Technically, most of Al's work doesn't actually count as parody. By legal definition, to be a parody, a song (or other work) but directly mock the source. That means songs like "Smells Like Nirvana" and "(This Song's Just) Six Words Long" are parodies, but "White and Nerdy", "Fat", "Can't Watch This", and so on don't count. Instead, most "parodies" actually fall under the categories of pastiche or satire.
A pastiche is similar in concept to a parody but celebrates, rather than mocks, the source, like an homage. It is included with parody as fair use in UK copyright law,[1] but I could not find specific details for the US.
In satire, a work is used to mock something else, unrelated to the original. For example, Al using "American Pie" to mock Star Wars in "The Saga Begins" is satire because the subject of mockery isn't related to the original song. Satire isn't covered under the US fair use doctrine.[2]

For me, it's a ton, mainly word crimes and my bologna.
Is this real or just made up for the movie?
Polkamania is great, but I feel like there are a lot of pretty popular songs Al had to skip because he was covering ten years instead of three to four like he normally does with his polkas (which I assume is because he stopped doing regular albums). If he had done two (2014-2018, 2019-2024) or three (2014-2016, 2017-2020, 2021-2024) over the past decade, what other songs would you have expected to see in them?
Ok so way back when i was just a little bitty boy, i used to live in a box under the stairs of the corner of the basement of the house half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait shop. Well anyways back then life was going swell and everything was just peachy, except my mom fed me sauerkraut untill i was 26 and a half years old. Around that time i swore that someday i would travel to a magical far away ace where the sun is always shining and the air smells like warm root beer and the towels are also fluffy! Anyways the very next day my mom stopped force-feeding me sauerkraut a local radio station had this contest to see who would correctly guess the number of molecules on Leonard Nimoy's butt, I was off by 3 but i still won the grand prize, that's right a first class one way ticket to Albuquerque.
Today seems like a good (Black Friday)day to mention that I’m the world’s most prolific author of books about “Weird Al” Yankovic and that you can buy, signed, directly from me or from Amazon (buy from me, please; they already have enough money) the many books I’ve written about the legendary performer.
These books make great Christmas presents. And what better way to say “I love you.” than with the gift of a book about “Weird Al” Yankovic?
These include
The Weird Accordion to Al: A beautifully illustrated 516-page guide to Al’s life’s work in music, film, and the live stage, featuring an introduction from Al, who also fact-checked and copy-edited (he was very generous with his time). This covers every song on every album, every episode of The Weird Al Show and Al’s season of Comedy Bang Bang, his Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, and essays on The Compleat Al, UHF and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
The Weird A-Coloring to Al: A gorgeously illustrated 120-page coloring book covering every aspect of Al’s career, including Weird: The Al Yankovic Story featuring the artwork of the brilliant Felipe Sobreiro (a contributor to The Illustrated Al, among other distinctions) that Al called
“unquestionably the greatest coloring book of all time” as well as “the perfect gift for hardcore “Weird Al” fans, and...you know, people who just like to randomly color in stuff”
The Weird A-Coloring to Al: Colored In Special Edition
My illustrator is a colorist by trade, so I had him create a kaleidoscopic hardcover colored version of the book with a new introduction from me. The books are signed by Felipe and myself and numbered (270). They also come with a nifty limited edition 5 by 7 print featuring Felipe’s artwork, signed by Felipe and myself, and limited to 27 cards apiece.
Weird Al: The Book: Al personally chose me to write his 2012 coffee-table book Weird Al: The Book. You can buy a signed copy directly from me for the first time ever. This is such a new development that it’s not in my store yet, but if you PayPal me 25 dollars at nathanrabin@sbcglobal.net with your address, I’ll send you a copy.
Get them now before I start charging shipping in January! Please consider buying more than one thing, as I’d love to save on shipping, which is very expensive.

Well I deleted my 2nd attempt at the level 5-1 which is a first level of a food world and I deleted it for now because all I did wasn't satisfying enough (too similar to previous levels and not too many unique level gimmicks). So yeah I need your help with some ideas how could this type of level look like. I know that food level probably should make it easy enough but I got like mind block and I can't get too many interesting food Weird Al related ideas that would be cool in the game.
Here are all ideas that I have for now:
- Something like marble zone in Sonic 1 (Idea I mostly got because one gimmick I want to add is saurekraut as a lava type thing.
- Reference maybe burgeropolis (artwork by Weird Al that u/minnick27 told me about in one of the older posts I did)
- Enemies are that weird slimey dude from ''Food Album'' artwork and Girls to reference how much Al hates that one song parody he did (But I don't know what kind of mechanic I could make with it so yeah I could get some ideas,
I am open to any ideas and to see how the game exactly works like then I recommend playing the demo of it on newgrounds or watching this gameplay:

Is “Airline Amy” the only love song he does that’s kind of a healthy relationship and not one-sided, creepy, stalker-y, or a breakup song? We never get the impression the Amy isn’t into him.
