Hello, I am currently a senior, and started my application as soon as the application window opened. I recieved a completed packet email on November 25th, and I was wondering how my chances of getting in are. All my life I wanted to attend West Point, so dedicating everything to my application was important. I would really appreciate it if I could get some feedback on my chances?

If i get in, i was wondering if there are opportunities for football staff positions such as managment and things like that. Does anyone have any experience with this or know any cadets that are employees of the program? I have some experience as a varsity football manager already.
I need to submit my cfa pull up video for wp and I am not sure if my form is good enough (for female). I watched a bunch of male cfa videos and female videos but the females' form was not exactly like the male ones. The jaw was not exactly parallel to the bar. (more like the chin was above the bar). Would that still be acceptable? Thank you.
If the “Mascot” is the Black Knights, why is there a Greek Spartan helmet on the logo?
Just curious on my chances, I am a black female from a non-competitive school in MD.

I passed my CFA and have done all my interviews Awaiting a nomination and am in the process of getting a waiver.
What are the advice of females especially the ones who aren't athleticly gifted who made it into Westpoint?
I recently discovered the fact that I want to attend WP. I thought about it before but didn't really put too much thought into it until probably two weeks ago
I need the recommendations from the representatives of NY, but as of now, the deadlines for the applications have passed for them, and as a senior in high school I cannot receive nominations at this point because of the deadlines
Is there a way I can still apply to WP for becoming a part of Class of 2029 at this point? Can I wait until next year to apply? Is there a prep school I should attend before going to WP?
I'm not interested in ROTC at the colleges I've applied to, I want to receive my education at WP and be a part of the academy, not attend another college and train to become an officer on the side.
I understand I realized way too late, but I'm just wondering if there's a possibility that I can still make it. I've been thinking about it a lot, and I just want some answers to help me get a perspective on my situation. I'm really excited to have the chance of going to WP and having the education and opportunities that I've been searching for.
Information if you want:
Senior in high school, graduating June 2025
Taking multiple dual-enrollment classes (College courses for Pre-Calculus, English, and Spanish language)
Taking IB History, PLTW Principles of Engineering
I aspire to study engineering, but I'm not completely sure of what field of engineering just yet.
Boy scout of 7 years, currently working on Eagle Scout project. I have held positions of Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Den Chief, Senior Patrol Leader, and Junior Assistant Scout Master (current position). I have more than 200 hours of community service.
I do not play sports competitively, but I often gather with friends and play sports, and practice with a local soccer team. I did JV wrestling in sophomore year of high school.
I play multiple instruments, love learning about technologies and mechanics, and I love militaristic history (learning about wars and conflicts)
Hey guys. I'm currently applying to WP and I had a couple questions about the marching band, specifically the drumline. I has hoping to try out for it if I got in and I wanted to know how hard tryouts are, what to expect for tryouts and the marching season (although from what I can tell, it's just a prep band that doesn't march or compete) and if I can even tryout as a plebe. I play some snare and am learning quads. Thank you so much.
Does the Exchange store at West Point sell U.S.A.F. Service coats? I'm a CAP Cadet and I need a service coat but I was wondering if they have any for sale there.
Looking for the 2018 1st infantry division big red one West Point football jersey, can’t find it anywhere to purchase (I know it was almost 7 years ago now). Let me know!
Hello everyone! I’m currently a junior in HS and plan on applying to the service academies when the time comes. One area I have of concern is that my HS doesn’t offer any Varsity sports.
I considered this going into HS, so I got involved in my local city’s Lacrosse Club, did Wrestling/Jiu Jitsu and compete in it. Unfortunately, I had to stop playing lacrosse and BJJ due to financial reasons, but I plan on returning to BJJ in early 2025.
I started a “Running Club” at my school. It’s not meant for competition/racing other schools, but rather for personal health. We also helped raise money for an Autism foundation by hosting a 5k.
I was wondering if this could somewhat make up for my lack of involvement in Varsity sports. Could I still get into USAFA/NA/MA? What about the prep schools?
I’m also an Eagle Scout, been Senior Patrol Leader, a part of a Rescue program recognized by the state, and have recently joined my schools HOSA chapter. I scored a 1230 PSAT score recently (taking December SAT), have a 4.07 GPA, taken Dual Enrollment (A’s in Comp Sci, PSYCH, COMM), and plan on studying CS in college.
Please let me know on what I could work on for the time being!
I ETS in December and was looking into the MALO Program. I’ll be in the Active Reserve (Not IRR) and just wanted to know and hear about your experience being a MALO. Rewarding? Worth it?
Title basically sums it up. I was invited but the link to fill out the form doesn’t work and was wondering if anyone else had the same issue. Also wondering if USMA’s version of inspire is similar to USNA’s and if anyone who’s been enjoyed it.
I don't do any sports or anything like that but I am in JROTC say I become csm or higher in my JROTC for staff like battalion commander would that be a good example of leadership or do I have to do a sport or sum
Hello! I am a junior in high school planning to apply to west point as soon as applications open. I have a 3.6 gpa, a 1260 psat, and while I havent taken the act I would guess ~30 on that. I am a varsity runner in track and xc (along with xc team captain), a drum major in marching band, lead actor in all school plays, blood donor, and very active in my church.
While my state (South Dakota) is not particularly competitive, I am wondering how useful it would be to join the National Guard or Army Reserves as soon as I am 17 in order to boost my resume. I have sort of been planning on joining the guard, but I am not especially interested in being a guard member after I graduate West Point. Should I join the Guard and try to transfer, join the reserves and transfer much more easily, or do neither and try to make it in based solely on my resume?
Hey yall! Figured I’d see what others think of my resume so far as a high school sophomore.
ACADEMICS: 1390 PSAT(730 ELA, 660 math). Cumulative GPA: 4.75W/4.0UW. Designated honor roll every semester so far. Class rank: N/A, my school doesn’t do class rank but I’d guess top 5%. Course rigor: All honors(3) and AP(4) this school year. 9th grade I was in all honors besides for AP Human Geography.
ATHLETICS: Varsity letter winner and starter for lacrosse since freshman year. CFA: ~800(haven’t done a mock yet but I’d be genuinely shocked if I got less than a 750) I started running races over the past year, including the Army Ten Miler and I have a marathon scheduled in December. I am also really into strength training and lift 5 times per week alongside running.
ECs: Police Explorers Sergeant & PT leader. Multiple service awards/PD community involvement awards. FBI Teen Academy(I was sent for free by my PD). DECA(business club). Currently in the process of starting a political club.
OTHER: Dad is a disabled veteran after 20+ years of service active duty which helps me out big time according to everyone I’ve talked to.
Would taking college classes over the summer make up for my lack of class difficulty during the school year?
Hi everyone!
Do you guys know where I can look at westpoint essay examples, or get advice on how to write them? I know the prompts I just really want to see examples or advice given for writing them in the past.

Good morning all,
I’m an active duty sailor who is interested in applying to a service academy, however, USNA doesn’t really interest me. West Point seems up my alley, but I’m not sure if an enlisted SM from another branch can apply.
With that said, is it possible to get in as a Sailor?
Thanks in advance!
Can someone give me details on what life is like as a MALO? I recently got an email regarding becoming one. Plan on going to business school and am unsure how busy or overwhelming this could be.
Do you think i have a chance at getting into USMA or USNA? I have around a 3.4 gpa but i am a civil air patrol NCO, red cross member, volunteer firefighter and emt, S&R drone pilot, and i wrestle and play lacrosse and i am a Varsity football head manager. I understand that sat/act scores can somewhat compensate for a low gpa but my main issue is math as those are the classes i struggle with the most. (i usually maintain less than an 85 average) Assuming i still have around the same gpa when i graduate, would i even have any shot at making it?
I go to fairly one of the best public schools in america but the courses are tough and I have mostly Bs and some A-s from freshman yr last yr. Theres a school nearby which would allow me to take as many APs and honors as I want as long as I pass the placement tests and has JROTC the only problem being that it's a bad school with a ranking nationally around 1,000ths. Is it worth moving?? My courses this yr r so bad :(
Currently a junior in high school, 3.65 gpa (school has a tough grading scale, and I struggled in my freshman year to keep up with school due to family), 1500 psat, unsure on my ACT. I am taking 3 dual credit classes right now (unsure if that is common outside of south dakota), and I am a varsity athlete in cross country and track, member of NHS, actor in all our school plays, and a drum major in my school band. Planning to enlist in the SD national guard as soon as I turn 17. Do I have a chance?
