The Home of Wave on Reddit.
Wave is a genre which emerged initially out of the UK, mainly taking influence from trap, dubstep, grime, ambient, witch house and other bass genres. The genre itself has a range of sounds, but remains unique and identifiable due to its keen emphasis on emotion, melody and an ethereal feel.

Maybe unpopular opinion here, but I've been noticing too many wave phonk tracks are dropping, with some of the "heavyweights" in the genre dropping tracks that sound off, for example the vocals do not even fit the track or they're straight up off. Pretty much low quality work that is taking away from the few good tracks, and making it harder to find them. Am I the only one to think that?

Sharing the best hardwave/phonk 2024, IMO
I really like mixes with lots of wave in it, especially hard wave. I love listening to Skeler’s night drive mixes as well as the knock offs that follow his style. I really enjoy a lot of SoundCloud hardwave from people like aestral and brothel.
I would love to see what mixes you all like, or just recommendations for new music. I really want to branch out into more chill styles of wave, even though I really like the harder beats of trap wave songs.

Hi guys, What do you start with when you create a sound? Bass, melody, vocal? How do you determine if you have a good melody? By working on it, we are not always objective! Thank you
