I came across these tweed straps and I cannot make up mind on if it compliments a watch or takes the attention away from the watch itself. I’m also thinking it could easily end up looking tacky. What is everyone’s thought?
This would be to replace the leather strap that is currently on my denim blue dial Railmaster. Initially I was searching for a suede strap to create a bit more of a textured and casual look but the tweed may have caught my interest.
I have purchased very few leather straps and most of the ones I have owned were pretty thin and flimsy. I am looking for a slightly more substantial leather strap, but not like a chunky pilot band. I have a couple decent ones from Etsy sellers but those too are a little thin. Anyone have recommendations? Especially under $45.
Love the overall design of this watch but i know there is no way this is an original design and i would much prefer buying the authentic watch assuming it’s not like $20k lol. If anyone knows who makes the original or at least can direct me towards some more reputable brands that make a similar design it would be greatly appreciated!
Women's analog compass automatic watch
Hi all, As the subject mentions, I am looking for a wrist watch that is simple yet effective. Have searched online and Amazon but all I see are bulky men's watches. Or a compass. Nothing that combines both in a small wrist watch. Any suggestions please?
Don't wish to spend more than $300 but if it's solar powered can go higher. Thanks.
Any AD recommendations for watches?
Here’s some levity from the current geopolitical climate, what’s your end of the world watch?
From my collection, it would probably be my SEIKO SPB143 or my SKX007. Good beater watches that would be easy to replace the movements for functionality.
Dream watch might be the Citizen Promaster Land U822. 200m water resistance, eco drive for accuracy and longevity. Compass, alarm, world timer, and a power indicator. It has it all!
I am pretty new to collecting (became very interested in mechanical watches after I was given the Seiko 5) and after a little while this is my watch case. I can't afford a lot of the amazing watches that some of you have on here, but I would love to own a speedy or Grand Seiko someday. Probably not for awhile though. In the meantime I'm becoming very interested in smaller brands-- something from Baltic or Traska will likely be my next purchase.
I am looking for a affordable automatic watch that is time only and has a screw down crown. No day or day window.
Can anyone help me get suggestions on a seiko as a gift for my girlfriend? It'd be her first watch that isn't a Casio so I'd like if it was an automatic. Something on the smaller side, black dial is more her speed, nothing too crazy. I'm also a college student so hopefully nothing over 300 bucks.
Something like photo is the idea, maybe someone could ID that!
Hi, I am looking to procure 4 watches..
MENS - BALLON BLEU DE CARTIER WATCH - 40 MM - or the Santos Dumont - W2SA0038 - 2 nos. Open to considering WSTA0040
And
TANK MUST DE CARTIER WATCH - WSTA0106 - 2 nos.
Hoping to get a good deal to buy these. Anyone recommend their ADs / know of any who can help?
I've heard of folks refer to this watch as a beater watch. I suppose thats all relative to ones budget. It may not be for everyone, but I dig it.
Hi!
I recently rediscovered an old Nappey watch I bought at a market in Cannes back in 2013. I tried to look it up on google, including google image search, but got 0 results for it. I’ve been wondering what year it may have been made/popular around? Additionally was wondering if it had any value (besides sentimental of course!)
Thank you for any assistance!
I have been eyeing on the Moonswatch line up since their release, but their steep pricing for a pair of plasticky watch has been something that wards me off from it. A friend went to a swatch boutique the other day, took a picture of the new moonphases, and lo and behold, there is snoopy, idling with woodstock on the watch dial, and the rest was history.
The Skyhawk’s functionality serves me well in the cockpit. It may not be the fancy Swiss models that I find myself lusting over, but it is a practical aviation tool watch worn by many aviation professionals.
Multi-function capabilities, effortless time zone changes + ZULU display, reliable eco-drive technology, and pin-point accuracy thanks to it’s atomic timekeeping… The list goes on. Very happy with this timepiece, and thank you for welcoming me to my first Reddit post.
Can anyone identify the exact model?
Which specific watch brand/model/style would Lana Del Rey in her femme fatale glam period appreciate and admire on a man?
I am specifically curious what someone with her glamorous style would admire in terms of modern masculine horology- especially with her neo noir aesthetic.
I can envision her staring across a dimly lit bar and romantically looking down at a man’a wrist and smiling softly. She inquires as to what watch brand? So, what is it?
Hi, when I was young I got this watch from my parents. This is my first watch ever so I would like to keep it in decent shape. I don't have experience in replacing belts so I'm looking for one that would match in appearance and at the same time not be rubbery. Can you guys recommend something?
Hello, I am planning to get a his&hers for our 15th anniversary. I am really interested in getting the Verden GMT - Sienna for my self and a Vesterhav 38 for my wife.
My wife has small wrists and she doesn't really like to wear big watches, she loves her Tudor 1926 36 mm.
Was wondering if this would be a good choice for us. Henry Archer website says it's under women's watches, but wanted to see if they are really that size.
Thanks again,
I love vintage explorers especially the Rolex explorer 6350 but unfortunately as a student these models are out of reach at the moment.
Luckily this Lorier scratches the itch for a vintage explorer more than enough so I can enjoy a vintage explorer type watch but with modern reliability. I ordered a custom leather strap for it last week so Im excited to see how that will change the look!
Anybody know the watch Nate is rocking?
My 3 best watches I own. (I have others but nothing too great) It’s not much in the grand scheme of things but I just picked up the Seiko 5 in Italy this past November as my introduction to the watch hobby…haven’t stopped looking since.
What should I look into to replace or add to these? I’ve been looking at the Hamilton Khaki Expedition or possibly another Seiko or Bulova.
Would love a Longines or Omega but not ready to jump that high just yet. Preferably $1300 or less.
Really want to get a leather strap for my Tissot Gentleman 40mm, so I can switch it around with the bracelet.
I really want a strap with either a butterfly or deployment clasp. There was an overwhelming amount of information and different measurements when I looked around, so I'd love to hear from people with experience with this particular model or that are more knowledgeable when it comes to switching bracelets/straps around.
Thanks!
