I want a small dab pen that probably doesn’t exist.

Finally wanting to try a dab rig. But I want one that doesn’t exist.

So coming from a kodo pro, I ideally want it that size with USB-C.

I also was wondering how much voltage you want to use to get the terpiest hit possible while still being safe, I always used 2.0v on rosin pens and it was definitely my sweet spot—, I’m wondering for live rosin what would be equivalent? I see that some pens have temp presets (which ideally I’d want to custom dial, like the kodo) and some that can, or only show degrees/F°

Also not sure if i’m wanting titanium, quartz, etc (based on my temp preferences above)

TLDR: I’m wanting a high quality device with USB-C and being as small as possible w/variable voltage/temp.

Bubbler for Yocan Orbit?

Has anyone found a bubbler that will attach to the glass mouthpiece?

I’d even take an attachment to a whip or that would allow me to conned to a bong or other bubbler.

Love this thing but sometimes it’s just too damn hot for me.

Need wax pen recommendations!

Hey yall, I'm looking for a pen that is reliable, not too messy and portable. I have gone through both Yocan Evolve Plus & Armor and would prefer to avoid yocan as a whole. Please leave any recs!!!

Upgrading from an Huni-Badger

Recently joined and saw a few posts from 1+years back mentioning cons with the badger that I'm starting to see; Constant cleaning after use for decent hits, Utter Vaporization of my terps, inability to know the temperature of the hit.

I'm using the High temp graph on the hunibadger page for the correct time to guesstimate a decent temped dab at my desk more and more when I'm using it 🙃🙃

I'm looking to upgrade my mobile daily erig. I esk8 everywhere and can find some cool routes or hangout spots and want a high tier piece to match. Heard mixed stuff about Puffco and I'm trying to avoid buyers remorse so I don't have to buy something twice

Best waxpen for small doses?

I have been using cartridges recently to take stealthy, small hits. Usually one or two 3-second puffs is enough to boost my mood & productivity without getting blasted. Thing is, I don't like the wastefulness of constantly buying and discarding cartridges, and I think dabs tend to be a higher quality product anyway. I'm looking for a waxpen that is similar in that I can take small hits and I won't smell like weed afterwards.

AF: why?

I’m totally new to wax pens and vaping. I have always used dry herb or eadibles.

I understand that people want to flash Arctic Fox onto their box mods for various features namely Autofire. Why would one want to autofire? Wouldn’t that just cook away all of the material? Or is the device smart enough with the firmware to detect if you are inhaling? Or something I missed?

Pushed in the tip of seahorse pro plus coil, should I replace?

When I got the device and coil I hadn’t read up on the device much. When I turned it on it had an initial smoky smell which I thought was bad, so I tried to remove the tip of the coil which looked like styrofoam. When I realized it was meant to be there I stupidly pushed it down thinking that’s how it was supposed to be. I am not sure if it’s hindering the performance of the device however it seems to be dirtier that it should bedespite me barely using it, in comparison to my friends.

Utilian 5 battery / box mod alternative Question!

I have had a Utillian 5 wax pen now for over 2 years and finally the battery is now basically dead. It was my first experience with a wax pen and on the whole I have been very happy with it. Unfortunately, buying a direct replacement for the battery seems impossible but also I think it is time to explore box mods.

Ideally I want a box mod that I can use with my existing Utillian heating chamber and coils. Having looked at both the coils (elements, heaty things, scuse my non- nomenclature) and the spec for the Utillian 5 itself:

Coils recommended wattage range 15-25W Heat output range 2.2v to 2.8v Battery 1500mAh

When using a box mod; I am assuming that if I exceed 25w then the coils will burn out; I see a lot of box mods rated to 200w and wonder is thay overkill or are there other attachments that are rated significantly higher that I might want to try in the future?

Again, same assumptions with the heat range; I shouldn't exceed 2.8v or it will burn out the coil?

The battery 1500mAh I take as 'battery life capacity' meaning the bigger that number the longer / harder you can go? I realise how dumb I sound right now, apologies.

Anyway, I wanted to check to see if I am understanding things correctly but also if anyone has any recommendations for a replacement battery/box mod that would suit my needs. I am on a bit of a budget, so not looking to spend beyond $100 ideally.

Thank you!

Was thinking of buying a Yocan Zen, any better alternatives at the same price point?

Hello! I’m a complete beginner and am looking to buy my first vaporizer. I’m thinking of getting a Yocan Zen. Is there any better alternatives around the same price point or is the Zen the way to go? Is the Zen capable of smoking live rosin? I literally know nothing. Thank you guys for the help! 😁

Yocan quartz tip on lookah seahorse pro?

I got a few yocan quartz tips for my lookah seahorse pro because the shop didn’t have any tips for seahorse specifically. It has the 510 connection and screws on completely, but the light blinks and it doesn’t heat up when I try to use it. I haven’t used my seahorse for a while so I’m not sure if it’s just not charging or if for some reason they just incompatible. Has anyone else had this issue?

My Yocan UNI pro is glitching please help

I’m at a loss, I’ve been googling and I can’t find an answer for what’s happening with my battery. I haven’t touched it for a few days, and last night I went to use it and it said it’s charging (like the battery is flashing and loading like it’s charging)((it’s at 3 bars)) but it’s not plugged in?? And then today I left it off all day, I go to take a dab and it’s again ‘charging’ but not, and I can’t get it to stop today 😭 I’m going to my local dispensary, but if they don’t have answers I’m hoping someone here does :’)

Edit * my dispensary had no answers and basically said to let it die and buy a new one (financially not a great option rn)

Edit 2-*** thank you for all the great responses!!! Kinda figured she was dead. A lil disappointed- I was expecting more longevity out of a YoCan device :( oh well I guess it was only $40. Thanks again guys :D

BHO/CBD Isolate carts?

Has anybody added CBD Isolate to a BHO concentrate before decarbing it for DIY vape carts? I succesfully did my first cart with only wax yesterday and was wondering if adding CBD Isolate was possible for the next time I will be making myself a cart.

Will they completely blend together?

Will it thicken or thin the mixture?

Up to how much Isolate can I add in there, what bho/isolate ratios are possible for one 1ml cart?

Before anybody mentions it, I don't have access to CBN, CBC and CBG. I don't want to add terpenes either, I decarb at very low heat to preserve the terps already in the concentrate . My ultimate goal is to make BHO and Isolate only carts.

Thank you for your help!

Utillian how to use

Utillian 5 how to use

Utillian 5 advice

Could just use some guidance on how to do hits with my utillian 5 pen. I feel like I’m inhaling metallic/plastic fumes from the pen itself even with wax loaded in. So I load the pen, and then do I heat it first for a couple of seconds and inhale with the heating button still held? Or do I heat the wax first while holding the button, let go, and then take a hit? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pulsar Barb Fire

Hey friends! I’ve tried searching for an answer but need some clarification. I currently have a dirty Pulsar Barb Fire Atomizer that I need to clean. The coil placement doesn’t allow me to get a Q-Tip to the bottom of the quartz cup. Is there any tricks to cleaning this? Do I soak the entire atomizer in a small bowl of Isopropyl Alcohol?

Yocan Buyer Beware!!!

Hey all,

I am a big collector of e-rigs and pens. When I want to buy something new or get a new device I will often check out these and similar Reddit subs to learn about the product. You usually have three types of people. The ones that are there to troubleshoot or have a problem, those thinking of purchasing and wanting to learn more and then those who got one recent enough to enjoy that devices content.

I have several Yocan products. Recently I purchased a Yocan Rex from LighterUSA. I wanted to try out the e-nail after seeing a YouTube video. When mine arrived, I immediately put it to use and fell in love with the function of it. After several cycles through the device it started to give me a series of flashes (3 white) and it showed in manual and online to be atomizer problem. Device came with two so I tried the second unused for troubleshooting, cleaned, etc. Long story shorter, it was a bad device so I sent email to LighterUSA and Yocan. LighterUSA apologized but only returns new unused devices and said all sales final. Then the communication with Yocan begins.

In my initial email I sent all the information you would need. My personal and contact info, the purchase date, the company of purchase, I included the receipt, I explained what I did and how it reacts as well as what LighterUSA said. I then spent a straight week of waking up to a email asking for a piece of information that was previously included. Then I was asked for video. I was told it was a short circuit and that I would need to contact the retailer as they do not hand warranty items directly. After reexplaining they had me fill out a form for warranty and then said they would contact LighterUSA to explain their warranty process. Days go buy and I contact them back for an update. The update was they are offering me a 30% off coupon to their site. I

went to the site and the device with shipping and coupon used would cost me more than I paid for original device to the house!!! Because its 30% off MSRP! So that's the 90 day Yocan warranty, spend weeks jumping hoops and get a coupon code in exchange for a device that died on day 1. I see sites online that sell the battery to the REX which is the guts that are broke for $18 and they are making a profit on that. So Yocan has chosen to not honor the warranty on a item that cost them peanuts. What if this happened to the Yocan Black series devices I was eyeing up? $150 device DOA and you get a coupon code for money off next? Well that stupid decision to refuse me a warranty replacement on a $18 item will cost them far far more with me and that's before I save and share this where prudent or when their brand comes up in discussion.

People deserve to know!! Stuff happens to devices and sometimes you need support. I have a large collection and over the last few years I have had to reach out to Loohak, Ispire and Puffco. Lookah and Ispire took care of me and rolled out the red carpet. Yocan is flat our refusing to honor warranty with no reason given other than they are a big company and don't want bothered. That's not ok and I will make it known. So if getting a bunk device is a concern for you when you make a purchase., know that Yocan comes with no support and no warranty and that's a first hand account from someone with all the receipts, video and email trail to share.

BEWARE -- O2Vape Flip physicals failure. O2 blamed me and blocked me on twitter.

I bought a Flip, June 22. In September, the entire 510 socket physically broke (the metal cracked internally). I attempted to get a warranty replacement and though they did offer me an RMA, they wanted me to pay for shipping AND $15. Combined, that is about half of the cost of the device.

They started by telling me the "contact plate" breaks regularly and functionally blamed me because I didn't clean it. The contact plate was fine! I asked to be spared the shipping cost due to the physical defect and they AGAIN blamed me for leaky tanks and not cleaning it.

At this point I was frustrated and provided pictures of the failure. The response was:

" To be clear and avoid any confusion, I understand what you are saying.

You are saying the base broke off the battery, when you opened the arm.  I didn’t request a picture or need it because you have had the battery for months without an issue.  Wiring defects are pretty quick to show themselves and do not happen months after use.  It’s also more likely that you would have experienced error codes prompting a conversation.  We see this happen to batteries for many reasons, leaky tank is the most notable and so is dropping your device. While many other factors go into why a battery breaks, we cover all of the reasons under the Lifetime Warranty which you are free to use at any time. "

This was never a wiring defect, I provided pictures which they clearly didn't look at to see the physical failure of the metal (the wire broke after the fact). The device was never dropped, open or closed, I actively cleaned the socket (it wasn't the contact plate anyway) and when I posted to Twitter about it, They blocked me....

If you want the email / picture (I sent more but it was just different angles) please check out my twitter post.

https://twitter.com/Razlos/status/1638035996171452418

So TLDR: They know their devices break, they don't care and won't help you unless you pay another ~50% of the cost of the device.

Want to switch to concentrates, vaporizer or E-Nectar collector?

As the title states, I want to switch from hitting dry herb to mostly concentrates, I’ve been smoking dry herb for several years but all my friends smoke concentrates and have convinced me to switch. Ive never had a device that can hit concentrate before and I want to get something, nice, reliable, easy to use, and somewhat portable for my first time. I’ve been looking at three devices: The Puffco Proxy, the storz and Bickel mighty, and the Huni Badger. I’m not sure what the advantages are of having an E nectar collector like the huni badger is, or if I should stick with a vaporizer. Any advice would be appreciated! Smoke on!
