/r/WaysToPBJ
A subreddit dedicated to all things PBJ. From sandwiches, oatmeal, and more.
Variations of PBJ yet still in the spirit, like almond butter and jam, peanut butter and honey, are also welcome.

This was some true r/MadLads shit but it did not disappoint
Sorry I didn’t take a photo but I didn’t think of it until afterwards when I remembered that this sub exists. But it was tasty enough that I might do it again so maybe a photo next time.
What’s the weirdest thing you have put peanut butter and jam on?
a lot of my friends only like using grape jelly in their PB&Js, but i prefer to use strawberry jelly, or any kind of non-grape preserve. i'm curious if the people of this subreddit are grape jelly purists or prefer to use other types of jellies as well
I'm sure this has been asked already.
What is everyone's go to peanut butter? Do you try new ones? Do you mix up the toppings?
Peanut butter keeps me alive some days! PB is lifeblood
I smash Lay's Potatoes Chips in mine? What about you?
I like to use like a multi grain/seed bread when making my pbjs (i find the sandwich holds up better). A friend of mine said that it ruins the texture of the sandwich. I don't think it does but now I'm starting to think I'm the weird one for using it. And the funny thing is they use crunchy peanut butter which in my mind is no different than the crunch being in the bread.
I used to do the latter, but I’ve recently converted to the former
My usual PB sandwich go to is: toasted sourdough, extra chunky PB, bananas, honey, cinnamon.
I’m wanting to see if I can incorporate cinnamon into a PB&J and am wondering what jam might go best with cinnamon?
I've been wondering. If you had the money and the time to just spend it on a PBJ what type of bread would you use, jelly and peanut butter. Without the worry of a price tag
Fruit & seeds bread, 1/2 cup egg white, pinch of salt, small spoonful of honey, almond extract, and topped with raspberry preserves + drizzled with PB :3
Just stumbled upon this subreddit, and I really want to share something a friend's dad once made. Basically, you know when you have a pack of dried ramen noodles, it's like there are two sheets of noodles stuck together? Well, he had the bright idea to break it into those two even sheets of noodles and, just like a basic PBJ sandwich, slathered some PB on one side and some J on the other. I wanted to be a hater so badly, but there was something inside of me that really enjoyed it. I haven't had the guts to try it since, but it was just something I wanted to share in case anyone has needed an adventure for their flavor buds recently.
For when you run out of bread, but are craving a PB&J. I use a flour wrap, spread peanut butter and jelly on one half and roll it up. Quick and easy way to satiate the craving. Not my preferred method of consumption, but gets the job done.
Fried PBJ's simply hit different.
Just make the sandwich as you usually would then add some butter to a pan and fry it as you would a grilled cheese (about 3 mins on both sides, on med. heat).
Once done, the peanut butter should be ooey gooey while the jelly should resemble that of a warm jelly donut fresh out the fryer.
If you're daring enough to try this, lmk what you think!
I've been told I am a heathen for toasting my PBJs (on wheat bread, too). opinions?
I like PB&J on a waffle, or as a "waffle sandwich". The grooves and valleys help trap the goods, and the batter makes a nice bread substitute, not too sweet because, you know, PBJ.
And no, I didn’t buy them. They were peanut free!
Fight me.
(Sorry no pic.)
But this is the shit.
