Allies in V10

Hello!

I'm playing DG, and I was wondering if I could take some Chaos Knights in my army list.
I'm unable to find any mention of allies in the Leviathan Rulebook or the DG index.

  1. Are there allies in V10?

  2. If so, where can I find the rules in writing, please ?

Thanks in advance!

Does the balance dataslate apply to combat patrol?

For example changes to army rules? Like the Aeldari army rule?

Help for returning player.

Hello!

I used play 40K back in 5-6th edition, I had 1750-2000 points of Space Wolves and played Wolves only for about 4 years. Eventually I had to sell my little collection for money for University, however I am getting back into the hobby now that things have improved on the money/not being a broke student front.

My biggest question is what are the largest changes from 5th edition to 10th edition, it can be rule changes, the way the game is played, the culture around the game, and so on. Basically I'm just curious about what I've been missing from then to now and things to prepare myself for before I launch back into 40K

Thanks in advance.

Tips for finding a game shop

I'm trying to get into the hobby and I'd like to find a store with some options, but everything near me seems like it's primarily card shops. Any tips to filter searches better? Or should I just suck it up and order a basic kit online to get started?

What are your thoughts

Do you think that this is a good way to potentially get my brothers into tabletop gaming? I currently have a kill team squad, but nobody to play with.

How to Deathwatch

So recently I picked up a group of Reiver Marines, and learned through the 40K app there's a Deathwatch unit called 'Spectrus Kill Team.' They looked basically the same apart from the Deathwatch parts (which I bought) and have since split my group of reivers into 5 reivers and 5 of these spectrus guys. Did I do something wrong? Either way, my (what I hope are) Deathwatch guys look pretty cool
