethical fashion, please help me out by sharing what you value when shopping for underwear. It's a 10 questions survey; should only take 3-5 mins. Thanks! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8GWT7WC
I'd like to steam a buncha vegetables..was told doing so in a pressure cooker will reduce the steaming time significantly.
Besides for that..I don't know anything about pressure cookers, not more than a 1 day years old baby..well, take or less..
My sole purpose for purchasing it is for steaming, if that changes anything.. :)
It's for my room, I titled it office desk because I'm not looking for a desk with a contraption for the PC like in desktop desks...
What qualities should I look for? should it be wood or metal frame?.etc..
So I'm looking to buy an internal HDD to store movies on..something around 3-4 TB. are they all the same? probably not...but how do you choose?..
I'm looking to find a mini fridge and I don't know where to start.
I'm on my feet all dat for my job and the bottoms of my feet are killing me. I dot want to by new shoes because I work in a paint/pigment lab and they will surely be colorized. Right now I wear an old pair of running shoes. Nikes. I want inserts that are better than the dr scholls ones you can get from a drug store. There's no specific area of my foot that hurts, just the bottoms
Thanks
Hey, guys. I'm moving to an apartment without central air, so I need a way to keep my room from being a sweltering hellscape. Does anyone have opinions on AC units for windows, or even those tower-unit things?
Thanks!
Sometimes these are sold under the brand name Metro. They are available at a variety of places, at many different prices. Costco sells a number of configurations in the <$200 range. The Metro brand shelves at the container Container Store are $350-550. What is the difference?
About to move for the first time out of college. Never owned a washer or dryer. What should I look for?
So I'm looking for a platform, I want it to last me 20 years..so the word that I'm thinking of is - sturdy.
I don't know anything about woodwork, if I did I would have known what a sturdy platform looks like..or what kind of wood..you get it.
I don't want a platform with an headboard or with a footboard, but simply something which upon resting her eyes upon, a woman would find suitable for coitus, which I suspect is not the case right now..(mattress on the floor..)
So to help you help me - I can buy this

I'm looking to get a hatchet for camping/backpacking, but don't really know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't go out just to buy them, but I want to be ready to evaluate my options when I'm out.
I'm looking to buy a set of flatware for my new apartment. I've heard 18/10 stainless is good for life, but I'm not sure what brands are best. Does it matter if it's stainless?
Thanks.
