Does anyone know a friend or friend of a friend who flies somewhat regularly to PDX or Kelso, WA?
I’m looking to find someone that I can barter with or pay directly, instead of having to fly out of Pangborn Airport, which only goes to SeaTac via Alaska. My father-in-law is an electrician in the area, and I’m currently in the apprenticeship. Our family lives in Kelso and we try to go home every other week or as often as possible. The passes can get a little rough depending on the weather, so I’m hoping to find someone who we could join on the trip.
Thank you for your time!
Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get a cracked phone screen replaced in the area? I’m fairly new to Wenatchee and would love to know if there are any specific places that are cheap or at least price the service reasonably. I’m sure this won’t be the last time I need it. Thank you!!
Looking for someone to install a starter on a 2001 ford Taurus this afternoon. Dm with what you would charge.
Driving me crazy, what was the name of the VHS rental place in the 80’s.
It was locally owned, one of the first in the valley.
Maybe had 2 locations and then later had a Lake Chelan presence. The E. Wenatchee location was by Taco Time now Original J’s Teriyaki.
They had like life time membership for 99cents.
The owner also had other businesses or at least house rentals.
Looking for a good Christmas tree area close to town. Last 5+ years have gone up Blewitt. I prefer denser evergreens. Doug firs can be rather sparse. Live in East Wenatchee. I know I need to drive up in elevation, but don’t want to drive towards Leavenworth to do it.
Thanks in advance
Are there any groups around that play Warhammer 40K or Age of Sigmar or any other miniature based games? I have been dabbling in painting a bit but wouldn't mind having an actual reason to paint some miniatures.
My husband and I are visiting family this weekend and were hoping to find a shooting range that would be open this weekend. He’s a hobbyist, and I have some family members who enjoy hunting, so we thought it would be a fun outing. Most of the ranges we’ve seen online are private. Does anyone here know of a range that would be open this weekend and doesn’t require some sort of membership? Indoor ranges are preferred, but we’d be open to outdoor suggestions too. Thanks!
I just signed a lease on a new apartment for the first time in 5 years after living in my parents basement! So I'm looking for affordable furniture options in the area. I haven't had time to check out Habitat for Humanity yet or the YWCA shop's furniture selection, but aside from those, are there other used/discount/thrift store recommendations that might have decent condition furniture at reasonable prices? I've been scrolling Craigslist and FB marketplace and found some sweet deals, but still looking for end tables/coffee tables, a couch/loveseat/recliner for the living room, TV stand/entertainment center, and lots of lamps because I have no overhead lighting in the living room or bedroom. Any and all recommendations appreciated

Where do people go for the best whiskey selection? I typically buy from Costco or Winco, but would love a broader variety. Bonus points if the place has competitive pricing.
Any covid cautious people or meetups in the area? I'm new out here and having a hell of a time connecting with anyone, very isolated and simply don't go much of anywhere. When I do I'm the only one masking. With H5N1 evolving as it is, I'd really like at least an acquaintance or two locally and some form of social group to attend. Anyone know of anything?
Hear me out, I know it’s safer to just dump an old used mattress, but this one is not either of those. Basically a box mattress that was opened, used once, not liked, then rolled back up in plastic. Walmart does not take back box mattresses once they’ve been opened up, so no dice there.
With that being the case, is there any places I could potentially donate it to instead? I’m not sure if Goodwill would take something like this, so any help is appreciated!
There's gotta be a shop around Wenatchee with a cool Apple themed ornament. Like a blown glass ornament that says Wenatchee WA on it?
Trying to find a gift for my mom back home.
We went to the land trust dinner this past month and was surprised by the truncated presentation. Ms Youmans, somewhat distractedly, focused on thanking contributing members and there was no annual review as in the past. The gathering was not as congenial as it was in previous years. Maybe this was why?
Does anyone know more about this?
Here is a segment of the article, since it is behind a paywall:
" WENATCHEE — Eunice Youmans is out as executive director of the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, according to an email from its board president. Rob Shurtleff, president of the conservation nonprofit’s board of directors, announced the decision to replace Youmans, effective Nov. 18, in an email Thursday to land trust members.
“This decision was made with the support of the entire Board and was not made lightly,” Shurtleff wrote. “We understand the importance of maintaining a strong and cohesive leadership team to continue advancing the mission of CDLT.”
Youmans was hired in 2022 to succeed retired executive director Curt Soper. Reached by phone Friday, Youmans declined to discuss specifics of the board’s decision but said, “I’m just heartbroken about it. I’m devastated. It's been a nightmare.”
While the land trust seeks a replacement, Bob Bugert, its executive director from 2007 to 2016, will serve as interim executive director for four months. Bugert “will work closely with the Board and senior managers Angela Morris and Mickey Fleming to ensure that the organization continues to operate effectively during this transition,” Shurtleff wrote. Shurtleff noted the board's "sincere gratitude to Eunice for her dedication and leadership during her tenure. Eunice has contributed to the organization’s achievements and has played an important role in its ongoing development.”
Is Larry's Chicken still there & open during summer?
Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas are for these annoying drivers in Wenatchee, who think it’s cool to rev their engines and create unnecessary noise all hours of the night, to finally stop 🙏
I typically don't drink alot and if I do I normally just stop and grab a beer and leave it at that, but since it's about to be the holidays, I wanna have a nice wine for the adults to have with dinner. I'm new to the area and haven't found the time to look for a good wine store or check out any of the vineyards yet. So where do all the local enthusiasts get their wines.
It appeared at 5:50pm.
There wasn't much of a clear spot through the clouds so it was only visible for a second or so. It was white when it came into view, then flared up many times larger in a greenish-white light before dimming again. It was heading East-to-West towards Leavenworth/Seattle.
There is so much water accumulated on the north side of the Wenatchee River bridge and since everyone is doing 60 in a 35 - mass amounts of water is being thrown from the left lane into the right lane and taking out your entire field of vision - keep the wipers on high through here!
I'll be working in Wenatchee starting this winter, and found a decent housing opportunity in Leavenworth. I was wondering if the highway between the two places gets too dicey in the winter to make the commute?
Looking for a fun free thing to do with your friends tonight? Come let your nerd-flag fly and impress the other teams with your command of obscure knowledge while you enjoy some frosty adult beverages. There will be prizes and did I mention that it is free? See ya there!
Hello all,
I am an RN coming to Confluence, but am having a hard time deciding what unit to work in, and was wondering if any of you who may work here may be able to offer some insight or general thoughts and feelings about the hospital or whichever unit you may have experience with. I am thinking about the resource or the ICU, torn between the two, but open to other departments too.
Thank you in advance!
Hi Wenatchee community! I am looking for recommendations for a restaurant with really good mariscos. TIA!
Hello Wenatchee Family, I’m a new traveling nurse in town working with Confluence, I don’t have any thanksgiving plans can anyone recommend somewhere to eat ?
Am looking for self defense classes for women with limited mobility.

Looking for a place to renew my certification with a course in Wenatchee or near by, can I do this? I did a cursory search to see if Confluence, the Fire Dept, or WVC offered classes in town, and could not find the info needed. Do folks go all the way to Seattle for this? Any help appreciated. Thank you!
Hello,
I am new to Wenatchee, actually to mainland US, and I never got my licence so I was wondering where can I go or where do I call for a knowledge test. I tried the Driver Licensing Department but they are closed on mondays. Also when I tried making an appointment online, it says there's no locations near 50 mile range. Please help.
